I didn’t get anything new out of the free multis, a dupe of Stahn/Kyle, and I saw Leia’s summer MA too many times. I sparked a dupe Flynn 5* since I had all of them.
As for the Fes tickets, the only MA I didn’t see was marching band Annie, but I got Hilda’s a few times which was good.
Not bad.
Got a new Yuri/Flynn and Cheria/Elanor, and a dupe Leia/Alicia and Estelle/Philia.
Also new wedding Elanor and band Annie, and new standards to awaken Eugene, Moses and Tytree.

If anyone wants a recommendation on what 5* to spark on the free multi banner, I would recommend Flynn's 5*. Similar to Asbel's crit spam bonanza, Flynn also has this as a 1 combo hit and no element, with the 6th arte enhancement being +2 Crit Rate. You won't get the same big numbers, but if you're fishing for crits, this is the next best.
When it comes to rarity though, I think it's better to grab any 2nd 5*s whenever they're available since you get 1st 5* selector tickets from raids.

His ending MA? It looks like a much more dramatic version of Bolt Tempest, which was just a normal mystic for him. Edna and Mikleo use their Armatized weapons but the attacks aren't the same as their Armatized-with-Sorey counterpart.

There's no real consistency. The Rays OCs all got their burst during the Anni party event, Karol's expedition event gave burst to everyone on it, Alph/Shion/Rita SG event gave them bursts, the loser xMAs events gave out bursts like candy.
Anyone who already got their base 5 either got burst or reverse or Collab.

I did wonder why they didn’t give Karia an eMA. But it was meant to be a big ending, they wanted people to enjoy it and not get completely screwed over during pulls. Plus the pool was already loaded because Ix and Mileena have double everything, and Kocis had 2 sMAs.

It was since they gave every unit a normal bonus boost. I think this is the first event (in a very long time) that we cant make a fully boosted team. Like the Slayers 2 grind event only had Rina/Naga/Xel on the banner, but the older collab units also gave the premium drops so you had someone to fill the 4th slot with.

Not entirely true. They both have dMAs, which are practically always locked behind paid banners, same for Stahns oMA. Stahn has nothing else, and Barb has a seasonal that’s not in the pool because they decided to rerun the same exact event for it at the same time. SGs are a-whole-nother story.
You also need multiple dupes for any old MA/5* to give them a worthwhile bonus, since the real bonus increase is tied to all the new gear. I think a die hard whale would have a max of like 50-60 bonus if they have Stahn duped out without any new gear.

Looks like they're going to update the line up in 5*/MA selectors in an update on the 28th. 5*/MAs that were released up to March 2022. They're also adding seasonal MA tickets and selectors to the turtlez shop exchange.
Also the series gacha banners will also get an updated line up. Gear that was released up to November 2022 will be on those banners.
If you have an unused selector, it will stay in your inventory, but they are updating the name of the new tickets, so im not sure if those will get an updated pool.

This event should correspond with the d1 anniversary though (...it's 2 months late). As opposed to the sgma event, which was on d2's anniversary and featured mostly d1 characters (...you could similarly argue that rutee and woodrow have a decent amount of screentime in d2, i guess.)
They chose Stahn because otherwise, this raid wouldn't even finish the second boss before the event ends
Previous raids where it was mostly unpopular characters didn't have this issue before. Maybe it's just really bad timing to pull this off right before a potential Collab and anniversary.
Unison Attack, Best Heroes, All Out Tower are running at the same time as the raid too.
That really doesnt mean much since none of these modes use stamina, and everyone would clearly waste their stamina first before playing any of these. This event was just terrible planning on their part. Maybe had they kept their mouth completely quiet about a collab, or just save the damn thing for AFTER anni, this would have been abit more active, but anni is still something people focus on more. And this year the party theme seasonal will most likely go out to actual Tales characters rather than the OCs, since they all got stuff in the last anni.
As for now, i think the only thing that can save the raid is if they hurry up and announce the collab. People are holding their stashes in fear of it being a popular IP or their fav gets an outfit. Announce it now and get it out of the way so that people can spend on either this event or that.

I think the problem is that it's not because the raid is slow. This is the usual pacing of any raid event. It's just that we're seeing this with a strict timeframe to complete it
The one for Miktran had more days so no complained about its slowness if you want to compare Destiny raids.
To be fair, I think they're aware that this raid would suffer so they lowered the point total and giving everyone a costume just to entice them to roll.
The only downside to having Ix in a collab is because he has way too many stuff and would clog up the pool just by merely including him.
Doesnt matter much, they're not putting everything in it, just his 2 seasonals and 2 gMAs. They may not even put gMAs on it because all these characters are ancient, and they haven't been adding everyone's first 5* to pools in awhile, so that would take out his 2 5*s (his first one and the Kocis Arc 2 one)

I think it's partially because most of them have had content pretty recently? Harold's last ma was just last summer. Judas just got his sgma... Kyle's ema was a while ago but it was still not even a year ago. That reduces it down to Loni and Nanaly? Who would both be sort of odd choices for this event line-up. Maybe Loni since Stahn is here, but I'm not sure who he'd be pushing out for that, unless they want to drop Atwight/Chaltier or not introduce Karell.

If they did send out a last minute update for this raid, it wouldnt be the first time. One of the God Eater collabs (i think it was the first one that added Alisa because i remember the event stage select looking really different) was a hybrid raid/item grind event where everyone b***hed about the ridiculous goal, so they boosted point gain. The anniversary raid against Magnedeus also got a boost because people hated how gimmicky his fight was so everyone was getting points slower
I never understood why they decided to make the 4th anni such an utter pain in the neck by making Magnadeus be a massive gatekeeper. The characters they chose for the event are also counterintuitive because they trigger his MA switch. Not like the other choices are better
Everything triggered that sonabitch’s MA. If I remember right, one of the fights specifically targeted Ix and his cheese iframes/dash artes. I have it ingrained how most of the fights were set to have him instantly start casting a super fast full map AoE team wipe spell, where the only thing you have time to do is use your helper or someone’s SG to stop him. Sure, it was challenging, but god damn they went overkill.

The event itself is at 70% competition, which is a pretty decent jump when it was 50% yesterday, but whatshisface boss guy is at 44%. This feels weird, no?

There's a lot of autism about the raid progress going on all over this thread.
The funny thing is that there's absolutely nothing unusual about the progress. This raid is not slow, normal raids usually do take about a week to complete. The difference in this raid is that it's 8 days instead of 10-12, so everyone is just more conscious of the deadline.
Its not just here, its the same on twitter and the games fan discord. It just falls back to being very poor planning; a short raid with characters that are below mediocre popularity and just barely have any equipment (Stahn and Barb being the attention bringers). Then a mystery collab teased as soon as the PV for this raid was released, now that was just a low blow. This one really did get too close for comfort, not that all the paranoia was warranted, but part of it was reasonable.
They'll announce an extension soon. We're not even halfway to finishing Miktran as we speak

To be fair for Zestiria. They had three characters for bonus. Destiny has a whooping 6 characters for bonus complete with mirrors for all of them

Plus xMAs only max out with 50% bonus as opposed to eMA/oMA bonus of 100%, so the swordians & Barbatos' max potential bonus is only about 80-100% and Stahn doesn't have a burst so his potential max is about 130%, while the Zesty's had e/oMAs plus bursts so their potential bonus was 130-150% each.
In Zestiria's case. In a what if scenario their raid fails, there's no major consequences because you don't even unlock anyone new for that event. Lose out on a few dias but they're plentiful elsewhere.
Harold's brother will likely never get content again so if we missed out on him. He's forever gacha locked because he's a raid character.

The theory about Luminaria being not related to Tales at all seems pretty likely since Arise had nothing to do with Tales when it was first developed.
Even character design wise, it looked more fitting to be on FE rather than Tales.

You'd need a lot more OCs, the crossover character are way more tightly integrated than any other game. Richter and Lukius are pretty essential for Mercuria's character arc. Hell, there's probably just as much Spiria linking, if not MORE, in Rays as in Hearts, and all of that is just scratching the surface.
Plus the 9 "playables", frequently aren't in the same place or even working together at all. Your party would be pretty anemic most of the time.

They usually talk about going to devs/artist and asking them for permission or how they want their characters handled. Sounds like someone on the Link team doesn't like their characters mingling with others very much.
The weirdest thing is that Asteria had no issues with them whatsoever. They got their own Christmas themed banner. Sara got wedding, Kana got swimsuit, and Allen got a super rare gacha unit on different dates not related to Link. Maybe Rays had no room for them for some reason.
I mean Rays has no problem celebrating the Link anni every year, and Sara and Kana are the only ones with seasonals. Maybe its voice acting issues? Maybe its not a big demand, you'd think someone would've asked during all those months of Q&A/feedback response.
Kana, Allen, and Zephyr have big names seiyuus. But I doubt Bamco has issues getting their VAs to record some lines for gacha cards or something. They can get Nana fricking Mizuki everytime they want Colette to have content
It's possible asteria just doesn't care about the wishes of the original writers (considering how the story of that game is, I doubt they do.)

His roles got replaced but he still retained some of his roles. Reputation is entirely ruined though
Tatsuki didn't do fine at all. He had far more roles replaced than Sakurai has in the same time frame. He's still Aegis because it's such a minor role for a dead game that replacing him would have cost more than keeping him.
He wasn't replaced for Noctis despite how prominent that role is. I guess it depends.
Asbel may or may not be safe but I suspect that they might reconsider replacing him. Frankly speaking, it's not like we're getting a Graces remaster anytime soon but the mobile games and Talesfes are still ongoing. That's not counting the other content where they need voices and Asbel has always been a mainstay.

Lailah's va died not only before the anime, but before she got added to any crossover games at all. I think her new va has probably recorded more lines for lailah than her origninal va at this point.

Asbel is popular enough to get multiple sMAs and xMAs if they have to but the safest bet will be Asteria at this point. They've been doing this thing where the main party of each story arc an anniversary outfit and Asbel still hasn't gotten one.

This guy out here getting S rank on every fight of the element tower, and im here trying to avoid sitting with it for 30 minutes to complete it. With the amount of playable units in the game, wish they would give this a quick overhaul.
After you've played long enough, everything just becomes really easy. Your units get stronger while the enemies stay the same. Having everyone's spirit gear is especially useful for the all out tower as it's a free MA shot. Eventually you won't even need to change your team arrangement much each month.
You can pause and take breaks, if you back out after a set of 5 fights it saves where you were.

Asteria has been rumored to go EoS several times but I think these past few days felt like this is going to be real. At this point, players should've gotten some info about the 9th anniversary but there isn't. Not even the illustration campaign that they held before to keep players engaged that isn't part of the game.

I think Bamco was bound to pull the plug on Asteria eventually even if it continued to break even or make a small profit. If it doesn't attract new players anymore, then at some point such an old game just becomes an obsolete eyesore and doesn't fit in with the rest of the brand anymore. Especially during an era when Tomizawa is trying to revamp the brand into his version of nuTales.
It's just a shame that it's happening in the middle of a story arc that's being received well among the fans and is a lot better than the previous one. I wonder if they'll find a way to continue the story the way they're doing with Crestoria.
