It's more like the filler movies; go to new location for festival followed up by legendary shenanigans.

He's a character that starts friendly then becomes less friendly, surprisingly that's something new for the series

Gen9gays should be shot, this homosexual is about as ass as Hau, Hop and the moronic rival from LGPE

    >Teal Mask was legit just filler
    How so?
    >You learn what the terastal phenomen caused into other regions
    >You learn about ogerpon's weird connection with terastal
    >You meet briar
    >You learn more about terapagos
    >And on top of that the whole thing was also a build up for the second DLC
Meanwhile the DLC1 for SWSH was just a mediocre standalone with no connection to the lore with the galar region or the DLC

Also, aren't you confusing the concepts of filler and unfun? They're not correlated.

What we learn about Terapagos that we didn't knew already?

  4. 6 months ago

It exists to bridge base SV with TID.
Briar brings Tera Orb technology to Blueberry Academy.
Kieran is obsessed with beating you and his grudge against you closes out this chapter and starts the next.
Carmine suggests you should visit Blueberry at the end of the game.

Teal Mask is setup for your postgame journey that's initially disguised as filler you're meant to use to take breaks between Victory Road, Path of Legends and Starfall Street.

I started it yesterday and it has been surprisingly fun and more challenging in general, but that also might be because I'm using a new team and I'm out of my comfort zone compared to my 'mons in Paldea which I used for 40 hours
I would also advise just bringing one Pokemon from Paldea to Kitakami, and build a whole new team from there
Pic related is my team in Kitakami

This is what I did and what Im doing in rest od dlc.
My flapple was based as frick starter choice.

Did you do anything to gimp the Chien-Pao? Seems like it would be ridiculously easy with that mon. I was probably going to go in with an Iron Bundle that only has physical moves.

        Anonymous

No I didn't gimp it, but at the same I didn't do anything to improve him
I just caught him at lvl. 60, and soon after I started the DLC
He is pretty fricking strong and fast I reckon, but at the same time any fire, fight, rock and steel type will decimate him
If you look closely at my team fire types in general will fricking annihilate my team, I realized that too late but oh well, it's an added challenge lol

I caught my whole team fresh, burned through a lot of candies to keep them from falling behind the DLC curve, but otherwise enjoyable.

Too lazy to do the team planner on the site, so I'll just list them.

      >Politoed
      >Shiftry
      >Chandelure
      >Kommo-o
      >Gliscor
      >Probopass

I went in blind, so finding out Kieran uses half of my team was weird, there seems to be no end to cucking this kid.

Which is a good thing. We need more lore, world and character building like the Kitakami adventure gave us. It had more packed into it that SV itself.

Only if you genuinely think the answer to the mystery is time travel. They put up so much framing for imagination it's unreal.

It's just for the sake to give you ogerpon and don’t have Kieran be randomly incelne and evil by the second DLC.

    It's a cash in on Donbrother's popularity.

    > Keiran is friendly with the player and eventually becomes obsessed with beating the player like Sonoi and has a darker personality which may be his true self like Jiro.

    > Mostly filler like Donbrothers

    > Momotaro motifs, with ranger like festival masks

    > the Oni is a female and one of the good guys the whole time

    > the Oni and Bandit trio can eventually become your companions

    > Matsuri da! Matsuri da! Hahahahahaha!

Seems more like it was setting up the stage for Indigo Disk.
Considering there's side quests coming from Kitakami, it legitimately feels like they saved everything for DLC2.

It's mid as hell but provides for a very interesting setup if part 2 can deliver on it
