My favorite parts of tekken stories are when the mishimas are having their serious epic feud, and then random people just kinda stumble into the middle of it. The Blood Vengence movie is kind of the perfect example of it, you spend 2/3rds of the movie with two highschool girls and an angsty immortal boy, and then towards the end Kazuya, Heihachi and Jin literally bust in through the walls, Heihachi snaps the angsty homosexual's spine and them they have a grand battle. It's such a ridiculous shift it's very entertaining
My favorite part is how canonical Paul basically wins the tournament aspect every time but the NU-UH MISHIMA REALLY DID X!
Paul gets no respect but is ridiculously overpowered if you are good at reading opponents.
What little is seen from T8's story, they seem to want to put an end to it. Kazuya will be defeated and Jin will embrace his devil side in proper way, and then Kazuya will jump into Hell to cut down tree's roots... no, wait, wrong game.
Jin is the closest, with being an edgy teen/young adult not truly feeling connected to his demon heritage coming from his villain father, despite using the powers, and leaning towards good side when times call for it. The family dynamics is different, and Vergil wasn't even around to claim his kid, but the vibe is pretty much the same. Jin's girlfriend will never have Kyrie's glorious ass, though.

you just activate the crack in CE on character select. Some characters cant be played, to avoid crashes only select the characters who appeared in arcade quest and super ghost. Hovering over Devil Jin will crash the game.

To be honest, I could see a reboot to the story coming in one of the games following T8. When you have a global conflict against an evil overlord, you can't really up the stakes very much, unless you want to make evolve it into a galaxy-wide conflict. There's just nowhere to go, you've written yourself into a corner.

When things got out of hand he made Jin clean his shit up and then put a bullet in his grandson who viewed him as a father figure. All in all he's a maniac obsessed with power, willing to sacrifice everything and trying to pose as a hero to create a legacy and you and everyone who only played 7 got gaslit by him.

I admittedly have barely played T4, T6 or TTT2, but I think 3, 5 and Tag Tournament are the best ones they've made so far. 5 is probably my personal favorite.
1 and 2 feel a lot more like Virtua Fighter. 2 is basically just a better version of 1 in every way. 3 is where the game started becoming what it is now and is still one of the best entries imo, and I think 5 is kinda just like a better version of 3. Tekken Tag Tournament is great as well, kinda feels like a party game version of 3.

To be honest, I could see a reboot to the story coming in one of the games following T8. When you have a global conflict against an evil overlord, you can't really up the stakes very much, unless you want to make evolve it into a galaxy-wide conflict. There's just nowhere to go, you've written yourself into a corner.

I admittedly have barely played T4, T6 or TTT2, but I think 3, 5 and Tag Tournament are the best ones they've made so far. 5 is probably my personal favorite.
1 and 2 feel a lot more like Virtua Fighter. 2 is basically just a better version of 1 in every way. 3 is where the game started becoming what it is now and is still one of the best entries imo, and I think 5 is kinda just like a better version of 3. Tekken Tag Tournament is great as well, kinda feels like a party game version of 3.
