How do I gitgud with Lili? What are some of her best combos? I'm new to Tekken and I'm
Only capable of 1234 down 4, back 3/4->3/4, or backdown 4 into anything. I feel like I do much, much better mashing, blocking, and using special when their health is low.
First off. Do the combo challenges and repeat each of them toll they become muscle memory. This way you can fish for openings and when you land one you can reflexively secure damage without thinking about it. These are your fundies.
They're all super easy. If you can't consistently lamd them then you are not ready to move onto larger improvised strings. It will make sense once you hit the lab.
>Finally for ethernet since everyone in these threads whines about it and honestly I feel no difference. As I thought, my WiFi was already pretty good.
when will you people learn? YOU will NEVER feel a difference when YOU play ethernet or wifi, the issue is not what YOU experience, the issue is what ANYONE ELSE playing with you(when you use wifi) gets.
ethernet = almost no packet loss BOTH in download(when you receive data from the other player) and in upload(when you send your data to the other player)
wifi = packet loss close to ethernet in download to the point where you will see no difference, but A LOT of packet loss in upload.
you will 99% never see a difference, cause the issue is exactly that as a wifi player you'll see no issue while anyone else fighting specifically against YOU will get lost frames, lag spikes, and awful rollback frames, and that's the core of the issue, the desync between what you see on your screen(100% fine) and what you send in UPLOAD to the opponents not matching.
on top of this, what most people dont get is that if their wifi connection is good, then their ping is low, and that makes things worse, cause the ms in the ping is the amount of ms the rollback frames have to compensate for the packet loss
>my WiFi was already pretty good.
no it wasn't >b-b-but my heckin' fast connection
No matter how "fast" it is, it will have packet loss. Meaning, it will always have lag spikes on the other end.
Anyone else feel like Lars's friendship with Jin was completely fake? I mean this is the guy who explicitly admitted he wanted to kill Jin even in Tekken 7 but decided it'd be better to use Jin to stop Kazuya. I wouldn't be surprised if Lars goes full Tekken 3 Heihachi and just guns down Jin first chance he gets now.
be honest bros...
Is there a chance that miguel will be back?
I miss my angy spanish man and only reason I hesitate to buy T8 is because no one from current roster looks like they'd play like him...
He’s 100% coming back. He just had to be out of the way because he was inconvenient for the story they wanted to tell of Jin being the big hero. Plus I’m positive his Tekken 7 ending is canon which explains his absence. Now that Jin’s happy and wants to plow Xiaoyu’s cheeks, Miguel will strike.
Why not SP 1?
According to some alleged datamines Eddy, Lidia, Marduk, and Fahk will be the season 1 characters but I’m not sure how reliable that is.
If Miguel were here I'd like to imagine him just walking into Jin mid conversation and everyone becoming silent for a bit before he leaves and they can start talking again.
But you stop seeing Victor once you hit red ranks. Saw like two when I was in ganryu and then stopped seeing them completely at shinryu, Tenryu and mighty ruler.
Who's a good Dragunov player to watch and learn a bit from? I'm digging the character but I keep fricking up on neutral with him when someone manages to keep me off of them and getting whiff punished.
I started playing Nina, she's more fun than I've been expecting even though I've been winning exclusively out of whiff punishing tards with b1+4 and occasionally mashing 1 over and over again till they duck and eat shit (df2)
Also boobies awooga
How do you suppress the urge to kill the motherfricker that beats you? Like I really want to find where this fricker lives and just tear his head off FUUUUUUCCCKKKKK YOUUUUU
This is the first fighting game I'm getting into, and it's fricking great. However, playing with the regular Xbox controller is making my hands all cramped up, the dpad placement is not ideal and the face buttons seem a bit uncomfortable to press as well when doing combos. Do you have any controller recs?
I thought about one of those dpad only controllers like the 8bitdo M30. I don't really want to spend money on an arcade stick as I'm not sure i would enjoy it.
What people actually use these days to play fightan on is keyboard style button pads.
See this for example https://www.razer.com/console-controllers/razer-kitsune
However you can just get 40 bux ones online instead this 350€ shit.
Interesting, I thought the price point would be much higher for this kind of controllers. However right of the bat, I'm seeing most of these cheaper are only in AliExpress, shipped from China, or at least Amazon US. Amazon europe doesn't seem to have the same options. I'm really not interested in waiting several weeks for getting this controller. Such a pain...
I recommend the HORI Fighting Commander Octa. I liked it enough that I have an xbox and ps version. However it might be an acquired taste kind of thing, I've recced it to people who loved it and people who hated it.
I have stopped blocking all the low moves altogether, they got me, I almost quit. I hate them so much.
Now I am just going ape shit with my Steve, non-stop relentless assault, zero defense.
Won some and lost some, but I am less salty this way.
I figured it's better to just take most of the little low pokes unless you know one is coming and parry it, cause its better than eating a 90 damage mid counterhit combo
Why is Namco so averse to re-releasing Tekken games with online like Capcom does with Street Fighter?
The last Tekken re-release, not counting the shitty 50hz emulation of Tekken 2 and 3 on PlayStation, was the Tekken Tag port on PS3 right?
I'd eat up a Tekken collection in a heartbeat.
That's just shitters coping they can't throw break or duck. King is a solid character. Just know that the moment you start reaching somewhere around purple ranks you'll have players who know how to deal with King.
I fricking hate fighting king but you should play who you want anon
Only way to get good is to lose a lot and without finding your character cool, you may not be able to cope with the losses
I already have 130 hours played but I literally cant bring myself to go online........... its so pathetic I don't want to face reality. I will just learn another characters bnb combos instead.
Is lag switching a thing people still do in online games?
Was versing a guy earlier and it seemed awfully convenient that the connection would suddenly become shit whenever I hit a launcher.
tekken ball online and just playing against randoms without going searching for player lobbies. Or just to dick around while waiting for ranked matches
I got to Garyu with Lili. I think I might pick up Dragunov and make him my second.
How do I gitgud with Lili? What are some of her best combos? I'm new to Tekken and I'm

I haven't stopped playing since last week and I haven't fought a single raven
He's just that good of a ninja.
heh
Raven? I only see Killmomger hair homie #636281849382
Eddie is the one that got that hair. Raven actually managed to not end up looking like miles morales
That's Eddy dumbass
SEXO
Finally for ethernet since everyone in these threads whines about it and honestly I feel no difference. As I thought, my WiFi was already pretty good.
Wifi will always and forever be unrealiable due packet loss nature. Wired is always better.
congrats, you're now learning that Ganker will find reasons to b***h about any non-issue
nice try lazygay

Does the two sets of bars on the bottom right indicate each person's connection? Noticed the right one turning red a few times.

typical low IQ solipsistic wifi poster

Nah, Lars was ready to die for him back at Yakushima. Besides, this butthole will beat him to the punch.
be honest bros...

not impossible in season pass 2
Why not SP 1?

Man, the tekken 7 launch characters might be the weakest batch of newcomers since SC5
Jin said sorry a lot over the last six months, so he and Lars are bros for life now.
>a lot
Once*
It's honestly hilarious how desperate the game is to gloss over Jin causing all of this.
He's the hope of mankind ok???
It doesn't really gloss over it. The story acknowledges them for his development. It's just everyone in the cast treats him like it never happened.
If Miguel were here I'd like to imagine him just walking into Jin mid conversation and everyone becoming silent for a bit before he leaves and they can start talking again.
Everything about Jin was fake. The homie started WW3 and barely anyone cares.
>tfw get matched with another nigcel self insert buzz cut custom
At least tell me you're beating those lightskins.
The frick is that pic
But you stop seeing Victor once you hit red ranks. Saw like two when I was in ganryu and then stopped seeing them completely at shinryu, Tenryu and mighty ruler.
Who's a good Dragunov player to watch and learn a bit from? I'm digging the character but I keep fricking up on neutral with him when someone manages to keep me off of them and getting whiff punished.
Watch the Swedish man’s video on him I guess.
is that natty?
No. Its a gross roid body. Natty is a bit leaner and less grotesque looking.
Is it just me or do perfects feel really common in Tekken 8?
Thinking of switching to Jin for that Drake look.
I started playing Nina, she's more fun than I've been expecting even though I've been winning exclusively out of whiff punishing tards with b1+4 and occasionally mashing 1 over and over again till they duck and eat shit (df2)
Also boobies awooga
I find Nina to be very difficult to play. I always hit a wall with her.
What's your problem bro
Nina is used goods though
Boobs are a plus I don't care about the rest
>alternates between shining wizard and giant swing
Heh, nothing personnel
For me it's hopkick and two jaguar bombs.
forsen
>moshi moshi? frick off dad
How do you suppress the urge to kill the motherfricker that beats you? Like I really want to find where this fricker lives and just tear his head off FUUUUUUCCCKKKKK YOUUUUU
By not being a moron under shinryu with less emotional stability than the actual Black folk and asiatics who play this game.
why dont they just include tekken 3 with the same online system as an easter egg
This is the first fighting game I'm getting into, and it's fricking great. Not him, but does it have normal shoulder buttons?
Looks neat, but my muscle memory is too used to them...
>play Yoshi
>do a lot of frickery like b2+3 and then sway back
>do a lot of flips and other nonsense
>opponent immediately leaves after the first set
>play Yoshi
have a nice day
This game has way too many quitters on ranked, shit pisses me off
you're not owed a rematch
just don't be a b***h
Are any of Yoshi's dragonfly stance transitions plus in 8, I swear to god I got fricked over by trying to jab him out of it here
>play against yoshi
>watch his bullshit for a while and then just kick his ass
>no rematch
I have stopped blocking all the low moves altogether, they got me, I almost quit. I hate them so much.
Now I am just going ape shit with my Steve, non-stop relentless assault, zero defense.
Won some and lost some, but I am less salty this way.
Some characters have bullshit lows
Like bryan
I figured it's better to just take most of the little low pokes unless you know one is coming and parry it, cause its better than eating a 90 damage mid counterhit combo

>wants to play something from 25 years ago
I want to learn King but everyone says people who use him are Shitters
That's just shitters coping they can't throw break or duck. King is a solid character. Just know that the moment you start reaching somewhere around purple ranks you'll have players who know how to deal with King.

Surely the army of Reina simps can stop an intermediate player new to Tekken?
jun is op
more than victor even
>Wanted to play Jun, because I think playing a fighting miko is great. (Her alt outfit)
>Now I'm a fraud
I didn't asked for this...
Victor isn’t even op, he’s just a scrub killer.
How come the devs never fixed the bug from Tekken 7 where hitting a rage art causes connection errors?
I already have 130 hours played but I literally cant bring myself to go online........... its so pathetic I don't want to face reality. I will just learn another characters bnb combos instead.
Unironically have a nice day.
I used to be terrified of online in other fighters before for some reason but you get used to it. Start with quick match.
just go online bro whats the worst that will happen? you're not going to bring shame to your family
>whats the worst that will happen?
Low rank which I won't be able to escape when I increase my skills.
why wont you escape it when you increase your skills?
Is lag switching a thing people still do in online games?
Was versing a guy earlier and it seemed awfully convenient that the connection would suddenly become shit whenever I hit a launcher.
What's the point of the lounge?
ripping SF off
tekken ball online and just playing against randoms without going searching for player lobbies. Or just to dick around while waiting for ranked matches
i guess chatting between matches with others and quick switching between ranked and quick matches?
other than that, it really serves no purpose
they should have put tournaments and the tekken bowling minigame
so you can play bowling while spectating
>play against middle eastern player
>its either victor or devil jins
Jesus, all these frickers do is go for the most broken characters huh?
