This game is a turd covered in flashy colors and nice graphics. There's nothing enjoyable about the mash-heavy and bloated gameplay. It's Tekken 7 on steroids and that game was already obnoxious to deal with. It's not very hard. Up goes into the screen, down goes out of the screen. Tekken only uses four buttons. I usually play with two macros as well.

You will have to relearn a lot but as long as you treat it as a learning experience it shouldn't be like, extremely brutal or anyhting.
The actual 3D part of 3D games is not the hard part coming from 2D, it's the different paradigm around strings, reactions, frame data/spacing, while unlearning many 2D staples like jumping, special cancels and (the 2D style of) stagger pressure, street fighter style footsies/whiff punishing and meter management aspects.

I think that strings, reactions, spacing and even movement to an extent will come naturally to a new Tekken player who already has experience with 2D games. The thing that personally tripped me up the most when learning Tekken after coming from Street Fighter and Darkstalkers was how blocking worked and how "while rising" worked.

Halo infinite for all its bullshit, contains its base campaign with no access multiplayer(greyed out), most old re games you buy from GameStop(ps4 versions of RE5/6/4) have said game. But yeah, a lot of devs and companies opt to use it more like a code on steam, indicating that you have permission to download the rest of the title. Fallout 76 came under fire when it shipped with no blu-Ray, just a cardboard disc with a code. They cut out blu-ray which was smart but a lot of console heads(not me) were upset at the grim truth they’ve ignored for years at that point

You insert the disc and it starts downloading 100% of the game to your hard drive. The disc has to be inserted anytime you want to play as a license key despite that 100% of the game is installed digitally on your system. It's a joke.

There's a Heat gauge. Which is a super meter that you get fully full at the start of every round. It can be activated at any time and gives lots of buffs. But it also gives a super move. So every character has a free super move at the start of every round?
AND when a player is down to 20% health you have a Rage super move too? How the frick is this balanced? This seems like overkill. Won't it just be a spam of super moves every round? If you're going to die you'll throw out your heat gauge and rage gauge. That's 4 super moves that 2 players could do in one single round.
It's not a super move and heat goes away in two fricking moves you frogposting homosexual, take off the frog and maybe your IQ will improve to a point where you understand basic shit
You literally can activate essentially a lite super move with every heat that does 30-40% damage.
Heat isn't a super. It's more V-Trigger from SFV but without the comeback element.

I looked up the move list in the demo and theyre called "Heat Smashes" little unique moves for each character that does like 25% damage. Basically mini supers. The camera even goes cinematic for them like Rage/Ultras. So frick you.
They're really just combo finishers to let you finish heat a little early. They do 20% raw but a lot less in practice with combo scaling and you'll probably never do them raw (the way you could a super). It's just different in functionality.
The camera zooms on them but in the same way the camera zooms for most big hits in the game.
The heat system is new, it seems pretty fricked, it's my one major concern about T8

No. Entering Heat also heals you, and chip damages a lot, which means you can be strategic about when to enter heat mode.
You can decide that based on: Tendencies of your opponent, if you want to make a comeback, etc.
Sometimes entering heat happens while you're using basic strings, if you want to.
All in all, there are options to deal with this.
And the buffed moves and super moves give up the meter more quickly as well.
If you do a super heat move (heat smash), you basically give up your heat meter, and these are attacks that can always be blocked.

I'm an MK fan and how did they possibly drop the ball so hard? The community is starting to call MK the CoD of fighting games and I'm starting to really see it. Mk1 looks amazing graphically and the gameplay isn't that bad but frick they just don't care about longevity. No rooms, barebones training mode, shitty single player content, no crossplay, disconnects up the ass. Then Tekken 8 comes out here with tons of content right off launch. And these training tools are crazy, literally raising the bar. The ghost system is fricking awesome being able to create ghosts off your friends or off high level players and fight them infinitely. The fact that you can watch replays and actually jump into the replays yourself and play out the moment to figure out a counter to something or see how you get hit. The large fricking roster, the jukebox system letting you change the music and stuff. NRS just doesn't care about catering to the old fans

Just play as him and hit practice mode occasionally. Don't sweat your actual rank in ranked mode and just look at ranked as a way to match you against people who are gonna give you a reasonable challenge at least half of the time.

It is just a unique stage in the Story Mode to convey the huge brawl against G-Corp, it is not a mode, at least not yet, which I hope they make it as one in a future update, it is pretty much a groundwork for a new Tekken Force mode.

I think the issue is just Street Fighter never learned how to translate cartoony into 3D and adding more realism and detail just makes shit weird. V is probably the closest they got to making it work but still had the issue of some characters looking like clay with weird faces. Like Ken and Ibuki vs Chun Li and Cody seems like night and day.

Every (genuinely new) fighting game has a moronic and terrible initial meta. Capcom thought they were immune to this for some reason and could just have a full year without balance changes like the old days because they haven't release an a fighting game that wasn't an abomination in over a decade.
Just my opinion but I'm betting they're waiting until the S1 dlc comes out then a patch just to see how everyone does.

They were. Look at Angrybird's initial tier lists and compare with the latest one. Chun-Li is now being considered one of the best characters in the game, Lily is decent, Honda is the worst character in the game and so on. No patch happened.

For a long while Luke was severely underrated, where people thought he was top 5. Now there are people arguing for Luke being top 1 or 2. So even that changed. Ken is still ridiculous, but it turns out other characters are even more ridiculous. Remember Cammy dealing no damage? Remember Manon needing nerfs to her medal system? Remember when Rashid came out and people thought he was low tier?
