offence is pretty easy to learn in tekken. you can condense any character down to like 10-20 good moves (your best low, your armoured move, fast mid pressure, your CH launchers, long pokes, and then 10f-20f punishes), a couple of mixup strings, and like 2 combo routes plus a wall combo. tekken has a massive input buffer and unless you are optimizing the most ridiculous fricking combo for 73 damage instead of 70 damage, that's not what you will be grinding.
unfortunately defence is the complete opposite and its not really something you can learn from a guide. movement is muscle memory you gotta drill, whilst you will have to just get hit by bullshit hi/lo/mid strings for hundreds of hours, eat hellsweeps, and discover legacy info like "haha just sidestep left this one particular poke bro" like you are digging up forbidden arcane knowledge - and you either deal with it for long enough to overcome it or quit in frustration.
