It's wild how much work they put into Valhalla while doing nothing to make it inspiring. >Yeah, let's make an entire New World area >We got Indians, new flora and fauna, new characters >what should we do with it? >the same shit you did in the other 20 areas! collect resources and kill a guy >also stack some rocks, fuccboi
Spectacular.
Is the combat improved in any way from Origins? I don't know why but I'm forcing myself to play it now and it's just awful, clunky, floaty, buggy and overall janky
No. You're better off playing Titan Quest than this. Or God of War even. Odyssey is a slog and GRINDY. And once you complete a zone, you completed them all. Everything will feel the same and you'll run through a checklist.
People would endlessly jerk it off like they do the witcher and zelda. Such a shame that a game like this was put into ubisoft's gand instead of a studio who actually is a little bit more capable.
I really love the setting, but after completing the Athens section I gave it up. I was mostly in it to see some of the cities, I never even saw the higher leveled areas, like the Peloponnese, nothing past Attica really. The story seemed horrible, but the biggest problem is the gameplay was more annoying than anything. Though fun in it's own ways. I might go back to it one day.
Odyssey is so much better than Origins. The only downside to Odyssey was the filler context tripled, but everything else is more refined. I never thought i would find Egypt to be boring, but Ubisoft somehow did it. Greece is more fun to explore.
>One of the few AAA RPGs where your decisions really matter >Its in an assassins creed game where the fricking point is that you are reliving some dudes memories so this shouldnt even bee possible
This just soured the whole experience for me
Don't worry anon, you can read the canon novel which tells you precisely what choices Kassandra canonically made! Which defeats the entire point of offering choices to begin with!
>One of the few AAA RPGs where your decisions really matter
>You dare accuse a king of treason without proof?! You are now banished from Sparta! >Oh you killed our king and somehow got proof of his treason? Welcome home brother
I enjoyed how pretty the environments and various islands in the east are, Ubisoft games are so unfun to play but their environments are something else
I kinds have to agree. They honestly should have made odyssey it's own IP instead of slapping Assassins creed on it because it has little to do with the story at hand, it doesn't even explain the origins of the conflict because the Order of the Ancients had been in operation for hundreds of years by that point
This game mogs Valhalla so hard it's not even funny

Valhalla is a legit schizocore game. It really feels like two teams with wildly different goals and philosophies worked hand in hand on it.
>It really feels like two teams with wildly different goals and philosophies worked hand in hand on it
Yeah wonder why
I liked diving in clear blue water.

still the same with MMO like Origins
Yeah, it's a step up from Origins in just about every single way.
The decision to copy the witcher 3's shtick but in greece was probably one of the best ideas ubisoft has had since the original asscreed.
It got me to play the game for a whole 5 hours before dropping it forever at least.
No
was thinking about playing this because i like greek-rome lore.
The last AC I played was black flag and i enjoyed. Is this similar?
came here to post this exactly. is it worth it for a Greek/Roman enthusiast who hasn't played AC since black flag?
No. You're better off playing Titan Quest than this. Or God of War even. Odyssey is a slog and GRINDY. And once you complete a zone, you completed them all. Everything will feel the same and you'll run through a checklist.
tldr it's a single player MMO
Something about the way that the visuals are AAA but the Witcher-esque dialogue system is AA gives the game a surreal eurojank feel.
I've never cared about Assassins Creed because it's just console slop, but this game was fricking amazing
If every side quest wasn't the same the game would be actually good

Kassy is happy with Kassy threads.
I enjoyed cutting off her head.
Does it have daily quests? What are those blue stones you get with some quests?
There is no reason to play this game now that the nude mods are broken.
Why are the nude mods broken?
I guess there just wasn't enough interest in keeping them updated.

no, it's a terrible game all around

Gave it a second shot yesterday and i finally got into it.
Its really just diet witcher 3 with slightly better combat, slightly worse writing and black flags ship combat.
Its pretty ok compared to usual ubitrash

That's not really an issue.
If you dont find that an issue the you have npc taste
lol no

To this day I never found that giant statue tat you can pass under by horse

Only filthy americans like nu-AC. We don't like them here in Africa
>game set in ancient greece
>protagonist hasn't seen their mother or sibling since they were a child
>doesn't accidentally frick/marry them
Shit game
