Literally every other map in the game you don't even need arrows. Run out of the spawn room shutter, follow the hallway that is the level, and you're at the point. Works for literally every level except for steel, which just encourages you to play like that, which is in turn how people get lost in steel.
People who get filtered by Steel don't deserve basic human rights. There has to be a lower point of intelligence where we can say "Dude you don't count." and make them a server caste or something
This is me as well. The signs don't help that much if you have no idea about the general layout of the map, and iirc it still has doors that close off routes depending on which points are capped so the signs might be pointing to a dead end.
moronic algorithm that thinks 50% win rate is a goal, not an outcome. Same problem every other game with matchmaking has. It loads one team with good players for a match and then loads the other team with good players for the next match, sees 1-1 wins and thinks "mission accomplished".
You're marginally more likely to get people to dump way more of their time in, even knowing that the matchmaking is stacked against them because you bait them with a good game.
Tf2 matchmaking has no such thing like SBMM or EBMM it just throws anyone into any server
Tf2 is 16 years old. Players have been playing it since launch. The skill discrepancy is completely out of wack across it's entire playerbase.
I’d rather be on my way to the million-dollar Artifact tournament Valve promised.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
There's a new one-way gate at A to help protect RED from getting locked out of A. You can do a funny jump where the gate launches you to the cliff/wall as it closes.
The area between B and BLU's spawn was reworked to make it much easier for B to leave their spawn.
A lot of minor areas got widened out to make them less cramped to fight in / make spam weaker.
There are other changes. Critically, there are now two breakable barrels at A instead of one.
I love Steel
Ah yes, the map that filters brainlets who somehow get lost traversing 3D spaces.
I can't fault people for getting lost in steel when literally every single other map in the game is a straight hallway.
There are gigantic arrows that show you exactly where to go.

>Ah yes
Go back.

>tfw you actually manage to cap E before capping any other points
>red team gets lost and never gets to E in time
the only reason I don't know my way around it is because I never play it, just like many tf2 maps.
one of the reasons I don't play a new homosexual shooter, you can't even select your maps.

Steel is the 2nd best map in TF2 and Demoman is the best class.
What’s the best map?
Hoodoo
most tf2 players get lost on 5cp, let alone something like Steel.
Honest to god fricking morons.
>y'all reddit?
wtf... why the engineer say this?
GOTTAAA MOVE THAT GEAR UP!
Gotta get back to work
Why is every single match I find through matchmaking a complete stomp?
moronic algorithm that thinks 50% win rate is a goal, not an outcome. Same problem every other game with matchmaking has. It loads one team with good players for a match and then loads the other team with good players for the next match, sees 1-1 wins and thinks "mission accomplished".
>punishing players for working to be decent at a game
I'll never understand this, genuinely.
You're marginally more likely to get people to dump way more of their time in, even knowing that the matchmaking is stacked against them because you bait them with a good game.
I'm confident that tf2 matchmaking does not give a frick about player skill or rank or anything.

I genuinely forgot Artifact even existed until you just mentioned it.
My favorite map. I heard it got changed recently, that true? Don't tell me they pulled another hydro.

God I hate steel, junction, and swiftwater
Junction is the actual worst map in the game, but Steel is great and Swiftwater is pretty average and I don't get why you'd hate it.
Steel looks like shit and plays like shit. Swiftwater because of sniper mains, but it's not that bad tbh. Would rather play badwater
Steel plays great and looks like literally every other map with the desert palette.
Did.. 50v50 servers stick around or nah?
yea
it's not a limited thing, 32 player max servers are a thing of the past now
You know what's a dogshit map?
Process
I like it well enough
Soldier main?
Soldier, pyro, demo
Exactly.
Doesn't seem like a bad map for any other class though, except maybe engie since there's not a lot of great turret spots I can think of.
How I feel knowing I'm a Gravel Pit chad.
DONT STEEL MY SEEL
>Engie sets up sentry on E and scout starts capping
>entire red team turns 360 degrees and immediately surrenders A
