Its more of a video game then 4 and 5. you easily spend far more time in tartarus then 5 dungeons which you can just quickly run though in a single hour-2 hour sesson and then proceed to not worry about them for another 10 hours of visual novel stuff

I stopped because I already knew the ending so there was no reason to continue. Going through the same boring dungeon the entire game was painful. The game didn’t get a significant difficulty spike in January so I don’t know what you’re implying. This is the same game where you can randomly open a chest and get 100,000 yen.

Anon I was literally at Nyx’s doorstep. I’ve seen the memes about that fight and even if that is the hardest boss fight in the history of fiction it STILL wouldn’t make P3 a hard game.
its nyx and literally almost every single fricking tartrus boss for persona 3 hard mode which all have extremely specific ways to beat them.
you fricking idiot the only easy fights in 3 is the main story bosses outside of nyx. i play a frickton of smt games and smt2, smt4, and persona 3 are easily the hardest games in the series. without any savestates, on vanilla persona 3 its extremely possible to play for 2 hours. get into a random encounter and be 1 turned with zero counterplay before you can even go or lose simply because the ai chose wrong making you lose all of that progress.

so much easier said then done. you can equip a sigma drive to try an offset being 1 turned critical to death but at the end of the day the mc is just incredibly squishy for most of the game. you always feel like you have 100 hp less then you do and every single time the enemy gets first turn which is very possible since the speed it takes to swing 2 hand weapons is sooooo goddamn slow and 1 hand weapons only kinda godamn slow is a possible chance to lose hours of progress with zero counterplay

Seriously, P3P lets you go back and heal every floor, party members take lethal hits for you constantly, randomly endure, and randomly do follow-up attacks, you still get one-more's even if you miss an enemy with an aoe attack, knocked down enemies stay down when hit, and a bunch of other shit.
It's because no one would buy it if they showed off the VN style
Atlus knows they didn't port FES so they keep 3 lowkey in the announcement.
