I'm not 16 anymore and it's not 2010 anymore so I haven't played a trashmo in forever.
Swtor
I'm not even asking for much, but... 1 hour story updates twice per year and little else besides season passes with ugly outfits? Jesus Christ. Just take it offline already.
If you play any MMO in 2023 you need to be rounded up and gassed.
almost everyone who says this shit reinstalls WoW each 6 months like clockwork
you aren't fooling anyone except yourselves
I haven't touched any MMO since 2019. That was Warframe. I have never played WoW.
Warframe isn't an mmo you dumb Black person. I'm surprised that shit lasted for so long though, I recall beta testing it in 2012 and deeming it shit.
>wasting time on MMO
>bad!
>wasting time on MOBA
>good!
I hate zoomers so much
both are equally garbage
When did I say MOBAs were better? Stupid idiot c**t.
It slowly improved but they started bloating it up with shit content. Now that Dave or whatever his name is is gone hopefully they fix the game. Not that I ever plan on going back to it.
Well it should.
When throughout history has that ever happened? It's not going to all of a sudden happen for a game genre
osrs
don't care, still playing it
Runescape
I started playing in 2005
Stopped in 2020 because I did all the content that mattered
Frick Jagex for turning it into a child groomer game
WoW 15 years ago
Dropped EverQuest like 18 years ago my man.
GW2. It's a flawed as frick game, but I loved that Anet was always trying to do something a bit different with each expac. Once Icebrood Saga got shit canned and EoD and now SOTO came out, I have lost interest in all of it. I still enjoy WvW mostly and I still like the core game, but the half assed wizards vault is killing my interest in playing that now. Fricking dailies, weeklies, specials plus wvw weeklies take so much time (not to mention the old dailies that I don't do anymore thank god). Trouble is, the wizards vault has nice stuff on it so I want them. Since EoD came out I kept hoping it would get better for me, but it hasn't. The game is doing better than ever from what I can tell, but not for me
eso still pretty god tier for me, better voice acting in 2 minutes of a random side quest than all of 100+ hours of cyberpunk
still a fan still hyped for next expansion. still 100x better than ffxiv and wow. wow they literally trying to add ai voices to read quest text lol. I would make a few changes like remove class system and go full freedom with building characters. but that's what I'd prefer and it'd be more like elder scrolls and less generic sell you classes every 3 years bullshit I'm literally never rerolling
Sell me on this game. I bought it at release and played it for about 20 hours before giving it up entirely. The Skyrim UI and combat pissed me off the most, but has it gotten any better?
no? go form your own opinion its literally f2p
>better voice acting in 2 minutes of a random side quest than all of 100+ hours of cyberpunk
Replaying the game is such a pain in the ass during the cut scenes you can't skip.
I'm sorry OP. At least life can only get better now
After so many years on and off again with friends on ffxi I haven’t given a shit since 2016. Rhapsodies was good but I’m not gonna pretend I wanna do ambuscade or omen all day
>they still sub my account and use it due to all the work we put in to this day
wild how some are in it forever
>used to play MMO with mom
>still talk about the game once in a while
She already accepts that it's dead, but I still replay it once every 6-7 years.
Black Desert.
I really hate that asiatics make so good base games with awesome combat and visual, then ruin them all with every update.
Adventure quest worlds
Lotro keeps getting better, they even added landscape difficulty changing and a new expansion with a fun class
I think FF14 is going to be a case of diminishing returns from here on out. Shadowbringers was peak and even though Endwalker had moron hype, it was a fricking wasteland.
Any Everquest bros still playing that? That game is still getting expansions yearly.
Pretty sure EW had way higher player count than shb
Wasteland referred to playable content, but yeah it did have a massive boost in players.
>Shadowbringers was peak
Let me guess.... you started to play during the Asmon craze?
Nope. Been playing since the 3.x patches, off and on. It's true that there's frickall to do even in some of the older expacs if you aren't a hardcore raider, but SB/SHB had Eureka and Bozja which was pretty fricking cool mid-tier stuff to play that lasted weeks.
Yeah and SB was the peak, ShB was when the game seriously started going downhill with the gameplay and job balancing.
I didn't follow job balancing or a lot of the classes until ShB so a lot of the immediate stuff is lost on me, but I do vividly remember having to level Arcanist just to get White Mage. Ripping that kind of stuff out is helpful for morons, but morons also won't stick around very long.
It's basically their homogenized every job and removed all the fun uniqueness and quirks the jobs had that made them feel special.
2022 was the year that I dropped everything involving PvP and multiplayer interactions titles for once and all, I was not playing exclusive PvP games since 2019 but last year I finally dropped WoW, now I have more sweets moments with my elderly mother at night (where I was raiding), go visit her in some days and instead of getting worried during job/sleep about people missing the raid or raid duties now I'm sleeping better, being more useful at job and even lost 20 kgs so far with a better health style, next year will be starting a gym to actually get on good form.
Yeah some will say that most of those things were not related to MMO, but the problem is that I take any duty designed to me very seriously, and being a Officer/Shot caller on the raid was stressful.
Good on you for getting on with your life, anon. I hope your mum appreciates and enjoys the time you two spend together, and that you keep up the good habits.
LOTRO around 12 years ago. I still log in from time to time, but it's purely for nostalgia at this point.
>sunk so much of your heart and soul into
More like sunk your time & health into it
Last MMO I played was a game called Earth & Beyond and I remember next to nothing about it. Had to have been close to 15 years ago. Haven't touched an MMO since then. Not a good genre, especially in the social media era.
>MMO
>isn't going to get better
fricking lmao, all of them? Are you from 2013?
Do you think ANY dev making a MMO is like "this person is going to enjoy this game, and he's going to grow as a human being, by being exposed to this"? Frick no, they see you as a borderline moronic autistic sack of shit/money to finance their success.
if you were actually passionate about the game you were playing, you would set a private server for your game and let others play as well
