Good, mobile gamers are scum. They are to blame for MTX, shitty fonts, drip-feeding, and gacha. Frick mobile gamers.
Horse armor was but a herald. Mobile gamers, many of whom do not know proper gaming practices, were the catalyst. Everything wrong with mobile games is their "normal".
Also, the first game was supposed to be a base for modules a-la NWN, one of which would have been DF. But the modding never took off the ground because of Unity and lack of instruments IIRC. It appears that for modders, 3D backgrounds are actually more preferable than 2D ones.
I just want an open game like the Genesis game in which you build up reputation to get contracted for more complex and dangerous runs as you gain notoriety through your shadowruns. I didn't like how restrictive Dragonfall was.
>in which you build up reputation to get contracted for more complex and dangerous runs as you gain notoriety through your shadowruns. I didn't like how restrictive Dragonfall was.
That would work better as a strategy game, with you being the fixer, than as an RPG.
>perfectly fine the way it is >no voiced dialogue >no cinematic dialogue >no animated cutscenes >no romance >combat sucks
Ummm boomerbro, BG3 came out half a year ago, the bar has been raised.
Of all the things in need of fixing in a potential remake, that's not it.
The dialogue, RPG elements and interactions are all very shallow and is the things that would need fleshing out. Not shit like romace or cutscenes.
>no romance
Thank god. Any game with romance routes is outing itself as having shit writing that tries to pander to lonely and horny people to overlook its shortcomings.
>he doesn't realize that the Glory story arc is a romance with someone who is actually damaged in a genuine matter, instead of a "fix all her problems at 90 relationship points"
She got the best ending in a positive playthrough and she forms a bond that's... like the fact that she regains a tiny bit of her magic shows that you've literally brought a big chunk of her soul back. That's the kind of romance that can't be properly expressed in an "I love you" or something. It doesn't need to be said because it's like, intrinsic now.
Glory doesn't need a lover, she needs a team of moron wranglers because it's very clear that the spirit will not be enough to slow her dumb ass down. And I'm still mad that the writers never allow you to tell her that at the end of the game.
It's buggy as frick and the sequel they put out a year later had a plethora of improvements. When they put out the console release in 2022, I was hoping they'd of at least put the other two on the Hong Kong engine and was very disappointed.
Cyberpunk 2020 was "Effectively dead" according to many people, but we went from having a few people to having less than half of that when they decided to release a shitty half baked game, with a accompanying shitty sequel.

You absolute sozzle.
the original campaign had a HK port
Wait really? Did it add in a static party? Or is it just the original campaign made in HKs mod editor?

>Dead Man Switch - Vox Populi
I had no idea this was a thing. Thanks, anon.
Who?
might be one of the dragonfall characters anon
Glory
They should make a new game and port the entire trilogy into the new game as modules.
Because they finally gave up on the idea of tablet accessibility with HK. Hence the changes in UI and other shit.

I'm more annoyed we're not getting good RPGs set in interesting settings.
Who owns the rights/license for Shadowrun vidya now? Last time I checked it was Microsoft
I believe Microsoft has rights to make console games but not PC games, IIRC. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm no sure how that works.

It worked fine in the Genesis game when you're a runner.
>respected game barely 10 yrs old
>perfectly fine the way it is
>REEEE WHERE'S THE REMAKE????
zoomers need to die
>perfectly fine the way it is

ok now i know this is bait. Take your (You) and have a nice day with it

How do you do that? Power through the gate with willpower so you don't have to kill Marta?
I don't remember at this point, but I think it was purify the spirit and save the kids?
You don't restore her soul iirc, a spirit decides to live inside her, it's actually using the magic
Glory doesn't need a lover, she needs a team of moron wranglers because it's very clear that the spirit will not be enough to slow her dumb ass down. And I'm still mad that the writers never allow you to tell her that at the end of the game.
>>no romance
That's a good thing.
sucks
What's the closest online equivalent of dangling a shiny thing in front of you?

>if you don't follow the correct ending we're gonna kill the world!
Just don't kill the dragon you were told not to kill bro.
>with the improvements from hong kong
>improvements
no, frick off
I mean, HK finally remembered Shamans can conjure spirits by having hotspots reliably present on maps.
HK was a text slog. I hope there's a fan edit where they trim down like half of that purple prose shit, literally killed me from finishing the game
Maybe try playing something more your speed, like Elmo teaches ABC.
Extensive amounts of reading doesn't make a RPG.
But functional illiteracy prevents one from enjoying them.
What I want is a new game wih the gameplay improvements from Shadowrun (Genesis, 1994)
>Remakes
They already ruined cyberpunk. At least let me keep Shadowrun. It's one of the two tabletops I've got left that didn't get a pozzed reboot.
Shadowrun is effectively dead. 6E was so bad everyone collectively pretends it doesn't exist.
Cyberpunk 2020 was "Effectively dead" according to many people, but we went from having a few people to having less than half of that when they decided to release a shitty half baked game, with a accompanying shitty sequel.
Make no mistake, Cyberpunk RED was driven entirely by CP77's existence.
Kek'd at picrel. Thanks for making me laugh today, anon.
>Tabletop is kill
>Vidya is kill
How do we save Shadowrun?
