Was the choice of not making the final bosses of GTI and SMD not being Pokemon a mistake? Personally, I find them less memorable as just being some random, infectious manifestation of darkness.
I think it was a mistake to do it twice, rather than a one-off thing. It was a fresh change of pace to have a final boss being some entity that's a threat to the world rather than another evil legendary. The problem is that they did it again, same goals and all, but gave it generic evil dialogue.

PSMD was a great game and a good note to end on all things considered, but frick, man, ever since they missed gen 7 and lost momentum, generations just keep piling up and the chance of a new non-remake game gets lower each time. it fricking sucks that I'll never be able to play with nugen bros like popplio and scorbunny
the bittercold was a great and unique final boss even by the standards of the greater franchise, I'd say it was a very good idea at the time. dark matter wasn't terrible by itself but after the bittercold it just seems like a boring rehash
Tree of Life/Dark Matter ending was fun
Connection Orb felt overpowered, but it was restricted during story events so I didn’t mind

they won't make a new dungeon game anytime soon because that might require old pokemon and gamefreak is so incompetent when it comes to anything pre-gen 7.

the anon called me a moron because I said gamefreak would not make a good mystery dungeon game when spike chunsoft made super mystery dungeon. I don't think that the pokemon company will reach out spike chunsoft because if they do and spike makes models for any pokemon that aren't in the scarlet and violet games, that will show that pokemon company/gamefreak are incompetent and that it can be done but that they are lazy don't want to
Didn't RTDX just use retextured versions of the stock models

if it is gonna come out for the switch, I doubt they'll rip it from the 3ds considering how different they might be processing wise. and if they do, it'll doubly prove my point.

The switch mainline games use the same models they were using on the 3DS, and RTDX is a switch game

They killed PMD because it tarnished Taijiri's vision by letting Pokemon speak. Pokemon is supposed to be about humans. Pokemon are only supposed to be animal pets, Taijiri said so.
Genuine shame we don’t have a spinoff game where you fight a Gigantamax Pokemon. Why make them if you’re just going to have them be wasted on football stadiums?

They should just tack on every starter in the Explorers remake for the hell of it. I know this will bloat up the selection, but screw it.

bittercold was fine, doing the exact same thing again in the next game was not.

I liked it. But I'll agree the Recruitment system was moronic and it was stupid how they could just be randomly unavailable.
