Never met anyone who played "Payday" at all or even mentioned it. It's one of those games that *apparently* are popular somewhere else. Or were popular at least.
Who knew that when you make a sequel to a game that was well received when the original talent that made that game in the first place moved on, it would result in a dumpsterfire?
I could've never guessed! Why is it failing?
1 and 2 were good, but 2 had issues showing very early on because of the exorbitant amount of DLC they kept releasing over, and over, and over, and over again, resulting in it going from moderately popular to niche shit game.
I don't like Payday. The heists are way too long and chaotic, which isn't realistic. Would have been more fun if you had to rob a bank as fast as possible, haul loot to your car, and then speed off as cops chase you.
they designed the game too linearly for some maps in 2 and it was even more glaring of an issue in 3. but if i can recall this was possible to do for some maps like harvest trust etc.
Devs fricked up by not having servers stable from the get go and the leveling system is stupid. Game is still fun though, I don't think I can go back to 2 as 3's gunplay and stealth mechanics are much better.
All the hype led to it being in the top 10 for a while after launch, but it was also on game pass. It's a shame it couldn't retain its playerbase, but I will admit it is not a great game
>3 adds nothing of value over 2 >requires a constant Internet connection even for single player and uses a janky service no other game uses that goes down every other day >costs twice as much >requires a supercomputer to run but doesn't look much better graphically
Why would you ever go for 3 over 2
I dont even get what people found in previous games - we got P2 with a friend, booted some follow car/escort guy mission, then proceeded to fricking massacre 300+ cops while slogging through city streets. Is this some Vermentide ripoff?
Is it salvageable like Remnant from the Ashes? Or is it the next Killing Floor 2?
initial impressions are everything
its over
i havent heard anyone talk about this game since someone posted the Tekken creator tweeting about it like a year ago
it will jump up again when content is vomitted out
same with Darkietide

>population is already at cod cold war levels on Xbox
It's over
Is this shit even popular in the first place on consoles? I'd be surprised.
All the hype led to it being in the top 10 for a while after launch, but it was also on game pass. It's a shame it couldn't retain its playerbase, but I will admit it is not a great game
Little did they know I actually played Payday 2 and already knew how fricking bad these games were
Payday 2 isn't bad by any means it just has dlc bloat
>Payday 2 isn't bad by any means
top kek
Not an argument
Obvious samegay
no lol
have a nice day samegay
>Payday 2 isn't bad
lol
Is it just me or does overkill seem nearly impossible on loud? You get fricked up quick even when utilizing cover well.
the game died the second they added eceleb characters
I know a guy who got into payday 2 after payday 3 released, didn't go for the newer one instead

I am so pleased about this. I love Payday 2 and everything about 3 is worse. Couldn't happen to a better company.
worse than darktide somehow
well at least you could play that
