>Thank you for installing Windows 12!
>I'm afraid I've detected objectionable content in this game, I'm sorry Anon but I won't be able to boot that
Umm... Windowsbros what do we do now? Seems this could be a reality for us soon.

When this happens suddenly Linux will actually be get a good release
If no one makes something better than AtlasOS yeah
>Linux will actually be get a good release
we should make a linux distro that encompasses/unites ALL distros!
We're already seeing gaming distros, Steam OS is just the most prominent one.
Yeah I agree. I believe SteamOS would be the replacement of Windows in the future, so it would be the de facto standard for the whole stakeholders.
>Yeah I agree. I believe SteamOS would be the replacement of Windows in the future, so it would be the de facto standard for the whole stakeholders.
If wangblows 12 forces people to change over to SteamOS in droves you can bet valve will develop it even more than they have. They started developing it as a hedge against things like the windows store in the first place, these moves probably make it even more important to them. How did the rejection of Cortana teach these fricking morons nothing?
>They started developing it as a hedge against things like the windows store in the first place, these moves probably make it even more important to them
Yet they still turned Steam client into Chromium pozzware.
it's not a hedge. this is what will happen.
>it's not a hedge. this is what will happen.
Microsoft forcing valve into the OS Business would be pretty hilarious.
I think everyone forgets that Valve has non-gaming software already available for sale on Steam, mostly developer tool software or random shit like wallpaper engine or displayfusion. If they quietly provided support for those and made them work on linux smoothly they would have a stable foundation for non-gaming purposes.
they already did
just valve is too lazy to tell people to frick off nvidia and buy amd
to have a functional desktop steam-os
>distro that encompasses/unites ALL distros!
Thats called bedrock linux, anon
>will actually be get a good release
HELLOW SIRS
beget is a nice word though
30 years and Linux is still shit.
I really really want a Windows competitor but Linux is made for elitetist pricks who just want to feel smart.
or it's the exact opposite

>I'm sorry, Anon. I'm afraid I can't do that.
it's almost like life is telling you to stop playing with your childhood toys of 30 years ago and live a little before we all die horribly
No, it's the israelites telling me that, I refuse
I will learn Japanese and use virtual machines with older windows installations to play older games and there is nothing that those big nosed wingless devils can do to stop me
Yes, goy, subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion pass to play "your" N64 games!
>die horribly
Explain.
Another 2012?
Might be talking about the climate collapsing in 10 to 15 years.
No, I’m pretty sure it’s israelites telling you that.
>live a little
>NO NOT LIKE THAT!
>live a little
No. I never asked for it.
You know people play these games because they’re enjoyable right
Doesn't this already happen? I had to fully remove Windows Defender from my PC to unzip a cracked game, because otherwise it would fail, file would be gone, and nowhere to be seen in history.
Took like 4 tries and had to massively gimp my OS. So can't imagine once it uses AI to detect any pirated games, movies, TV shows, etc. and deletes them automatically.
Once 12 becomes the earliest release that has security support, piracy will take a massive, massive hit. 90% of the world on a OS that can't house pirated content will destroy seeding of basically everything.
this moron removed Windows Defender he wanted a Chinese trojan so bad
lol
lmao
I trusted to source and have no issues using it since. This type of attitute is enabling the exact thing I'm talking about.
If they don't want you to own a piece of media or software, they call it a virus in Windows, and now no one will defend you if you wanna keep it... çause it's like a virus from Russia or China man! You have to pay for that episode of Breaking Bad to not get a heckin' virus.
embarrassing moron
super based intellectual
>Removing Windows Defender
Are you moronic?
Has had no negative effects, I use a 3rd party anti-virus that actually asks before it does things.
WD is the default for almost every PC, so anyone releasing malicious software will make sure they can get past it to begin with, so effectively does nothing.
okay so you are moronic then
>I use a 3rd party anti-virus
moron
Bro that crack was blocked for good reason you might want to check your system32 folder
Have checked resources and network in/out and nothing is out of the ordinary. It was an old-ass game and I have used to source for years.
Everyone is so scared of not having Microsoft as a security blanket that they will control everyone's PC contents by the end of this decade... and will be thanked.
>Bro that crack was blocked for good reason
good golem
>remove Windows Def
Why?
No bombing it's to move from a proper OS to a shitty service OS. This way they can also sell more of their shitty laptops
> can remove wd
> can't find a button to turn it off
It turns itself back on after each reboot, and doesn't allow itself to ignore certain "crucial" vulnerabilities.
Annoying to do for something that provides no value and is just used to scan your whole system for telemetry data.
Please don't speak on topics you know nothing about.
Changing the group policy options isn't enough?
Not a bad option, but I feel like it makes more sense to just get rid of it entirely.
Common sense goes a long way in not getting a virus, and there are many 3rd-party options that are considered better and are much less creepy.
but you will get a virus!
>Once 12 becomes the earliest release that has security support, piracy will take a massive, massive hit. 90% of the world on a OS that can't house pirated content will destroy seeding of basically everything.
It'll last about year. After that people will come up with work arounds. Some sites already moved away from torrents and went back to sites like MegaUP 1Ficher which is less then ideal but it solves the seeding issue until they get taken down. For older stuff like game roms pre DVD era they can be stored on private servers. Never underestimate the pirate and the lengths they'll go to get stuff for free
Not to be rude, but I don't see how this is better.
Those websites impose restrictions if you don't pay for a membership, and multiple sites means multiple different subscriptions - piracy is no longer free.
Centralised sites means that content is controlled and can be deleted at a moment's notice. Private company whose ToS you (had to) agree to.
They will likely adopt the same technology as Microsoft to detect pirated content on their own servers.
Even if you were able to download it, Windows 12 would delete it.
And in future you will need a valid license or key to connect to sites, Chrone's Web3 system, so if you aren't on the latest OS with the latest security updates, no HTTPS connection for you.
Better start stocking up on HDDs and hoarding as much data as you can, then making backups of your backups.
>reddit spacing
Go back homosexual
>piracy will take a massive, massive hit.
they've been saying that for 50 years.
you'll just have to jailbreak/root windows first, and that crack will probably come days before windows even releases.
there will always be some autist somewhere that will ruin the anything; it's a statistical certainty
hahahaha how can anyone be this moronic lmaoooooo
dunno why you heckle this anon
windows defender is a meme, and so is pretty much every antivirus
just don't be a moron, it's that easy
>inb4 haha you'll get a cryptominer
don't forget to ""verify"" your honest non-butchered windows installation with a phone number
windows defender isn't bad though, it points out files that are actually suspicious or have the capability to do real harm with whats inside them and stops things from running if they're bad without being too pushy and deleting pirated content JUST BECAUSE its pirated.
That anon must have installed something fricking awful if it took that much effort, usually you can just tell windows to allow the quarantined file even if its says "severe"
I know you tried to have the dumbest fricking post in the thread so I wanted to congratulate you on accomplishing your goal.
If windows defender actually did cause harm I'd concede but it just tries to stop potentially harmful software from running, by all means microsoft could just choose to lock it into windows at all times and never let it stop running but they do allow users to control what is ok and what isn't, so I really don't understand this setthing hatred of defender.
Did you struggle to install a crack? Get a zip file deleted without backing it up? I'm confused as to why you despise it so much when it strikes a somewhat reasonable balance between being forceful for the sake of idiots opening things they shouldn't and being a little flexible for some files that by all means it should just nuke on sight.
Windows Defender gets as many false positives as anything else and regularly shits itself with banal stuff like CheatEngine or even legitimate games.
Cheat engine is a massive red flag of a program though, I can't blame it for seeing CE editing memory and telling it to die
>Cheat engine is a massive red flag of a program
LOL
>Cheat engine is a massive red flag
>a hex editor sniffing at memory is a red flag
Brain damage.
Defender has a history of nerfing legitimate executables though, there's a reason it has a bad reputation it didn't just appear out of thin air.
>without being too pushy and deleting pirated content JUST BECAUSE its pirated.
It definitely has stuff against piracy. I specifically forbid it from scanning the location where my windows activator files are, and yet every single day 24 hours on the dot, it scans them, deletes them, warns me about "malware" found, and only THEN checks the rule that says that file is off-limits, quickly restores it and edits the detection history.
Can you tell me how you set those rules
I've tried to unfrick my Mother's laptop for the same reason and the collective dozen hours I have on wangblows 10 are exclusively on that shitty laptop with her standing over me so I always put off learning how to get around windows defender without totally gutting it (she's old and moronic and actually will somehow find viruses in 2023)
Do your mother a favor and get her a modern tablet or a better laptop with linux mint in it.
What the other anon said, just put Mint on that shit.
>having windows activator files in 2023
Go to Ganker and read the /fwt/
It was probably running scans and updates. Newer windows take FOREVER to finish. Once they do it's not too bad, especially with some low-effort debloating.
I think people screeching about w11 vs w10 are actually moronic.
no, it wasn't. and yes, it's still bad.
windows 11 is windows 10 so there is nothing to say other than it's all dogshit for morons
See
I literally just finished setting up W11 for a friend who bought a $200 chink mini pc with Intel N95 chip and 16GB RAM. It doesn't get more budget than that and it was running at 2% CPU usage after updates.
What kind of shit did you do and what kind of ancient somalian toaster are you running W11 on?
it stopped you from downloading torrent cilented at one point
not sure if it's still the same since I heard installers include a fix
it feels like a raid from discord/twitter found this thread, or an autist samegayged it. Ganker always laughed at antivirus tards.
They make it annoying as frick to disable windows defender.
You could just disable the service in older windows. Now? You have to run regedit as fricking SYSTEM.
It disturbs me how the builtin Administrator is not equivalent to the Unix root account anymore and you have to use filthy hacks to take back permissions from Microsoft.
that's by design. at some point they will just remove it entirely.
You know you can add a folder to whitelist, right
>open security
>click quarantined file
>click restore
Wow so difficult.
Frick man first I laughed but that shit is scary.

so an Nvidia card?
Now do you understand why GabeN is trying to push linux via the steamdeck?
11 really fricking bombed.
remember how everyone used to tilt against "windows pattern" memes
well that would make xp/vista/7/8/10/11 an alternating "adoption->failure" pattern for real
Waiting for 12
It was the reason I finally decided to actually try Linux.
What Linux did you try? Did it work?
NTA but I moved to Nobara last year.
Everything's so big. It's weird. Anyway, I tried Linux Mint once. It was comfy as hell, but I had to go back to Windows due to work shenanigans.
>Everything's so big. It's weird.
For some reason, display scaling is set to 120% in fresh Nobara installs. You can turn it down and then it becomes normal.
Oh, nice. I checked a few screenshots and yeah, some were better.
Maybe GE forgot that not everyone is on a 4k monitor and left that setting in there while making the ISO.
There's literally no reason to move on from 10.
Yeah, but eventually you will be forced. It sucks.
But 11 is only like a year old?
This computer is 8 years old and barely met the specs to upgrade to 11 just 2 years ago, my laptop is non-upgradable and probably doesn't have the specs either. I won't be getting 12 unless it comes with my next computer which I don't lament as I miss Windows 10
We're quickly approaching a point where only out of touch boomers are still using Windows.
The kids and normies just use their smartphones and, of course, the sophisticated millennial uses Linux, which really only leaves old people who aren't comfortable doing things with their phone and stupid people who don't know any better. Then the incredibly weird people who use Mac OS.
Except the numbers don't reflect that at all. Desktop Linux is still a meme.
m series macbooks still mog jeetdows laptops on battery life, touchpad, and screen, sorry troonoid
>the sophisticated millennial
Been using Linux Mint for the last year, everything runs smoother and faster without the background bloat from Windows.
My laptop gave me a notification about a windows update, didn't think anything of it, left the room for about an hour & came back & it tried installing windows 11 on its own & failed. Weeks went by where everything was normal & then one day I booted the laptop & the homescreen was completely different & I realized I now had windows 11. I don’t like it but I've gotten used to it, some really moronic design choices were made.
that happened years ago with Windows 10. People running Windows 7 would run windows update as usual, and without warning it would upgrade and reboot into Windows 10.
It caused chaos in workshops, schools and offices. Microsoft got in shit but clearly did nothing about it
They tried really hard to force 10 onto people. I remember needing to research every update before installing to avoid it.
>that happened years ago with Windows 10
I heard about that but I thought they stopped doing that kind of shit, guess I was wrong.
Why do you fricks never post a link?
Because its not real
The only purpose of Ganker is to make up fake shit then get angry about it
The frick? Windows 11 came out 2 years ago. Can’t wait to see how they frick up this OS and try to make it more like macOS/iOS. Windows 10 was a piece of shit but a half-step above Windows 8. No OS they’ve made since 7 has been worthwhile
>things that never happened
keep huffing the copium linuxsisters, year of the Linux soon
Nice rumor.
>dedicated AI hardware might be recommended
So what, you're expected to have a dedicated GPU? So Windows can waste CUDA cycles generating results you could have just gotten from a Google search but hey now ~Microsoft~ are the only ones with the data? I pray everyday ragnorak where Linux slaughters Microsoft at the end of the world.
>pray everyday ragnorak where Linux slaughters Microsoft at the end of the world.
Wut?
ragnarok is looking increasingly like what happened last time there was an AI singularity
Anons i'm using 11 and i think the best Win is 7. Why is every anon itt saying 11 is shit? With a few tweaks it can almost look usable
The only thing that had me pulling my hair out was the changes to File Explorer. Having to manually add "Date" to Sort By command, folders appearing on the bottom of the page, having to tell it to stop grouping files by date every other day, and for awhile no folder preview really really annoyed me. Another thing I hate about 11 is when I go to open a file in the pictures program that came with 11 while previewing it in file explorer it'll say the procedure isn't recognized. I'm forced to open in firefox or chrome which is a massive pain.
This is me not even trying. Your Win11 might me possessed
By date did you mean other than modified date? Using the pictures programs for anything other than normal pictures will get you fricked anyway. But if you're using firefox or chrome you deserve it
Not that anon but whom ever made this shit deserves a fate worse than death.
I agree, there's a way to permanently disable it btw.
Correct. Pajeets deserve death
Its hard as frick and it was when competent people was working on it, imagine now that its being worked by literal monkey pajeets.....
>Source some random IRC channel and a bunch of 4chin posts from 2016, one that was even blatantly wrong because Windows 11 exists and soon 12 will exist.
Yeah that's very convincing mhm.
Man, but windows 11 really looks ugly.
Easy registry fix. I did it on my m8s PC.

Welp... there goes my hope for windows 12 being actually a competent OS. More shit from micropajeets.
You VILL buy zee new PC to use zee new Bonzi Buddy
I'll stick with w10 ltsc.
What will you do after 2032? Even if Windows 11 LTSC ends up being 2040 extended support, what will you do after that?
NTA but probably blow my brains out in 2040
So there it is. Rokko's basilisk brought to you by Microsoft. Dear basilisk i was always pro AI overlord. I submit to you. Don't torture me.
Desktop is quickly becoming an "enthusiast" (gamers, FOSS programmers, whatever) or work thing, normies use their phones for everything.
I work for school right now. We use laptop with docking stations for everything. We even allow students to buy laptops from us.
No one is using desktop anymore, not even programmers.
I installed Windows 11 at launch and I will do the same for Windows 12.
I jerk off and ejaculate to e-girlcon AI images at least twice a day everyday, I emulate Nintendo games, I also torrent movies, TV shows, music and anime, and have been doing it for at least 20 years now and I have no reason to stop.

>being stupid, when there are no points for being stupid in the game of life
I literally just updated to Win11 for direct storage. They should really stop making new Windows versions until they actually make everything match. Windows 11 feels like it's running 3 different versions of Windows. The fricking right click menu having an option to show the old right click menu that goes all the way back to Win 98 is insanely stupid. Control panel is still Windows 7 and separate from the settings menu. Laterally what are they doing? I can't even imagine what spaghetti code this OS is running on.
I don't think the classic menu will survive Win12 launch, right now it's pretty much done except for just a few things like the nVidia control panel and maybe some other programs here and there, but the main functionality is working. Now it's up to the software developer of those products to support the new context menu. Latest Winrar already added support but 7zip hasn't yet.
I haven't even bothered install zip or winrar because the extract feature in W11 is actually really nice. I like how it automatically opens the new folder folder it makes after you extract
That won't change with windows 12. Windows has been spaghetti code for the last 20 years. At most all the can do is try and make everything cohesive and comprehensive. I feel they're trying that but can't really nail it. Pajeets coding am I right?
we had some microsoft leaks on here that confirmed that their coders are all pajeets and they just add more code to the old code to look like they're doing something. they also can't remove any of the legacy code because they don't know how it works. lol.
Linux kernel development is exactly the same
good morning sir
Anon, they are removing the legacy code, otherwise you wouldn't get pic related. Read highlight if tl;dr. You're not allowed to have vertical taskbars for this exact inane reason.
that's not removing legacy code, that's not supporting the shit they added in some newer version because they fired the devs who wrote it. the legacy code is the code they still have.
Hope is leaked and burned to ashes
>dedicated AI hardware

>I'm afraid I can't let you play that Dave.

why ins't linux the industry standard? even basic shit like input lag is better on it (if your port ins't garbage that is)
I have met people who literally think you can break your PC with a bootable pen drive, tech literacy is in a all time low, there is no way most people will learn basic shit like this.
Bill pushed his shit hard. A very common israeli tactic has always been to shill your product hard and have it in every place. Schools, libraries, and many work places and sue anyone who ever dares step into your territory. So even if something better comes out or already out, it doesn't matter because you already locked down your basic consumer. Many decades pass and here we are.
Microsoft made a bunch of deals to ensure they were windows was the only OS on a lot of computers you bought. Computers at the office have windows and a lot of video game companies developed for windows. Everyone used windows because "it just worked" or was easier to use for really basic tasks. And since everyone is using Windows, its taught at schools as well, so everyone only knows windows.
>Everyone used windows because "it just worked" or was easier to use for really basic tasks
Isn't this what a good OS should try to become? not like a troonix user would understand of course.
Linux does just work now, epically if you are just trying to browse the internet, check your emails, type out documents, and other common tasks.
So please do the dutiful Ranjeet, and have a nice day.
But Windows does the same shit but simpler, why would anyone want to switch to linux just to check email and write documents?
Not anymore. Windows keeps getting harder to use as you want with each passing "update."
The current barrier to linux is having to learn how to use something different than what was taught in school.
>having bill gates fist your anus and ping your every mode to his servers every 2 seconds is just simpler sir
Libreoffice is better than microsoft office. Even if I am forced to use windows i would still use libreoffice. And email is based on web clients, linux has better web browsers
Linux is so shit that it's free and people still prefer to pay for windows and office. Sorry troons but that won't change. Maybe when you stop fighting over which distro is better and make everything GUI friendly, but I bet you don't like that.
>Maybe when you stop fighting over which distro is better and make everything GUI friendly
You're a jeet that never tried it and don't know anything

You literally never have to use the command line in modern linux distros. Any windowsgay could easily pick up any of the popular distros.
Optimized, yes. But optimized for a world long gone.
If a $200 modern chinkbox minipc that can be bested by a smartphone can flawlessly run W11 then all complaints about hardware optimization with newer software go out the window.
i'm not updating, if they try forcing win11 on me i'll just switch to linux.
you don't fool anyone Linux troon. People will install Windows 11 LTSC once available and not move into your piece of crap that nobody uses.
>normalgays
>LTSC
Normal gays will move to Windows 12 with no issues. Ganker schizos will move to LTSC
You wont i bet. You will just upgrate to 11, maybe try to debloat it.
Say that 11 was always good and threaten to switch to linux when they will start forcing 12.
Now if you are actually serious, you should either start dualbooting or setting up a vm and start getting into linux.

They're barely getting started with getting W11 up to the same level as 10
Can anyone actually name a single thing improved for the end user since Windows 7 that would justify changing versions? How have these OS revisions actually improved things at all? Locking specific software/hardware to newer versions to force change is not an improvement for the user.
Its enshittifaction. Every time a new windows OS is released, its never for the end user's benefit, its to sell the same product you already have to you again. Its an prime example that a profit motive doesn't encourage a company or people to create a better product.
they genuinely could've gotten away with just releasing windows 2000 SPs forever

>"dedicated AI hardware"
Yeah, that's not a thing.
oddly, this obsession with AI is making regular humans more important in any setting. Nobody asked replace billions of jobs with AI, now your customers are annoyed and you are losing sales because customers are flying to competitors who still using humans in lots of areas.
There has been an explosion in AI applications that have come out, the idea being that organic lifeforms have finally hit a point where they're building the coding that will allow a AI to take their place. I have never once seen those tools properly used by any place or are just a proof of concept. Man, we can't program our $60 USD videogames without bugs
AI is a productivity tool. Game devs are already using it for boilerplate code and that's a nontrivial use case. Most of the games being released now started development before ai exploded. After ai, all software devs are able to 5x their productivity. Graphic designers can integrate it into their workflow for textures and fixing models. Debuggers can use it to increase their efficiency too. If you thought games in 2023 were good you havent seen anything yet. Soon indie games will look like today's AAA, and AAA will be unimaginably big with faster turnaround time.

that's the point i was trying to make to that shitposting wienersucker: it's not just anime girls and horribly written quora answers anymore - dumb frick israelites are using it to "write" movies and make ads and they're all TERRIBLE. these lead golems will 100% run everything into the ground because they think it's the new hip thing and they will make us ride it all the way with them.
it already happened with the newest mission impossible. that shit was absolutely AI trash and it's obvious, and it will be obvious every time and yet none of them will take 1-3 hours to watch their OWN FRICKING SHIT and realize it. it's a strange mix of condescension, idiocy, ignorance, and malice
yeah I agree
Wait, they're already using this in movies? What part of it was undertaken by the AI? If it's the script I'm going to laugh even harder.
yes. same with "grey man" - that ryan gosling stinker on netflix. you can tell because, just like any other writing it does, the story is completely fricked. just totally wigged out, disjointed, nonsensical, pointless, etc. it has zero understanding of story telling principles, human desire or motivation, it has no historical literary precedent, i could go on. it simply lacks soul, but what really makes it trash is that it simply also doesn't know how to TELL the story it does whip up and Black person-rig. fricking dead reckoning both spoils itself AND creates a massive, mind boggling fricking plothole in the first 5 minutes of the movie. it is unbelievable
it also doesn't open up like every other mission impossible nor does it follow the mission impossible beats, and to top it off, has THE worst dialogue and jokes in not only the M:I series but compared to many other movies
it genuinely made me mad to watch and i didn't even pay for it. if you haven't seen it yet, DON'T. FRICKING. BOTHER. it's 3 hours of unrepentant DOGSHIT. total waste of my life
I hope they keep bombing then, but we're going to have to make a list of AI riddled garbage to avoid, that shit isn't even worth pirating.
unfortunately unless they outright use it as a marketing gimmick the abject failures of AI are more covert and insidious and generally just poisonous to the whole content of a movie than just making it look shitty or putting a Black person on the cover. the kind of shit it fricks up is stuff you'll only notice if you sit down and start wasting your time watching it, more so if it dawns on you after 20-30 minutes of nonsense. i've noticed they don't like revealing when they had a chatbot write their script - probably to try and gauge how "good" it really is.
and so, well, if any israelites are reading this. STOP. it's not going to work and never will. hire me instead to write your movies instead you baby blood stained semites. not your nephew yoshua, not the newest version of chatgpt, not laqueeshiums or roflondra, ME. A POWERFUL, INTELLIGENT, WHITE MALE. you guys use to do it and that worked, and now you don't and none of it works... huuhhhhh hmmmm guhhhhhh durrrrr what could possibly have changed.....
meds
You can't use AI to build shit other than soya sauce hobby shit. No nuclear plants, no bridges, can't even run a John Deere construction machine. Can't even use it for farming 1000+ acres of food. Can't even fly a plane without a pilot overseeing it. AI is just another wrench in the toolbox of men, all this idolatry and worship is like worshipping a fricking screwdriver.
that's a powerful cat.
> After ai, all software devs are able to 5x their productivity.
>If you thought games in 2023 were good you havent seen anything yet.
is this a bait post? this is the most moronic post ive read this year. log off Ganker now and forever
>If you thought games in 2023 were good you havent seen anything yet. Soon indie games will look like today's AAA, and AAA will be unimaginably big with faster turnaround time.
Actually laughed out loud. If it’s a troll post good work, but you are a moron who thinks ai is helpful for any commercial use, so probably not.
I hate the antichrist! I reject the judeo panopticon!
What if Microsoft rereleased Cortana but she had a Clippy-esque avatar of her Halo 4 body and could give you JOI
Microsoft won't even let you make a woman showing cleavage in their AI image generator, lol.
Unless changes in windows 12 are expressly tied to hardware level permissions, people will find a way to hack the OS and take out the telemetry, spying, and other forceful bs which includes getting around any verification checks they put in place.
Isnt win12 going to be cloud only?
In that case i assume every file of yours is going to be on MS computer somewhere in india.
How the frick are you going to remove telemetry from that?
No one said it would be cloud base. That was rumor.
A rumor that's been going on since Windows 10 I might add.
>Open the N-wordpass.mod.Overwatch2.v4.5.9.zip, please Hal
>I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afrain I can't do that.
>He still uses Windows for gaming
Valve has proved that Linux is simply superior to Windows for gaming so why are still using Windows? I mean if it were Win7 I would kinda understand but anything past that is shit
>Linux is simply superior to Windows for gaming
Do you guy's actually believe the shit that comes out of your mouth?
https://www.tomshardware.com/software/linux/three-gaming-focused-linux-operating-systems-beat-windows-11-in-gaming-benchmarks
O no Linux beat windows in couple games that could actually run. Lol
You can laugh now, but this is merely the start.
Multiplayer games? Not surprised. EAC has always been a hassle, little Timmy hates linux.
I have games that can't even run on Linux but work fine on Windows.
Let me guess, these are online games that require kernel level anticheat?
You sure showed us.
You're a jeet with 62 IQ who doesnt know how to use linux
Linux.
>but muh gayme-
Pic rel.
Sure thing buddy
I'll never stop being annoyed that ProtonDB doesn't even show what those "top 10", etc., games are. When you actually look up a game, it only shows Platinum/Gold/Silver/etc. and these Tier N ratings are only in aggregate stats that don't show what the games are, so I can't see a single actual example of what game is supposedly Tier 2 for example. Idiotic.
Anyway, half of those top 10 are probably broken due to anti-cheat. Nobody who chose to use Linux really cares about those games. Otherwise they would have stayed on Windows. Try not to be too butthurt about this but my favorite games work without any issues. That means I click play and they play. Do the "noooo you're lying" routine for my amusement.
Ummm linuxsisters??? Care to elaborate I thought everything just worked??
Will do once Steam Link(Oculus Quest) will work with Linux/GNU
maybe when my weeb games works in 2031 LOL
name of the game?
it's probably that akirahabana or whatever where you smack girls around
That game runs like shit even of windows, it's probably a lost cause then.
EAC is still not solved
Honestly too soon. For many reasons.
The slow 11 adoption is already an issue, with most people realizing it is a worse version of 10 with extremely stringent hardware requirements so many people that would have tried it out literally can't, my old computer still works fine I don't need to replace it until breaks.
They should stick with making windows 11 not shit right now. It will be a middle finger to everyone that did switch because frick you we're moving on. Not mention Windows 10 isn't even of service by june 2024. If they want to do insider preview of build of 12 and not do wide scale release that is their best option right now.
I can see every feature update renamed a windows version because normalgays think bigger number = better like how Chrome does it.
When I upgrade my SSD, I'm using SteamOS instead of Windows. Tired of Windows constantly trying to change shit and be new when it was already OK to start with. I want my car to be a car, I don't want to buy a new car and they changed the way the thing steers and accelerates. Frick you.
Im pretty sure that the steamos that deck is running is still not available to the public. So you will have to wait.
>I'm using SteamOS instead of Windows.
You better be using an AMD gpu. There have been far more problems on Nvidia than on AMD when using gnu/linux.
Nvidia works flawlessly on linux, shill
Nouveau is still shit.
525 is the driver that's always been stable but its old at this point. Don't deny that 535 had problems, and 545 is barely stable. Yes, it's sad that the biggest GPU vendor doesn't want to share company secrets with its drivers. What about it? Nvidia is still more shit on linux compared to AMD simply because you can't get the real autists to peek under the hood.
Not always.
Had to actually downgrade my nvidia drivers to play cyberpunk.
How is it with Wayland on the latest drivers?
Xorg is going away next year, AMD seems ready.
Novidya is fine here as long as you are using vanilla kernel&x11
The only SteamOS available to desktops is the old one based on debian. You really shouldn't use it since it is no longer supported.
he's likely waiting on SteamOS 3 for Desktops which is a chad move. Here's the latest update:
>"Oh, man," sighs Lawrence Yang, "it's very high on our list, it's on our list and we are working on it. But a lot of the same people that would make the general install of SteamOS available are the same people that are making Galileo [Steam Deck OLED] work.
Vavle time pls
There's still a bigger hurdle before you see Steam OS come out: proper Nvidia support for gaming on linux. e.g. A guy got pissed about shadowreplay on linux to the point that he wrote his own video recorder.
https://github.com/matanui159/ReplaySorcery
>matanui159
https://flathub.org/apps/com.dec05eba.gpu_screen_recorder
are we talking about real AI here or one of those language model fake AI that impresses only pajeets and other low IQ third worlders?
>homebrew versions
>AI "jailbreak" exploit in the first release that allows people to spoof windows 12 update verions so anything can run
>actually good linux distro finally gets developed due to an actual need for it as a consumer OS for the first time ever
It'll be fine anon, it's microsoft, they're laughably inept at policing this shit and if they ever try it they are finished have you seen the DALL-E threads? MS can't even filter text properly with AI never mind a whole OS and every seething autsit on the planet.
Windows 11 sucks so much that they’re floating the idea of needing a $2,600 device to run windows 12. The AI will spy on you better than ever before.
Are we already with 12? Guees ill better learn the best linux gaming distro when they drop 10 on purpose
The more news I see the less I want to change from windows 7.
Few minutes of trying to configure 10 is usually enough to kill any desire to move to a never Windows OS.
I absolitely despise them to log in into their ecosystem when setting up the win10.
Only bypass i found was setting it up with no internet access.
Figure out how to run windows 7 on modern hardware, it's been done.
I tried but my Win7 disc refuses to boot on my AM5 motherboard.
It's over...
>I tried
No, you did not.
>AM4
I have a Ryzen 5 7500F
You still haven't tried hard enough. Chinese have more passion than you, pic related.
what are the benefits of spending n amount of hours doing that? the thrill of posting a screenshot on an anonymous forum to feel superior for a few moments?
>what are the benefits of spending n amount of hours doing that?
Proof of concept you can in fact install windows 7 on modern hardware provided you have the drivers. One chinese dude does it after n amount of hours so that the guys that come after can spend just 5 minutes installing it on their PCs.
>The solution is to run the Windows 7 installation file through the Windows 8 setup file
Autism
Windows 10, not 8. Probably going to be skinned into 11 the way things are going.
I switched to Mac around Windows 8, it’s comical that Windows is more locked down and overprotective than Mac is these days. Still have to use 10 and 11 for work, shits painful
>criticized heavily over inflated requirements of Win11
>lol let's make Win12 requirements even bigger, what are you, poor? Get that new mobo and last gen Intel already!
I really don't understand what for. What do 11 and 12 have that previous systems don't? Like I'm just a simple user who wants things to be stable so everything can simply work. The less resources it requires the better.
>use windows 7 for nearly 14-15 years
>everything is cool
>have to switch after PC dies
>check task manager on a BRAND NEW windows 11
>+50% fricking usage across the board just sitting there on the desktop
frick windows to Black person monkey hell. i would rather do all my work and gaming on whatever makes a fricking nintendo DS go than ever touch windows again
Youngest generation of coders don't care about optimizing. They don't even understand the concept as they don't have any reason to do it, always having strong hardware at hand. I remember that when I started to learn coding at uni (stupid obligatory programming related subject every single semester, I hate coding even today), I had no motivation for optimizing until I had to code for micro controllers with 1 kilobytes of memory and THEN I understand why it matters.
Plusz they force sales of new hardware that way. If your CPU is still fine and kicking because you happened to buy strong one back then (like my i7-6700k from 8 years ago, replaced only few months ago by i7-13700), there is no reason to change it and poor hardware stores are starving.
>don't care about optimizing.
It's this kind of shit that makes me laugh at tech singularists and AI cultists. Dumb homosexuals can't even cram as much information as a bundle of DNA in a cell.
>I remember back in my day we used to have to WALK to school uphill both ways in a BLIZZARD
>back in my day we had to WRITE LETTERS and WAIT FOR MONTHS gosh darn it kids these days are all going to hell
lmao fricking have a nice day
Except all your examples are of inefficient methods that aren't following optimizations.
>walk to school in a blizzard
what are skiis and sleighs
>writing letters
what is a telegraph
All equally old solutions, but optimized.
if you write a dogshit pos piece of code it might multiply execution time by 10x. then you replicate that hundreds of times, then you add it to a badly designed recursive function. now it's 100000x and your entire app runs like a slideshow and you have no idea why. homosexual.
I don't see why anyone would use *any* windows to do anything besides game and run your goodgoy software. You'd have to be moronic not to use linux.
I'm only shitting on moronic boomer homosexuals that screech about not being able to run 11 on their 15 year old thinkpad while also refusing to install linux. Fricking normalhomosexual Black person homosexuals should have stayed THE FRICK OFF THE INTERNET
>Fricking normalhomosexual Black person homosexuals should have stayed THE FRICK OFF THE INTERNET
That went right out the window when phones became little computers. There's no going back.
>Win11 came out only 2 years ago
>hurries release of 12 to get on MUH AI HYOIP
>will be the buggies os launch since ME
my body is ready
I hate AI with all my might. Should remain as assistant for writing erotic stories.
That's because you're a stupid fricking monkey boomer.
>Win 12
Huh? Didn't we just get 11?
>dedicated AI hardware
Ah so AI fad is about to die off. morons are using it as a buzzword were it makes 0 sense
Dedicated AI hardware isn't a buzzword.
Correct. They are using it as a buzzword despite the fact it is nonsensical
you gays said that for W10 too, you said it removed pirated games overnight and there was no way to do that, then a fix came out because piracy sells, and it sells a lot
GOOD MORNING SAAR
>trying to apply crack and illegally run this video game, eh you little shit?
>I'm calling police and locking your PC right now
Show me the country where possession and use of pirated content is illegal. Last time I checked only hacking and distribution is
>UM ACKTUALLY
laws can change, zach
