Minish Cap was fun but I didn't like Phantom Hourglass due to the controls.
I tried playing it using a mod that gives d-pad controls but with how much the d-pad is integrated into items and everything else it ended up feeling less than ideal. Line beck is still probably my favorite character in the franchise though, what a big lovable pussy.

It does everything alttp did but better and more distilled.
To be clear I'm not saying ALttP is a bad game, but rather that Minish Cap reiterates on its concepts to perfection.

I would say you play it on the actual hardware if possible. The graphics of this game are gorgeous.

it's interesting how the second overworld is comprised of areas across the main overworld but you are shrunk down and the layout of things being giant changes things up.
a really cool thing it does twice is that a boss and a mini boss for two dungeons is a normal regular enemy that stumbles into the dungeon to fight you while you are tiny so they become this huge fight by contrast.
Minish Cap is the best game in the series.

Nah frick you, minish cap is good for what it is. It doesn't try to make itself the best zelda game but an enjoyable one, and for that I think it gets a pass from me.
