The remake is missing that gritty aesthetic the original had. Everything looks way too clean. SMRPG had a very unique look and this just looks like a Unity asset flip.
I think the actual issue is the shading, SMRPG had a lot a harsh black shadows which added way more to the atmosphere than people realize, but the shadows on the remake aren't nearly ad dark

I'll admit it's likely not the Attack/Magic/Item menu proper, but that could just be a menu to choose boosts or whatever for this new system. It makes less sense that 'Regular Boost' is a 'header' and all those things fall under it.
It's pretty clear the boost is popping up due to the chain above it, and you get different levels of boost depending on how long the chain is.
The drop down list is just showing the affects of whatever level of boost you get.
