I read about these in Pix'n'Love's book about Nintendo before 1980. Shit man, that book's english translation sucks dick. It's bad enough that I'd consider fixing it unpaid, granted I don't know French but at least I could edit the text to be less obviously ESL.
I prefer shitty English over American localizations. Even at old Japanese games interviews, Americans often lie on purpose to push their agendas like the "Samus is transgender" crap. Only a few fan translators actually do their job right.
