Explain to me again why this isn't derived and why I should hate this game? A game that allows for a truly massive ammount of freedom when it comes to how you interact with the world. If this game was like wotr half the fricking characters wouldn't be Killarney until the game decides for you. This game makes wrath of the righteous feel like skyrim. If the ending was better it would legitimately be one of the best rpgs ever made

You can't make a party of custom characters without a janky workaround that Larian is likely to patch out.

Wotr feels like a Bethesda game after experiencing the freedom bg3 allows
BG3 has way less build variety and piss poor in-game documentation on what you actually get as you level up.
Tieflings and Githyanki get more racial abilities as they level up, but at character creation you only see the stuff you get at level 1, as an example.
How to become an Owlcattle/Obsidiot in 6 easy steps
Step 1: theory craft a new character to play as (copy 99% of someone else's build you saw online and convince yourself it's pretty much your idea)
Step 2: play for two and a half hours until you get bored and quit because the gameplay, story, characters, and actual role playing are all incredibly mediocre
Step 3: get two tabs open, one for Ganker and the other for /vrpg/
Step 4: for the next ten hours do nothing but patrol these boards looking for larian threads
Step 5: once a larian thread has been found derail it by holding the game to standards you wouldn't hold an owlcat/obsidian game to, and calling it woke while denying the existence of woke content in owlcat/obsidian games
I refunded that game immediately once I realized I wasn't able to tell certain characters to permanently frick off or simply end them. I have no interest in playing the crpg version of oblivion.
Leave the real rpgs to people that value player freedom and not being strong armed by the game into keeping people alive until the game decides its okay to give us that freedom.
