they could just leave it up for modders to mess around instead of breaking everything to add a single new item or block while still having 1/10th content of terraria

minecraft has version control, just keep playing your existing version

The problem is that modders are autistic b***hes that demand to have up to the latest version.
            >We can't maintain two different versions
            >Man, new version of minecraft, better make completely new version of my mod that was pretty much feature complete. What, no one likes the new versions mechanics and complain about how barebones it is compared to previous version? Better delete old version out of spite

When the end update was added, that’s when they should’ve fricking stopped adding shit to the game that broke meta and made the game too fricking complicated.

This game didn't get popular because of its items or mobs, and yet that seems to be what 90% of all development goes to.

Black person there is already a shit ton of Inventory bloating blocks that serve no purpose other than very specific aesthetic choices what more do you want?

Adding new mechanics to the game that could open up new possibilities like redstone would be good but I can't even tell what this is supposed to be and only thing post Notch minecraft added were pure bloats that served zero purpose with the exception of Shulker boxes.
Mojang could've added simple but interesting concepts like conveyer belt-like block, a vacuum block that sucks in dropped items, illuminating potion that permanently lights up an area with no light source, etc. but apparently Mojang is only interested in adding basic bloat that should just remain as mods. Vanilla minecraft should stay vanilla, and adding flavors should be the job for mods

          >but I can't even tell what this is supposed to be
It's a Flame Charge that instead of shooting a fire ball it shoots a strong blast of wind that pushes mobs away / opens trapdoors and other items

all of microsofts additions are shallow. they arent making the game feel less boring by adding useless frogs and a stupid hideous structure. i guarantee these trial chambers will generate extremely densely like every other structure post-MS so you'll constantly be running into an assault on your eyes of bright orange and teal when mining.

The problem is that they always add all this half baked shit to the game instead of building upon itself in real ways. Like finally we have copper now, but can you use it to make copper tools and armor? No, it's only usable for like 3 things. They introduce new animals which is great, but they also need to have a purpose and all they can think of is killing aramadillos to make dog armor. Why couldn't they already have dog armor with the materials an mechanics already present in the game? It makes it especially dumb to have to go out and kill hordes of armadillos for something so inconsequential.

          Anonymous

you dont kill the armadillos. you brush off their scutes because microsoft.

            Anonymous

Oh right, because they don't want kids to try and kill animals in real life despite still being able to kill cows and other animals since the very beginning. Can't have sharks either for the same reason. Why not just replace every animal in the game with a fantasy version of it?

    >the new weapons and accessories just make the game easier
no idea why they continue to do this, the older versions of minecraft had a nice balance where almost every item had specific uses, but now youre stuck with stacks of copper and like 10 types of cobblestone

They want the sims audience. I'm not even joking. They want the people that spend hours in the house builder, but with the added grind of needing to get all the dyes and materials.

Microsoft bought out Mojang a while ago and forced people to do an Account migration for their moronic Global Moderation system that nobody wanted. Your account probably got deleted because you didn't migrate in time.

some time ago everyone had to migrate from a mojang account to a microsoft account.
if you bought minecraft before a certain date you got bedrock edition as well as java edition for migrating.
if you did not migrate in time you lost your minecraft account. old keys for mojang accounts cant be redeemed on microsoft accounts.

give me more automation options and fun shit to tinker with the world with or I will just keep playing Modded

Vanilla is only fun with friends, and even that only lasts for 2-3 weeks at a time. My modded server has been up for 5 months and we're still playing the same version as when we started, there's still lots to do.

I've never played minecraft. I guess that most of the criticism in Ganker comes from anons that played the game many years ago, but dislike the changes they've done throughout the years. So it's a comparison between the new vs older versions.
Since I missed the minecraft experience from a decade ago, would I still feel that the game is bad since I can't compare it to a previous version? Would you say that the new versions aren't worse or bad, but just mediocre?

The amount of useless bloat in the game now is actually a problem for inventory management.
If you know what you're doing with villagers and farms you basically never have to go mining anymore.
I never really minded hunger, though it is trivial/pointless.
Elytra flight, while fun, renders other transportation pretty obsolete.
