Again, Charizard was pushed harder because it was organic. Fire Dragon in a 90s monster battle thing was destined to be a thing, was a thing, and they know they struck gold.
Lucario is a fair point, but Lucario and Greninja are literally products of inorganic hype and Lucario just endured because furries and aura fantasy exists.
Greninja was an example inorganic hype that didn't really appeal outside it's own context. Completely agree, Greninja was not organic at all, it getting it's own special transformation while the other two starters were completely left in the dust (No matter if they are popular or not) is just plain ridiculous shilling, even further more when after Gen 6 all the Starters get the gimmick of that Gen (Z-Move G-Max).
