You're not kidding about the pushers. It took me three tries on Lvl. 13 to get the initial waves of weak units juuuust right to be able to stall out and save up the money before hitting the base. And I've lost I've already fricked it up again on lvl. 14. That shapes up to be the biggest issue here.

Update I got about an extra 900 cat food from the slot machine and a rare ticket so I can either keep it all or use some of it, either way I have some more to spare
The sooner you get tracking the sooner you get power units and start sweeping stages. I strongly reccomend learning how the tracker works then doing a discounted 11 draw. Also remember to save your catamin Cs until you can consistently beat "facing danger", its free normal and rare tickets

Is it worth it to bother playing without tracking? Pretty much all discussion I see of the game has people use it, are you just missing out if you don't?
I prefer the surprise and all without but I want to make sure I'm not completely hamstringing myself for no reason. I imagine it's just preference/QoL.
You're playing a F2P game that actively wants your money and can either give you something you need within one pull or weeks of pulls. Why would you not reveal the pulls and work it in your favor when it completely circumvents a need to spend money at all? I would immediately do it in any gacha game possible if I could because that's effectively letting you know what you can work with.
Given that its not random you'll get good stuff EVENTUALLY, but this is the way i see it. 5% or so of a given track is ubers. But there's actually two tracks, so if you can always chose which track you're on that boosts you to 10% ubers AND you get to manipulate which banner you draw on to always get the ones you want most. Right now i can chose between white rabbit, catman and masamune, but im going to wait 24 hours so i can get lasvoss from epicfest. I can also snipe overpowered super rares like crazed cats, sniper or rich cat that will carry me through most stages.
You dont HAVE to track. I played without tracking for more than a year and it was fine. BUT. not tracking cuts your yields by more than half
Tracking essentially takes the gacha out of this game. Since you can already complete every stage in the game without ever rolling the gacha, tracking isn't necessary unless you really want to collect certain ubers
Okay I think I got it, only 2 things I'm wondering is how precisely to control switching tracks before I miss characters, both for staying on A if a duplicate is coming and if I want to switch to B, and if I can switch banners to progress through the track easier
You will swap tracks when you hit two of the same cat in a row, which is shown on the tracker, or when you pull a garuanteed uber which you can also show on the tracker. In both cases the second duplicate and the uber itself are when you swap. If you're on the wrong track you need to wait for a garuanteed uber then start it like 13 pulls early to make sure the 11th garuanteed uber spits you out before the cat you want.
Avoiding a track switch is as easy as using a platinum ticket to skip the duplicate, or waiting for a banner with extra rares in it so that it doesnt have the duplicate
You can switch rare ticket banners all you like, they all use the same seed. Just make sure you dont switch to one with different rares and accidentally give yourself a double.

Yeah thats kind of just how it is. It seems that a lot of people keep forgetting their seeds or closing their tabs or something. I just keep mine in an open tab on my phone and never close it.
Its worth having, trust me. Princessfest is coming up in a little bit, by waiting for it ill be able to get paipai on one banner and bride chronos on the other

I heard the Almighties is one of the best banners so I was going to look out for that but as long as I'm not getting dogshit I'm solid, I've been looking for teams that would work best to get me through Cyclone stages and Into the Future but my sorting's sort of scrambled considering I'm using vaulter cat all the time, which has helped a lot but it specializes on zombies so I figure there's better alternatives
From what I've heard the good units I have are lesser demon because his true form makes him barlog, boogie cat or samba cat because they can spawn fast and tank hits, dom cat because she becomes dark lazer, hip hop cat because he can become can-can cat, and bahamut and wall cat for obvious reasons, bondage cat might be good too idk

Yeah, almighties has some very solid picks, especially chronos aphrodite and amaterasu. Its been a long time so i dont remember the early game that well, but if i were doing cyclones without TFs i would want bishop cat for anything that floated. If you can stop them moving you're mostly safe. >barlog

Sadly hes not, hes too expensive weak and slow. Some cats are bad because their combos are good. You take them but usually dont use them.
If you want ubers to sweep the future consider pulling for the earth pixie, dark pixie or ice pixie. It sounds like you're early enough that basically any non-shit uber will be "good enough", so just try to collect specials, rares and super rares for now.

He, in true form, with talent investment, is ONLY 75c surge immune meatshield and he literally is required to beat some late-game surge spam stages
Other options such as rock and cactus are good too, but they require specific combos to work, where Gato Amigo is THE surge immune meatshield

take a look and see what their traits are. most of the early game cyclones are floating + some other type and so go down very easily if you can cc them with units like sanzo/necrodancer/whatever works against their trait. the only exception is perfect cyclone for which you need to get units that are fast/tanky enough to get into its blindspot instead

My Normals are all fully maxed out save for like 10 levels that just won't drop.
My Ubers will get me close to 10k once I level them all to 30, which is the expensive bit of the stretch.
i'm still a ways to go with my normals, though almost everyone is around +40-50 aside from axe and bird who are +38 and +34 but i haven't had a single use for them outside of using bird a couple times in ITF1.
Then how the frick are you not at 10k yet? My normals are at the 60s range but i'm already close to 12k.
XP is so easy to get en masse and you only need 6mil to get an Uber to 30.

Now, I just recently unlocked catseyes and I'm wondering if I should invest the Uber catseyes in either Kasli, Gao or perhaps Kasa Jizo?
Also, in what units should I focus for the other rarities to feed them catseyes?
The obvious answer is boost the cats you are using. Both WKasli and Jizo are really good so you can't really go wrong there. Garu is good too just not on par with the other 2.
Courier, Manic Eraser, Bahamut are probably the highest priorities for Catseyes in their category. Also stuff like Slime, Bullet Train, CanCan, Cameraman, BearCat. Just don't waste your catseyes on debuffers.

While they're immune to waves, the meatshields that protect them aren't. I either end up without anyone to cover them for the normal attacks and end up without attackers or I get pushed behind the base and get killed anyway.
Unless I'm missing some kind of advanced tactic, I'm still in need of a wave blocker to not lose my whole stack of meatshields to one attack.

Rest are Gacha and Collab units.
The only wave immune meatshields are TF Gold Cat, which is really expensive to get, and Stone Cat, which requires you to beat SoL first and also needs Research up combos.
The only wave enemy that should give you trouble earlygame is (Berser)Kory, which can often just be nuked with Courier/A. Bahamut.
But you'll probably want to have Octopus before you have to deal with Bore Jrs and Deathkory
I see. I've been having a lot of troubles with waves, so I was under the impression you needed wave blocker units for those stages. If they're so rare, then I guess it can be done without them, just approachig the problem in a different way.
I'll check if cat combos can help me resist more or if my units just need more levels to either kill the wave units quicker or to resist the wave damage and tank better.

Finish Stories of Legends to get everything from story drops to lvl. 40, finish Uncanny Legends for lvl. 50.
Decided to max out my Ganeshas attack and strengthen talents since I was sitting on a bunch of NP and I enjoy his huge LD range. I've been using him more than Balrog who I've fully invested into but almost never sees general use for me
His standing range isn't the best but he has one of the wider LD ranges in the game so he can snipe annoying backliners from a good distance with about as much DPS as Dasli after talented strengthen
I assume it's because 1. He's an uber 2. He's a pure generalist that doesn't target any trait and most people prefer to use specialists, especially in late game. Sucks though, Ganesh's pretty cool.

however, he, along with Chronos, Anubis, Poseidon and Amaterasu is part of most broken section of already broken banner in the game, so it makes sense he is stupidly powerful
very strong DPS + very wide snipe + decent survability makes him fantastic for stages that allow snipers (he has a bit of problem with surges and waves, the former one poses a rather big issue as his standing range does not allow him to be safe from them)
His generalist value is very high though, just like other almighties from top 5

Aphrodite used to be considered top 3 in that set but we have plenty more 500+ range snipers at this point so she's kinda fallen off. They were actively over balancing her too with meager TF and talents
it is surprisingly good game despite gacha (it helps that gacha is both not predatory, GENEROUS, actually feels rewarding and NOT required to beat the game)
Despite being tower defense, I would say it is very unique (even compared to metal slug defense & attack, who are both defunct now but for those who wonder these were basically pvp battle cats except with inferior mechanics, predatory gacha system and much messier mechanics)
The game is pretty reasonably balanced (except courier lmao but metals and aku frick him over anyway), has very interesting but simple mechanics, fun way to utilize palette swap of enemies, it is silly in a good way, cats, it can be challenging to healthy degree (except some stages on release but powercreep sooner or later gets them) and your army growth is very satysfying
ALSO, what is very important, game itself is both new and old player friendly, it constantly improves (see leaderships and other quality of life updates) and units are really diverse - the fact that there is so much unit archetypes in the game is very fun
Sorry for gushing over silly cat game, but I have been a veteran player since CotC update (which is like full 6 years jesus), have reinstalled app like three times and to my surprise game becomes more fun in consecutive installations
Personally as a guy who just jumps in and out I feel like once you get to the Catfruit phase your interest sort of tumbles because of it suddenly becoming a "Well now I have to use up all my energy on this daily" sort of game and when you're not doing that you're trying to roll for random chances on drops on event stages. Happened to me both on Mobile and more recently on Switch since I reached that point and now I need like half a dozen fruits just to upgrade one of my cats to its True form.
It's also not very clear what is good to invest into or not, if the base form is better than its upgraded or True form like Kaza Jizo, and if you invest into the wrong cat you now have some pretty awful team compositions just because you didn't look up good cats. On the Switch you can get up to 500k EXP and a third of your energy back every three level clears so it's no big deal, but on mobile that's weeks of running levels to get a more workable team. It's also not really fun to get stonewalled by event stages. At the very least Mobile is good about giving you constant beginner and intermediate content steadily and it only really expects you to get to event and Catfruit stuff after you've done zombie stages more or less fully and gained all the Treasures while Switch expects you to get all the Treasures from the first area, get the damage one from the second, finish the game, then gather the rest before you touch Catfruits or events.

I played the game back when it was released. Japanese prefectures instead of world cities for EoC and had to scour fb pages for serial codes of moneko. No leaderships so I had to do time glitching all the time. It improved over the years and is actually playable and imo most balanced gacha mobage.
Consistently giving F2P players tangible rewards and balancing the game around it so that you aren't overly punished for not forking over money and paying for rewards isn't an instant win button

New phone and everywhere else I ask has been completely useless: since everything got copied over in data transfer, including the "transfer in progress" screen, do I delete the app, reinstall, and then put in the transfer and confirmation code? I've been sitting on it for a while since I don't want to hit a button and erase the cloud data but I know it'll expire eventually and I'd rather not lose everything.
Are you transferring from one device to another? Just install the game on your new device, and put in the codes. Then make sure you have everything before you delete the app from your first device.
If you're scared of losing data, keep your codes and/or transfer code written down so you can email ponos if anything goes wrong.
Transferring from an old iphone to a new one, which is where things are weird. I started the transfer process before getting the new phone and that means the copy on the new phone (icloud save) is still "in progress". I assume deleting the duplicate app on the new phone will clear it as normal, and since everything is stored in ponos's servers right now I can just re-install and download it back onto it. Is that about accurate?

Yep, checked now, and sure enough, new info for the JPN banners, and a guaranteed banner for Metal Slug is among them , 24-29.01.

Dropped about 80 normal tickets to get first three dupes, now I need about 50 more to get the six that I have pretty much lined up for me, after that I guess I won't actively use the tracker until another dispatity like that pops up.

Unless you're trying to collect every uber it's honestly not a big deal, it's just a funny cat game. I've dumped dozens of pulls and gotten trash before, I was disappointed but didn't really feel too bad, plus it made getting a good uber later on feel even better. Battle Cats is different from other gacha games where you're basically forced to roll the gacha, and missing a certain unit can ruin you. No other gacha game has "No gacha" as a regular restriction for every stage. But anyways, I'm not against tracking, just explaining why I don't track.

You could try and farm the metal ones, since there's only a Def Up orb for those, so you'd get an S orb pretty quick. But I just do the Enigma Stages when they pop up. And for the other ones, doing lvl. 16 of Baron Stages and the continuation stage is cheaper - at least for the ones I can clear.
I farmed a bit of the new materials just for extra def against relics

I grinded my Holy Blast/Breakerblast to lvl20 but it takes too many materials for me to deliberately want to get anything else past lvl15.
Not gonna bother with foundations until i get to ZL either, altough 15% wave/surge resistance does sound nice.
I do Barons to max once and the Enigma Stages but i never actively farm for them. I haven't even done all the Hidden Treasure stages yet.

Yeah, it was a low priority for me as well. I would only take on a single stage at a time, and only when I had energy to waste when it popped up.
Oh yeah, Breakerblast and Holy Blast are the definite exception, and even then 20 is more than enough though, it gets so damn expensive past that.

Any tips for those rarity restriction advent boss missions? Like for example 8 Special Cats vs Clionel, should I even attempt to come up with a team if I'm still on the first UL stages or is the most viable strategy something like "well-timed Doron all day"?
lvl50+ ramen can almost solo that stage with BioBone, just add some anti-angel Uber like Benkei or Jizo.
I'm only up to Dogumaru in UL and did all the advents/cyclone missions no problem. The UL legends aren't gonna help you much unless its against relics or behemoths.
WahWah and especially Bakoo were a pain in the dick (although maybe that's because I forgot I've unlocked Slime recently), but I cleared all of it after all. Nice to know I keep getting better at the game, to the point that I can clear stages that have given me so much trouble before even with such handicaps. Now it's off to the Double Advents, I guess.

Cat researcher is surprisingly a very good critter unit. It has good crit damage, fair procs and fast attack rate, it is spammable and has huge range meaning it always will hit the metals

Wouldn't necessarily call a 20s cooldown spammable. Especially for the measly 6%. You can get 3 Catasaurus out in that time for more or less the same %.
JP Switch version is a bit ahead of the Asian Switch version but it's quite behind Mobile by at least a year or more. I believe it doesn't have an offline mode but someone would need to double check.
Asian version is 100% offline but only goes up to around when the Uberfest was first added. Zombies don't exist in it which is years out of date. It also has completely reworked stages across the board with different enemy units. Cats of the Cosmos is unrecognizable to anyone who has played mobile in terms of what enemies are in the levels.
As far as I understand, the JP version is more like the mobile version in terms of wanting microtransactions and doesn't have the Asian version's free cat food/ticket every six hours and minigames giving you items or EXP every three or four stage clears. It does have the minigames but I think they're just for fun. Both the JP and Asian version are in English and there's physical copies for both.
It's fun but I dunno about the switch version.

They're both outdated versions with exclusive cat units. Asian version is like the 3DS Puzzle & Dragons game where it kinda has mobile mechanics but has things that more or less trivialize things like energy, cat food, and EXP. It basically streamlines them and makes them give you tons and tons of concessions in exchange for essentially being a snapshot of the game at that point in time. The JP version is more like the mobile version and is like playing an older mobile version.

The fish is a pretty good sniper. Good survivability and damage for that kind of range. A bit expensive and slow for general use but it's the best anti Colossus besides Sirius
Finally, all my normal Normal Cats are at level 20+90. And Superfeline's at 20+72, so I'll have it TF'd soon enough. Now just to get another 400 levels across the board to reach the final Superfeline level cap at 16001 and I can milk silver tickets for NP all I want.
Feels good man, grats. I've had mine done for a few months now. My superfeline is still about 30 levels behind you, but now we have the normal tracker he shouldn't take long. Capping those normals for passive np felt like the single most significant milestone in the entire game (for me anyway). Working on talent maxing seems to feel like the real endgame.

So other than Sages and Stands, what new did v13.1 bring to ENG? There's an Uberfest coming on Thursday and the Legend doesn't debut here, so I'm guessing we'll have to wait until Superfest like with Dhono. So that's at least one thing missing compared to the Jap version, and the Lunar New Year Dragon thing is another, I'd bet.
Also, there'a v13.1.1 already, they had to fix some kinda frick-up with the LNY rewards, I think.
Maybe we'll get the new Relic Citadel with the current set, which is at least more dark catseyes.
The Ultra Iron Legion is also pretty good apparently.

Massive area damage vs black/angels. Spam his unevolved form. He will be on your team for a solid portion of the midgame so you might as well make friends with him now. He's a legit beast and arguably still one of the best units in the game.
You can run anything and it'll work early game. You should start running meatshields like Tank Cat however to protect your units and stall while you build up cash to summon other units
Jizo is one of the best cat early-mid game. Use the first form, its a better paris cat with added bonus of massive damage against black and angel. Anti-black is really great on xp stages and viable anti-angel units are rare. ramen can carry. but you need a cat to kill them outright. jizo is that one

I'd recommend to hold onto extra duplicate ubers until you unlock talents so you can convert them away since they're worth a lot of talent points which are a bit tedious to farm for F2P and would be worth more than a mere +1 level, especially with the diminishing returns on uber levels after 30.
That said if you're in this for the long run it's even more tedious to reach level 60 for ultra forms and ultra talents so even a single extra level would be helpful in that regard

He's a cheap spammable offensive unit, safe to continuously send out throughout stages. Salon Cat was Jizos F2P counterpart for a long time and she had worse damage for higher cost. Jizo is somewhat outclassed now by another F2P unit Courier Cat which you can unlock later, but he's still good

I guess I've neglected Behemoth Culling stages for a while. Maybe getting them to 50 clears could be my goal for February.
I had to item up starting with lvl.18. Map got timelocked before I could take on the last level, but I should be able to clear it. Now hopefully I can farm lvl.16 at least semi-consistently.
Oh, and reminder that Lunar New Year capsule farming got reset by accident, so there's an extra 30 cf if you want to bother.

Also after neglecting Empress' Excavation 4 for even longer, since the Red Horse is a fricking c**t, I went back to that as well and it's going surprisingly smooth. Finally being able to level Courier up to 50 will do that, I guess. Hitman will soon be mine as well.

Also, both Cat Clan and Shit Sparrow need Epic Seeds to TF (CCH also needs an Elder one), so even if they're good when True Formed, chances are the guy will have a whole team's worth of better units by the time he's able to evolve them.
Speaking of Sparrow, I was wondering if I should TF it for the first half of the Angel Baron, sonce it targets Angel and Aku (same with Amakusa with Black/Aku), but I got through it without much trouble.
one other nice thing about sparrow is he's an easy research s. pretty useful if you want more catcombo but can only spare one slot, also lets you build a poor man's research l if you have cheating heart

Ended up using Eva-00, but I checked what others exist. And apparently one of the Mikus has Wave Shield amd is also resistant both Red and Angel, making her perfect for this stage (I mean, she's probably pretty delicate if she doesn't have a TF). So now my tinfoil copium is that Ponos has been holding off on bringing the collab back to ENG version until after they run Axiel specifically to not give the players such a useful unit right when they need it.

If you dont bring any angel CC units, Exiel is practically guaranteed to be the only unit hitting octos(since he's got omnistrike and attacks so fast).
What does this mean? It means all your octos are kept safely behind the frontline, capable of wave blocking just fine. It works much better than you'd think

I dont think so. All the information nesessary to seed-track is available ingame, just very difficult to reveal and process as an individual. Having a program to track it and augment my performance is taking my "skill" above the level it would otherwise be, but it doesnt change the game's actual systems, just how i interact with them. Cat stats are mostly hidden ingame too but if i sink enough time into testing on bases i can work out specific damage numbers and health values and the resistances and multipliers from that. Benchmarking cats like that isnt cheating any more than just looking the numbers up on the wiki is.
Concieveably you dont even need to datamine, you could just have a crowdsourced tracker with everyone entering their draws and an algorithm stitching together the places and new draws each time it changes. That wouldnt be cheating either, just sharing info about what draws are happening when

To me, tracking is like looking at the deck of cards before you grab some. Yeah it doesn't affect how the game works, but it is still cheating. I'm not against tracking though, it's a single player game about funny cats so how you play doesn't really matter.

I think BC has a fair system, just predatory pricing. I dont pay money for games either way, but when later stages are designed around certain cats that you might just not have...
Really though i just play to collect cats. Tracking is its own minigame that gets me more cats faster, so to me there's no question

I like seed tracking and have no qualms about gacha systems overall. Some implementations are downright predatory and shouldn't exist, but others are generous to the point that it's not so much a gacha system as it is a randomized factory where you input (currency) and output (units) and those units are often converted into a resource to upgrade existing units.
Battle Cats falls more on the latter side, but filling out a full banner can be really tedious and time consuming without seed tracking, let alone hypermaxing a specific Uber or even Super unit.

And one thing I absolutely do not like about BC's Gacha system is the dual-track mechanic where you have a series of concurrent pulls and can straight-up just miss an entire fricking Legend rare (and would never even know it without seed tracking) and then not see another one in 700 pulls. >Okay, but you don't need Legend Rares

People that say you need gacha to beat the game are lying to themselves, we have some seriously powerful non gacha units in this game (and my list probably did not give all of them)
I do get though that some stages in early game are unbeatable without gacha but then you do only need rares and super rares
Many free units are amazing, but the right ubers get you those faster. Took me forever to get slime and caligraphy because all my catseyes were going into other units and i just never got around to maxxing out the specific super rares i needed to clear those stages. Same for ultra legends, a lot of those stages are agony without sniper or cyberpunk or an anti-relic uber or all three. Same for SOL stages that stack the fricking freeze fish when none of your cats are freeze immune, or all the stages where every strategy is built on cutter cat, or dealing with heavenly tower before you have enough wave immune units, or any wave blocking units other than supercat really. Not to mention dealing with colossi without their specific gacha counters. Its not that you need gacha, its that your experience is going to be a massive grind without it
Even if i was doing a no gacha units run id still track just to get my lils more efficiently because there's no reason to put myself through a time sink thats long been superceeded by power creep anyway

The best way is to get some then. But Cli-One (as well as the bosses of the two other chapters) are both Alien and Floating, so if you have some cats that are good against floaters, this might be worth a try.
And if you don't have any of those either, you can always try simply using cats that do big dick damage. Really, whatever your approach, the trick is to get to Cli-One's stagger before it attacks, so within 10 seconds or so (or more if you have someone who can freeze it). And it has 8 of those in total, so every 12.5% of its health. Of course, it helps if you have all the available Anti-Alien Treasures maxed out.
Like the other anon said, get your treasures. Kinda surprised you are having trouble against Cli-One considering you had BunBun before this and hes arguably harder.
Rovercat can take 10 hits from the Boss even just at level 20 (with all Treasures), so as long as you spam that alongside some attackers like Dragons or Legs you should probably be fine.
Just make sure to beat the level in under 400s, since the Pig is probably going to steamroll you.

Both of those are genuinely good, but sadly not for a long while. Katapult needs lvl60 and Ultra Form and Sakis main use is in her Anti-Relic which you aren't gonna see for a while.
They are both definitely still usable before but not quite as good. Just keep in mind Saki has Attack Only, so shes useless against anything but her main targets.
Btw get rid of Deliquent Cat, his cost is way too high for his abysmal stats.
You also may want to consider using fewer Ubers if you are struggling with stages, and put some cheaper units on there like Swimmer or whatever CanCans normal form is called.

Crazed Cat/Tank would be your goto, which you should be able to get at this point with the right strategy.
Ramen vs Angels, Catellite vs. Aliens, Wushu vs. Zombies, rest of the specialized MS at this level are kinda bad.
Cameraman can be used as a slow meatshield, but not before TF and Talent.
Roe and Octopus are good vs Red and Floating, but are more tanks than meatshields.
tank cat is usually still worth slotting in if he doesn't get immediately one-shot by everything
there's also jiangshi, people like to give him shit nowadays but he used to be considered a very good meatshield. definitely would tf ramen/camera/catellite before anything else though

Relic Citadel is built for people that cleared UL and have all the Legendaries, isn't it?

Update: i did actually beat the entire tower. Ibilujon is a bit too tanky but the main threat on that level were the squirrels.
Floor 9 & 10 are unironically easier than their normal appearances since theres only 1 trait, so you can just stack Future + Cone (+ Tea Master)

Yeah, I might have to throw in the towel at Floor 7. Puffers were a pain in the dick, but I eventually figured out how to stall up to max wallet at the beginning (same with Floor 6 and Mecha Bun), but with the enemies spawning on a timer on Floor 7 that strat is a no-go, and even if I spammed my 50+6 Slapsticks, I can barely get the first Ost down to about 50% before the second one shows up, not to mention the Sunfish.
Maybe if I got double money from the peons using Train or Richest Cat, I could afford to send out Cyberpunk to slow Sunfish at least, get some more time to deal with the Osts. But that hinges on me figuring out the right timing to send the money makers, and I can't see me retrying the stage over and over just to learn that.
Slapstick spam has carried me to floor 7 and im absolutely stuck. I simply cannot damage Rost fast enough, cant sustain ubers against the fish, and cant resist the slow + knockback + curse enough to stall. Im thinking its only doable with talents
What about some good ol' cyborg spam? That's what I normally end up falling back on for R.Ost. Slapstick has always felt like shit to use and I'm never quite sure if its hits are landing.
Heres what i used for floor 8, not sure how useful this'll be for you. DPhono died instantly and did nothing and Balrog was fully talented lvl59 and got 3 unbuffed hits in at least.
Top row is Research up (L) and Accounting up (M).
And don't worry, i genuinely found floor 9 & 10 to be easier since they don't push nearly as hard as a strengthend Cyclone.

When Glass Cat gets his Talents, one of them should be Base Destroyer, because if he manages to get to the enemy base unmolested, it should at least do a little more damage.
Of course that's a double-edged sword that'll punish you if you send it out accidentally when there's no enemies on the map until damage-spawn.

Fuuuck's sake, is Daboo even doable with 8 (untalented) Special Cats? The best I could get to without items was 24%, and that required some insane luck with Atlantis dodges. With items it barely got better with 18%, because it messed up my timing.

His gimmick is decent damage and a long guaranteed freeze at massive range with no blindspot, but a 20s Attack animation and a stupidly high speed that makes him run into the frontline constantly.dc
He's niche but works great in floating/angel heavy stages. His long freeze time has saved my ass many times, you just have to treat as more of a secondary cc, kind of like a cat canon.
NTA, but if you know you have a legend approaching, you can position yourself so you can grab it the moment the banner appears. There's also always a chance there's two legends spots near each other, in about 1500 pulls I'll have two six spots apart myself. So if you know THAT is coming, it's even more imperative to position yourself right beforehand.
I actually find the spreadsheet autism of tracking everything down so I can eventually roll everything pretty fun. Got both the Phonos with 2 plat tickets the other day, roughly within 10 spots of one another.

Zombie/Alien is always a nice combo. Just keep in mind that he doesn't get extra stats in TF, only the Mini-surge and survive.
I'd still say Lilin is the higher priority, especially if you aren't done with Aku Realms yet/don't have any good shieldpiercers

Digging my other new traitless tanker dude arguru o got with a ticket. Also got an extra Tagachi that I just used as a +1 because I was too lazy to disintegrate the 30+ lesser units in my storage.
I like Dark Iz, I pulled her early on and I still use her. Immune to everything, strong against Traitless, and both a shield/barrier piercer and a Zombie killer for added utility, she's great to have. And at half the price of some other Ubers.

Do units have hitboxes so bigger units have bigger hitboxes, or do they all work based off a single coordinate point?

I was using him with kalsi and kenshin, and sniper and sniper. The go was to knock him back to eat the hit on tanks, then let hanzo go in and set up the next freeze. I did also have bomber but as y9u said they're unreliable

I know I will regret it because whenever I bottom out my rolls a new and unexpected collab will land a week later. Based on that fact, don't roll 77 for her, hold off and nab all those unexpected collab units I will 100% miss out on.
I got her completely randomly. No shes not necessary, but has good rusher capabilities and her anti-wave niche is still something, could come in handy if Labyrinth ever returns. But nothing necessary, not nearly on the levels of fest ubers and from that list you posted Daliasan would easily be a better pick. I literally scrolled down to March 2021 to check the last Miku banner and used the "add future uber" option to account for the new Miku 16th that got added. Working under the assumption that just like regular banners, units in collab banners don't really change places from one to another unless a new one comes into rotation.
I also stopped pulling when I reached a point where I had four Uber spots almost one after another just a guaranteed 11-pull away and got lucky that there were no repeats.
So in short, the perfect blend of luck and autism.
Also now that I checked the update that added this Miku 16th, turns out a new TF and Talents for Merc Storia units got added in the same one, so maybe the collab actually WILL start right before MC. Sometimes, cope is all we have.

I found out there was a Switch port that took out most of the gacha elements, is it any good? How far behind is it compared to the original mobage?
For comparison, when I last played it a decade ago, furthest unlock I had was a red riding hood wannabe lugging around a rocket launcher.

JP Switch version is a bit ahead of the Asian Switch version but it's quite behind Mobile by at least a year or more. I believe it doesn't have an offline mode but someone would need to double check.
Asian version is 100% offline but only goes up to around when the Uberfest was first added. Zombies don't exist in it which is years out of date. It also has completely reworked stages across the board with different enemy units. Cats of the Cosmos is unrecognizable to anyone who has played mobile in terms of what enemies are in the levels.
As far as I understand, the JP version is more like the mobile version in terms of wanting microtransactions and doesn't have the Asian version's free cat food/ticket every six hours and minigames giving you items or EXP every three or four stage clears. It does have the minigames but I think they're just for fun. Both the JP and Asian version are in English and there's physical copies for both.

They're both outdated versions with exclusive cat units. Asian version is like the 3DS Puzzle & Dragons game where it kinda has mobile mechanics but has things that more or less trivialize things like energy, cat food, and EXP. It basically streamlines them and makes them give you tons and tons of concessions in exchange for essentially being a snapshot of the game at that point in time. The JP version is more like the mobile version and is like playing an older mobile version.

I have enough catfruit to get the true forms of almost all the best rare/super rare cats including cameraman. Sadly I spend most of my xp upgrading hip hop cat to get its true form.
Yeah sadly I didn't have enough xp to fully upgrade for can can, stuck with level 28 at the moment so for now I have to keep grinding. The XP stages are too difficult for me even tho I completed ITF

Pizza is the best anti-black damage.
Bomber is the anti-black that trivializes most EXP stages. A properly staggered stack of Bomber cats permafreezes all Black units and lets you damage them FOR FREE.
If you don't have Flower Cat yet, I believe the exact number of times you're supposed to open the sliding door in the main menu is 100 times within a minute. I don't know why the wiki doesn't state it outright.

He excels in his niche which is making black boars not exist. You can do some funny stuff stacking dark laser and letting the waves nuke whatever is left behind it. Mostly though its just to make specific stages like colloseum possible without talents or uber carry

a little update. I managed to get enough xp to get Can Can and Seafarer cat. I could have gotten Fishman cat but I generally use Seafarer more often. Did I make the right choice?
Got Rugby Cat today. At a glance, his sole purpose is to get TF'd so he can be useful against 4 crown Aku stages (or 4 crown-like, for example the +55 Li'l Cat stage), am I getting this right?

Extended freeze duration or attack rate (3 seconds every 19 seconds is absolutely anemic especially paired with bad damage, mediocre range, and bad HP). Doubly so since his Ultra Talents are all about survival. Name him Omegalan Pasalan.
Finally cleared Excavation 5, boy oh boy are the minibores a pain in the dick, more so than the Behemoth Croc. And of course it followed the same pattern >fail repeatedly >run out of energy >use a Leadership in frustration >clear it the very next try
But I guess now I can squeeze in a few clears on the G Ticket farming stages to get rid of it quick before I lave for work.
The difficulty of the croc stages is the unit limit so you can't spam meatshields
I only beat it after unlocking egg pod cat so I could alternate between it and green shell to stall the croc
Wanna know the funniest part? Best case scenario a G ticet is a catamin C or 1mil exp. So even with meticulous seed tracking your g tickets trade for 1.25 regular tickets, and you're paying 300 energy for each one. If you can clear exp bonanza is there really any point? Catamins are abundant from behemoth stages and tickets are just for NP and grinding into rares and dark catseyes anyway.
I've been thinking about a site to help with Legend Quest in a similar vein to the one for monthly challenges. Purely hypothetically, since I wouldn't know how to make one anyway.
It would start with typing in which level you're on - since we know the specific stage for Level X comes from subchapter X or X+1, that effectively narrows it down to usually twelve possibilities. I was wondering how to narrow it down even further, and I think picking the number of enemies on the stage is the simplest - just type one number and hit enter, then pick the right one from the list generated. Alternatively, you could pick the last enemy on the list, since most of the time I doubt there would be more than two or three maps from the most likely 12 possible ones, but that relies on people remembering how each enemy is called.
Anyway, after narrowing it down, the site would generate a list of stages that fit the criteria, with a picture-list of enemies, the name of sub-chapter and specific stage, as well as a link to the wiki to that exact stage. That way, the person using the page could either check for strategies, spawn timer etc., or go to the specific SoL stage to copy the crew they've used to clear it originally. There could also be some kind of alert in case it's a meme stage.
I hope I explained it well.

I had an idea that if the display got changed to a 5x5 you coyld get a reward if you got a bingo, but I'm not sure if it would work when they keep adding new medals in the middle of the list, since that would keep changing how everything's aligned.
Speaking of Medals, I finally done did it, cleared my last Total War and got two medals for the price of one.
But what I don't get is I managed to clear the Spring one nine months ago, back when I was still struggling with Merciless XP (I have apic of my first winning team saved, that's how I know), and yet now, dozens of units and possibly hundreds of Catseyes later, I still had to try like ten times before I cleared the final stage, and even then I'm pretty sure itwas thanks to lucky timing

True, I did clear this stage on first time but I had every unit on level 50 minimum with roughly +25% attack combo (I actually do not know how the stacking up from combos work, I have both S and M attack up combo, does that mean I have 25% increase or these chances somehow mutliply by weird algorithm? anyways...)
HOWEVER, on that stage everything is busted as shit >six lucky sloths; 1.2 million HP and 32k attack each >30 finite and 1 infinitely spawning hippoes; roughly 4 per round; 154k HP and 10989 attack EACH >three nyandams; 360k HP and 28.8k attack, but remember hippoes and sloths tank for them, also they attack rapidly and freeze on each attack >one hackey to make your life miserable; 496k HP ensuring he will live to the end of the battle and 108k attack guaranteeing loss should he be near your base >all of these spawn in first 60 seconds
Yeah, this stage is actually terrifying, but hitman, LKD, rock and courier makes it somewhat beatable, lord have mercy on those who neglected any of them (also did I mention I used them on max levels AND with huge attack up combo boost? and still it was a hard battle)

the hippos and sloths are an absolute threat but you should be able to kill the reds after the first hippo wave

i wouldn't have minded everythng if it was not fo the lucky sloths, super backliner with no proper weakness like a blindspot or being frail is peak enemy design, now add non stop attacks and it's just unbearable, and yeah, six of them

Honestly a fair assessment. In hindsight, I think my main mistake was trying to stall the wave, all it did was let the Sloths stack without getting synchronized so later they would keep fricking up my frontline. Sending out D'ark the moment I could to nuke Hippos and Sloths while they're still spread out helped immensely.

It's also funny that despite the pool only having the 7 Collab-only rares, the first swaptrack is further away than the one on regular banners.

I'd like to apologize for my previous statement. Turns out the actual boss stage is the boss stage, and the boss is the fricking metal baabaa and crit RNG.
There's still the Miku ranged waveshield unit, that has the most range out of em all and helps keep her safe for longer .

I'm currently trying to wrap up early game and I'm wondering if Jizo is a better midranger than Paris cat. I'm getting Paris's TF soon if that makes a difference.
I never used jizo but i also got him very late. Paris is a strong cat with good talents and you will always lament that its just not quite as good as courier.
Jizo is strictly better than Paris/Cyborg in every way except standing range, but also there's no enemies where 320 vs 350 standing range actually matters, and respawn time (3.87 seconds instead of 2.2).
But the tradeoff for those 2 minor weaknesses is: >Faster movement (not much) >25% more damage per-hit >Triple the damage (quad with treasures) versus Angels and Blacks >Also attacks faster (60% more DPS)
And because their spawn time is measured in seconds, a slightly longer respawn has the benefit of taking up less of the unit cap.

No it is not, the Ds can consistently tank the couriers without getting knocked back and courier dies in two hits so you cant stack them, and they dont have enough range for tanks to make much difference. Maybe with attack buffs its a different story, but good luck getting combos through the shuffle...
It's funny making it to the Legend Stages that "formally" introduce a certain enemy or mechanic that I've already seen before from an even harder piece of content.
If you're like me and took your sweet time clearing SoL, by the time you reach stages with Starred Aliens you'll be long done 100%-ing CotC and because of that the difficulty will hit a sharp decline since apparently when those stages were first released not all chapters of CotC were available so you couldn't possibly have all anti-starred Treasures.
Granted, that's not exactly what you were talking about, since CotC is where Starred Aliens were "formally" introduced in the first place, but it's tangentially related and also funny to talk about.
There's a list of rewards on the wiki. First ten stages only drop a "random battle item", and after that, those are also the rewards for like every other level, but there's also silver tickets, gold tickets, random Catseyes and even Legend Catseyes on every level ending with 5 starting from 15 (also 3 on the final stage).
Also bragging rights when you finish, and more importantly, a chance to b***h about rng.
Legend catseyes become hilariously common once you can clear the proving grounds. Not much point bending over backwards for em unless you have a specific legend rare cat you're relying on to clear stages

I mostly use D'art's first form, it only does half the damage of the evolved form, and has shorter range, but for a cost of 810 he's still useful against peons and such. He actually does exact same damage as first form Jizo, except he's got massive damage against all traits.
Any of the Merc Storia ubers worth getting? I already got Nono for tanking black last time, and I don't care or know about the series enough to spend too much CF on these ubers for collection purposes.

In his True Form, Juvens is a great Anti-Angel tank thanks to his Dodge. Makes fighting Divine Cyclone a breeze. Possibly the best unit from the collab.
I used to use Eyewaltz on Floor 30 of Heavenly Tower alongside other wave immune damage dealers when I didn't have a proper wave shield and had to fall back on the "meatshield, chip damage and pray" strat. But his usefulness depends on your situation. I have since pulled Eva-00 and also a lot of Epicfest exclusives, so my strategy has changed.

Cleared the bores on the fourth try, the next stage was a shitload of metals with a Henry just to make your day worse. Thankfully, while I didn't have any tanks, the reshuffle left me with a good number of critters and, most importantly, Luffy. Not only that, but he also managed to one-hit crit the Metal Seal on the only hit he managed to squeeze in between being frozen by Henry, so after that the stage was relatively easy, got it first try.
Cleared Okame's Playhouse today, first try. Although I only had 12k hp left on my base when I managed to push Okame away, so I probably wouldn't have achieved it without Fallen Bear Cat I've unlocked on Monday.
But now I have Naga Cat, which honestly would've been useful yesterday when Typhoon Nihil was around. Still, cleared that one, too, so now my anti-Relic options look pretty good now.
That took a very long time and about 1000 energy. And I didn't even get the Volley Cat. I'll come back to it after I beat more than one chapter of CotC.
Good news is, now you can use double Cat CPU to auto-clear the stage, and since you can slap a Treasure Radar on top of that, it means you can get the unit whenever you want. As long as the stage is available, at least.

How strong is your dark laser? One of the best selling points for her is she can juggle dark doges without getting hit so you can send her out to counter an early dog push without having to worry about hitting the base too soon. Weightlifter cat is provably also good for that, and kabuto cat is okay in a pinch f you have him
I don't get why the Collab banners can't be better.
They're literally super rare collab units, might as well set the Uber rate at 10% and give a free one with each 11-draw.

The guaranteed banner starts on the 6th. Collabs always start with a normal one to reel in the suckers, and then bring a guaranteed one in the last week.
Speaking of collab banner quality, there's always talk about how bad collab units are. I dont really have any collab ubers that arent already well known to be good or well known to be shit, but michella recently got anti-relic and curse immunity talents that go well with her strong and 100% freeze, and wyvern's true form is a black colossus slayer so he might not be trash

Mina works, she is outranged by the Master A but he is never going to push past Mohawk so theres no issue until he dies
Doge Darks seem to be the biggest obstacle on Horrorpotamus, at least for me. Constantly getting in the blindspot of my LD units the moment my tanks/meatshields disappear. How do YO deal with them? I'd use Pizza but he's so slow he can't get into Tackey's blindspot, and I assume Assassin Bear Cat would die before he'd throw a punch.
Big damage dealers with large enough range that they sit between Hyppoh's tongues and wherever Tackey's attacks land. Which is why I need a way to deal with Doges fast so that they don't destroy my meatshield/tank stack and allow Hyppoh to advance. Also Vega has Attack Down.

isn't hippo considered one of the hardest baron in general? Kinda weird since Aliens are usually one of the weakest traits.
Bringing in lots of tanky ubers with fast recharges like gravi, lumina, sirius, etc works pretty well. There's also a cheese rush strategy if you don't have any good units for that.
Welp, Healer lv10 filtered me. I'll mess around a little more, but I feel like I'm underleveled in general. Only beaten CotC ch1 and the only crazed cat I have evolved is the gross. Maybe next year.

For me it was the easiest.
He also doesn't really have any annoying mobs once you get past lvl10.

So basically, if you have a unit that can inflict CC on most of the enemies(Mitama is an instant win button) you'll do just fine.
You're not kidding about the pushers. It took me three tries on Lvl. 13 to get the initial waves of weak units juuuust right to be able to stall out and save up the money before hitting the base. And I've lost I've already fricked it up again on lvl. 14. That shapes up to be the biggest issue here.
You can stall the pushers easily by stacking a bunch of research up combos and spamming rock cat and metal cat.
Should I buy from any of these banners or should I wait for something better? I'm still sort of new to this game

Take the 750 11 draw discount, write down exactly what you pull in order, then feed it into the seed tracker. Ideally do it on the best of the best banner just in case you pull ebisu
That way you'll always know exactly what you're getting in advance and can manipulate it for even better draws
Update I got about an extra 900 cat food from the slot machine and a rare ticket so I can either keep it all or use some of it, either way I have some more to spare
The sooner you get tracking the sooner you get power units and start sweeping stages. I strongly reccomend learning how the tracker works then doing a discounted 11 draw. Also remember to save your catamin Cs until you can consistently beat "facing danger", its free normal and rare tickets

Is it worth it to bother playing without tracking? Pretty much all discussion I see of the game has people use it, are you just missing out if you don't?
I prefer the surprise and all without but I want to make sure I'm not completely hamstringing myself for no reason. I imagine it's just preference/QoL.
You're playing a F2P game that actively wants your money and can either give you something you need within one pull or weeks of pulls. Why would you not reveal the pulls and work it in your favor when it completely circumvents a need to spend money at all? I would immediately do it in any gacha game possible if I could because that's effectively letting you know what you can work with.
Maybe I'll feel the need to do so once I hit a wall or something but I don't mind it now, I'd rather the surprise.

You dont really need to seed track, but it will put you at a very big disadvantage
Given that its not random you'll get good stuff EVENTUALLY, but this is the way i see it. 5% or so of a given track is ubers. But there's actually two tracks, so if you can always chose which track you're on that boosts you to 10% ubers AND you get to manipulate which banner you draw on to always get the ones you want most. Right now i can chose between white rabbit, catman and masamune, but im going to wait 24 hours so i can get lasvoss from epicfest. I can also snipe overpowered super rares like crazed cats, sniper or rich cat that will carry me through most stages.
You dont HAVE to track. I played without tracking for more than a year and it was fine. BUT. not tracking cuts your yields by more than half

Tracking essentially takes the gacha out of this game. Since you can already complete every stage in the game without ever rolling the gacha, tracking isn't necessary unless you really want to collect certain ubers
Okay I think I got it, only 2 things I'm wondering is how precisely to control switching tracks before I miss characters, both for staying on A if a duplicate is coming and if I want to switch to B, and if I can switch banners to progress through the track easier
You will swap tracks when you hit two of the same cat in a row, which is shown on the tracker, or when you pull a garuanteed uber which you can also show on the tracker. In both cases the second duplicate and the uber itself are when you swap. If you're on the wrong track you need to wait for a garuanteed uber then start it like 13 pulls early to make sure the 11th garuanteed uber spits you out before the cat you want.
Avoiding a track switch is as easy as using a platinum ticket to skip the duplicate, or waiting for a banner with extra rares in it so that it doesnt have the duplicate
You can switch rare ticket banners all you like, they all use the same seed. Just make sure you dont switch to one with different rares and accidentally give yourself a double.

Yeah thats kind of just how it is. It seems that a lot of people keep forgetting their seeds or closing their tabs or something. I just keep mine in an open tab on my phone and never close it.

I heard the Almighties is one of the best banners so I was going to look out for that but as long as I'm not getting dogshit I'm solid, I've been looking for teams that would work best to get me through Cyclone stages and Into the Future but my sorting's sort of scrambled considering I'm using vaulter cat all the time, which has helped a lot but it specializes on zombies so I figure there's better alternatives
From what I've heard the good units I have are lesser demon because his true form makes him barlog, boogie cat or samba cat because they can spawn fast and tank hits, dom cat because she becomes dark lazer, hip hop cat because he can become can-can cat, and bahamut and wall cat for obvious reasons, bondage cat might be good too idk
Yeah, almighties has some very solid picks, especially chronos aphrodite and amaterasu. Its been a long time so i dont remember the early game that well, but if i were doing cyclones without TFs i would want bishop cat for anything that floated. If you can stop them moving you're mostly safe.

Sadly hes not, hes too expensive weak and slow. Some cats are bad because their combos are good. You take them but usually dont use them.
If you want ubers to sweep the future consider pulling for the earth pixie, dark pixie or ice pixie. It sounds like you're early enough that basically any non-shit uber will be "good enough", so just try to collect specials, rares and super rares for now.

He, in true form, with talent investment, is ONLY 75c surge immune meatshield and he literally is required to beat some late-game surge spam stages
Other options such as rock and cactus are good too, but they require specific combos to work, where Gato Amigo is THE surge immune meatshield

take a look and see what their traits are. most of the early game cyclones are floating + some other type and so go down very easily if you can cc them with units like sanzo/necrodancer/whatever works against their trait. the only exception is perfect cyclone for which you need to get units that are fast/tanky enough to get into its blindspot instead

My Normals are all fully maxed out save for like 10 levels that just won't drop.
My Ubers will get me close to 10k once I level them all to 30, which is the expensive bit of the stretch.
i'm still a ways to go with my normals, though almost everyone is around +40-50 aside from axe and bird who are +38 and +34 but i haven't had a single use for them outside of using bird a couple times in ITF1.
Then how the frick are you not at 10k yet? My normals are at the 60s range but i'm already close to 12k.
XP is so easy to get en masse and you only need 6mil to get an Uber to 30.
I dunno I did take a short 3 year break so maybe I'm missing some event cats and Catseyes and whatnot.

Now, I just recently unlocked catseyes and I'm wondering if I should invest the Uber catseyes in either Kasli, Gao or perhaps Kasa Jizo?

The obvious answer is boost the cats you are using. Both WKasli and Jizo are really good so you can't really go wrong there. Garu is good too just not on par with the other 2.
Courier, Manic Eraser, Bahamut are probably the highest priorities for Catseyes in their category. Also stuff like Slime, Bullet Train, CanCan, Cameraman, BearCat. Just don't waste your catseyes on debuffers.

While they're immune to waves, the meatshields that protect them aren't. I either end up without anyone to cover them for the normal attacks and end up without attackers or I get pushed behind the base and get killed anyway.
Unless I'm missing some kind of advanced tactic, I'm still in need of a wave blocker to not lose my whole stack of meatshields to one attack.

generally use ranged meat shields like cameraman to reduce number of waves and cycle crazed cow to stall
I see. I've been having a lot of troubles with waves, so I was under the impression you needed wave blocker units for those stages. If they're so rare, then I guess it can be done without them, just approachig the problem in a different way.
I'll check if cat combos can help me resist more or if my units just need more levels to either kill the wave units quicker or to resist the wave damage and tank better.
Wave shield is one of the rarest abilities in the game sadly.
Mightycat (from Puffer Planet) is a Special waveshield but its also a rusher with 10 knockbacks, and everytime it gets knocked back the wave shield disappears.
Rest are Gacha and Collab units.
The only wave immune meatshields are TF Gold Cat, which is really expensive to get, and Stone Cat, which requires you to beat SoL first and also needs Research up combos.
The only wave enemy that should give you trouble earlygame is (Berser)Kory, which can often just be nuked with Courier/A. Bahamut.
But you'll probably want to have Octopus before you have to deal with Bore Jrs and Deathkory

Finish Stories of Legends to get everything from story drops to lvl. 40, finish Uncanny Legends for lvl. 50.

A slow start and funny cats, generous gacha and fun tower defense. The start is really slow though, but it's worth it.
On Germany now and so far this fella + thief cat + cow win me every game instantly
Cow is awesome and with enough level you can use them for awhile until you get a better fast cat, get him to level 10 and he'll be a lot stronger
Decided to max out my Ganeshas attack and strengthen talents since I was sitting on a bunch of NP and I enjoy his huge LD range. I've been using him more than Balrog who I've fully invested into but almost never sees general use for me
I was always curious about Ganesha. He seems to have really decent stats for the insane omni but i never see anyone use him at all.
His standing range isn't the best but he has one of the wider LD ranges in the game so he can snipe annoying backliners from a good distance with about as much DPS as Dasli after talented strengthen
I assume it's because 1. He's an uber 2. He's a pure generalist that doesn't target any trait and most people prefer to use specialists, especially in late game. Sucks though, Ganesh's pretty cool.

however, he, along with Chronos, Anubis, Poseidon and Amaterasu is part of most broken section of already broken banner in the game, so it makes sense he is stupidly powerful
very strong DPS + very wide snipe + decent survability makes him fantastic for stages that allow snipers (he has a bit of problem with surges and waves, the former one poses a rather big issue as his standing range does not allow him to be safe from them)
His generalist value is very high though, just like other almighties from top 5
Which include:

Aphrodite used to be considered top 3 in that set but we have plenty more 500+ range snipers at this point so she's kinda fallen off. They were actively over balancing her too with meager TF and talents

super metal hippoe has 8000 hp and reduces all damage taken that are not crits to 1 damage.

How does BC do it?

it is surprisingly good game despite gacha (it helps that gacha is both not predatory, GENEROUS, actually feels rewarding and NOT required to beat the game)
Despite being tower defense, I would say it is very unique (even compared to metal slug defense & attack, who are both defunct now but for those who wonder these were basically pvp battle cats except with inferior mechanics, predatory gacha system and much messier mechanics)
The game is pretty reasonably balanced (except courier lmao but metals and aku frick him over anyway), has very interesting but simple mechanics, fun way to utilize palette swap of enemies, it is silly in a good way, cats, it can be challenging to healthy degree (except some stages on release but powercreep sooner or later gets them) and your army growth is very satysfying
ALSO, what is very important, game itself is both new and old player friendly, it constantly improves (see leaderships and other quality of life updates) and units are really diverse - the fact that there is so much unit archetypes in the game is very fun
Sorry for gushing over silly cat game, but I have been a veteran player since CotC update (which is like full 6 years jesus), have reinstalled app like three times and to my surprise game becomes more fun in consecutive installations
Personally as a guy who just jumps in and out I feel like once you get to the Catfruit phase your interest sort of tumbles because of it suddenly becoming a "Well now I have to use up all my energy on this daily" sort of game and when you're not doing that you're trying to roll for random chances on drops on event stages. Happened to me both on Mobile and more recently on Switch since I reached that point and now I need like half a dozen fruits just to upgrade one of my cats to its True form.
It's also not very clear what is good to invest into or not, if the base form is better than its upgraded or True form like Kaza Jizo, and if you invest into the wrong cat you now have some pretty awful team compositions just because you didn't look up good cats. On the Switch you can get up to 500k EXP and a third of your energy back every three level clears so it's no big deal, but on mobile that's weeks of running levels to get a more workable team. It's also not really fun to get stonewalled by event stages. At the very least Mobile is good about giving you constant beginner and intermediate content steadily and it only really expects you to get to event and Catfruit stuff after you've done zombie stages more or less fully and gained all the Treasures while Switch expects you to get all the Treasures from the first area, get the damage one from the second, finish the game, then gather the rest before you touch Catfruits or events.

I played the game back when it was released. Japanese prefectures instead of world cities for EoC and had to scour fb pages for serial codes of moneko. No leaderships so I had to do time glitching all the time. It improved over the years and is actually playable and imo most balanced gacha mobage.
Consistently giving F2P players tangible rewards and balancing the game around it so that you aren't overly punished for not forking over money and paying for rewards isn't an instant win button

You might be waiting for a guaranteed Almighties banner for a while. Check Epicfest and Uberfest for Chronos as well, if you're lucky, she might be in pulling distance as well. Then it's a question of whether you can plan a route to her with what you have. And if not, yeah, grab Chronos now.
I have all those units and Sirius is my favourite and most used of them all for her fast recharge, generalist value and immunity to all current status effects. Chronos and Hades are still worth it however. Ammys good but I don't really use her much anymore where I am. Lucifer I only bring to Aku stages since he has a strong up combo with cactus cat

New phone and everywhere else I ask has been completely useless: since everything got copied over in data transfer, including the "transfer in progress" screen, do I delete the app, reinstall, and then put in the transfer and confirmation code? I've been sitting on it for a while since I don't want to hit a button and erase the cloud data but I know it'll expire eventually and I'd rather not lose everything.
Are you transferring from one device to another? Just install the game on your new device, and put in the codes. Then make sure you have everything before you delete the app from your first device.
If you're scared of losing data, keep your codes and/or transfer code written down so you can email ponos if anything goes wrong.
Transferring from an old iphone to a new one, which is where things are weird. I started the transfer process before getting the new phone and that means the copy on the new phone (icloud save) is still "in progress". I assume deleting the duplicate app on the new phone will clear it as normal, and since everything is stored in ponos's servers right now I can just re-install and download it back onto it. Is that about accurate?

My Li'l Cat was about 10 levels behind all other Li'l units, so I'm using the tracker to grab those. Dropped about 80 normal tickets to get first three dupes, now I need about 50 more to get the six that I have pretty much lined up for me, after that I guess I won't actively use the tracker until another dispatity like that pops up.
But I *did* also get a Dark CE while doing that, so all's good.

Unless you're trying to collect every uber it's honestly not a big deal, it's just a funny cat game. I've dumped dozens of pulls and gotten trash before, I was disappointed but didn't really feel too bad, plus it made getting a good uber later on feel even better. Battle Cats is different from other gacha games where you're basically forced to roll the gacha, and missing a certain unit can ruin you. No other gacha game has "No gacha" as a regular restriction for every stage. But anyways, I'm not against tracking, just explaining why I don't track.

I just beat it the other day with cheap unit spam using Research M + 2 Research S combo slaves on the top row and just Courier, Cancan, Slime and Satellite Cat non stop. Time your Rock Cat everytime Esangelion starts winding up his attack so the enemies can't continue pushing

You could try and farm the metal ones, since there's only a Def Up orb for those, so you'd get an S orb pretty quick. But I just do the Enigma Stages when they pop up. And for the other ones, doing lvl. 16 of Baron Stages and the continuation stage is cheaper - at least for the ones I can clear.

I "grind" them by doing barons and towers. Defence orbs against metal are worth grinding for catosaurus
I grinded my Holy Blast/Breakerblast to lvl20 but it takes too many materials for me to deliberately want to get anything else past lvl15.
Not gonna bother with foundations until i get to ZL either, altough 15% wave/surge resistance does sound nice.
I do Barons to max once and the Enigma Stages but i never actively farm for them. I haven't even done all the Hidden Treasure stages yet.

lvl50+ ramen can almost solo that stage with BioBone, just add some anti-angel Uber like Benkei or Jizo.
I'm only up to Dogumaru in UL and did all the advents/cyclone missions no problem. The UL legends aren't gonna help you much unless its against relics or behemoths.

Cat researcher is surprisingly a very good critter unit. It has good crit damage, fair procs and fast attack rate, it is spammable and has huge range meaning it always will hit the metals

JP Switch version is a bit ahead of the Asian Switch version but it's quite behind Mobile by at least a year or more. I believe it doesn't have an offline mode but someone would need to double check.
Asian version is 100% offline but only goes up to around when the Uberfest was first added. Zombies don't exist in it which is years out of date. It also has completely reworked stages across the board with different enemy units. Cats of the Cosmos is unrecognizable to anyone who has played mobile in terms of what enemies are in the levels.
As far as I understand, the JP version is more like the mobile version in terms of wanting microtransactions and doesn't have the Asian version's free cat food/ticket every six hours and minigames giving you items or EXP every three or four stage clears. It does have the minigames but I think they're just for fun. Both the JP and Asian version are in English and there's physical copies for both.

They're both outdated versions with exclusive cat units. Asian version is like the 3DS Puzzle & Dragons game where it kinda has mobile mechanics but has things that more or less trivialize things like energy, cat food, and EXP. It basically streamlines them and makes them give you tons and tons of concessions in exchange for essentially being a snapshot of the game at that point in time. The JP version is more like the mobile version and is like playing an older mobile version.

The fish is a pretty good sniper. Good survivability and damage for that kind of range. A bit expensive and slow for general use but it's the best anti Colossus besides Sirius

Finally, all my normal Normal Cats are at level 20+90. And Superfeline's at 20+72, so I'll have it TF'd soon enough. Now just to get another 400 levels across the board to reach the final Superfeline level cap at 16001 and I can milk silver tickets for NP all I want.
Feels good man, grats. I've had mine done for a few months now. My superfeline is still about 30 levels behind you, but now we have the normal tracker he shouldn't take long. Capping those normals for passive np felt like the single most significant milestone in the entire game (for me anyway). Working on talent maxing seems to feel like the real endgame.

Massive area damage vs black/angels. Spam his unevolved form. He will be on your team for a solid portion of the midgame so you might as well make friends with him now. He's a legit beast and arguably still one of the best units in the game.

You can run anything and it'll work early game. You should start running meatshields like Tank Cat however to protect your units and stall while you build up cash to summon other units

Jizo is one of the best cat early-mid game. Use the first form, its a better paris cat with added bonus of massive damage against black and angel. Anti-black is really great on xp stages and viable anti-angel units are rare. ramen can carry. but you need a cat to kill them outright. jizo is that one

I'd recommend to hold onto extra duplicate ubers until you unlock talents so you can convert them away since they're worth a lot of talent points which are a bit tedious to farm for F2P and would be worth more than a mere +1 level, especially with the diminishing returns on uber levels after 30.
That said if you're in this for the long run it's even more tedious to reach level 60 for ultra forms and ultra talents so even a single extra level would be helpful in that regard

He's a cheap spammable offensive unit, safe to continuously send out throughout stages. Salon Cat was Jizos F2P counterpart for a long time and she had worse damage for higher cost. Jizo is somewhat outclassed now by another F2P unit Courier Cat which you can unlock later, but he's still good
Sword dogman is great for farming exp stages. Sirius is a good problem solver but kind of squishy and expensive

I guess I've neglected Behemoth Culling stages for a while. Maybe getting them to 50 clears could be my goal for February.
I had to item up starting with lvl.18. Map got timelocked before I could take on the last level, but I should be able to clear it. Now hopefully I can farm lvl.16 at least semi-consistently.
Oh, and reminder that Lunar New Year capsule farming got reset by accident, so there's an extra 30 cf if you want to bother.

Also, both Cat Clan and Shit Sparrow need Epic Seeds to TF (CCH also needs an Elder one), so even if they're good when True Formed, chances are the guy will have a whole team's worth of better units by the time he's able to evolve them.
Speaking of Sparrow, I was wondering if I should TF it for the first half of the Angel Baron, sonce it targets Angel and Aku (same with Amakusa with Black/Aku), but I got through it without much trouble.
one other nice thing about sparrow is he's an easy research s. pretty useful if you want more catcombo but can only spare one slot, also lets you build a poor man's research l if you have cheating heart

Ended up using Eva-00, but I checked what others exist. And apparently one of the Mikus has Wave Shield amd is also resistant both Red and Angel, making her perfect for this stage (I mean, she's probably pretty delicate if she doesn't have a TF). So now my tinfoil copium is that Ponos has been holding off on bringing the collab back to ENG version until after they run Axiel specifically to not give the players such a useful unit right when they need it.

If you dont bring any angel CC units, Exiel is practically guaranteed to be the only unit hitting octos(since he's got omnistrike and attacks so fast).
What does this mean? It means all your octos are kept safely behind the frontline, capable of wave blocking just fine. It works much better than you'd think

I dont think so. All the information nesessary to seed-track is available ingame, just very difficult to reveal and process as an individual. Having a program to track it and augment my performance is taking my "skill" above the level it would otherwise be, but it doesnt change the game's actual systems, just how i interact with them. Cat stats are mostly hidden ingame too but if i sink enough time into testing on bases i can work out specific damage numbers and health values and the resistances and multipliers from that. Benchmarking cats like that isnt cheating any more than just looking the numbers up on the wiki is.
Concieveably you dont even need to datamine, you could just have a crowdsourced tracker with everyone entering their draws and an algorithm stitching together the places and new draws each time it changes. That wouldnt be cheating either, just sharing info about what draws are happening when

To me, tracking is like looking at the deck of cards before you grab some. Yeah it doesn't affect how the game works, but it is still cheating. I'm not against tracking though, it's a single player game about funny cats so how you play doesn't really matter.

I feel like the way a person thinks about seed tracking is directly linked to how they feel about gacha as a mechanic in general. If you don't mind it, then tracking is cheating, and if you think it's predatory, then tracking is a way to frick the devs over right back.

I like seed tracking and have no qualms about gacha systems overall. Some implementations are downright predatory and shouldn't exist, but others are generous to the point that it's not so much a gacha system as it is a randomized factory where you input (currency) and output (units) and those units are often converted into a resource to upgrade existing units.
Battle Cats falls more on the latter side, but filling out a full banner can be really tedious and time consuming without seed tracking, let alone hypermaxing a specific Uber or even Super unit.

And one thing I absolutely do not like about BC's Gacha system is the dual-track mechanic where you have a series of concurrent pulls and can straight-up just miss an entire fricking Legend rare (and would never even know it without seed tracking) and then not see another one in 700 pulls.

People that say you need gacha to beat the game are lying to themselves, we have some seriously powerful non gacha units in this game (and my list probably did not give all of them)
I do get though that some stages in early game are unbeatable without gacha but then you do only need rares and super rares
Many free units are amazing, but the right ubers get you those faster. Took me forever to get slime and caligraphy because all my catseyes were going into other units and i just never got around to maxxing out the specific super rares i needed to clear those stages. Same for ultra legends, a lot of those stages are agony without sniper or cyberpunk or an anti-relic uber or all three. Same for SOL stages that stack the fricking freeze fish when none of your cats are freeze immune, or all the stages where every strategy is built on cutter cat, or dealing with heavenly tower before you have enough wave immune units, or any wave blocking units other than supercat really. Not to mention dealing with colossi without their specific gacha counters. Its not that you need gacha, its that your experience is going to be a massive grind without it
Even if i was doing a no gacha units run id still track just to get my lils more efficiently because there's no reason to put myself through a time sink thats long been superceeded by power creep anyway

The best way is to get some then. But Cli-One (as well as the bosses of the two other chapters) are both Alien and Floating, so if you have some cats that are good against floaters, this might be worth a try.
And if you don't have any of those either, you can always try simply using cats that do big dick damage. Really, whatever your approach, the trick is to get to Cli-One's stagger before it attacks, so within 10 seconds or so (or more if you have someone who can freeze it). And it has 8 of those in total, so every 12.5% of its health. Of course, it helps if you have all the available Anti-Alien Treasures maxed out.

Both of those are genuinely good, but sadly not for a long while. Katapult needs lvl60 and Ultra Form and Sakis main use is in her Anti-Relic which you aren't gonna see for a while.
They are both definitely still usable before but not quite as good. Just keep in mind Saki has Attack Only, so shes useless against anything but her main targets.
Btw get rid of Deliquent Cat, his cost is way too high for his abysmal stats.
You also may want to consider using fewer Ubers if you are struggling with stages, and put some cheaper units on there like Swimmer or whatever CanCans normal form is called.

Not sure about super-early game.
Crazed Cat/Tank would be your goto, which you should be able to get at this point with the right strategy.
Ramen vs Angels, Catellite vs. Aliens, Wushu vs. Zombies, rest of the specialized MS at this level are kinda bad.
Cameraman can be used as a slow meatshield, but not before TF and Talent.
Roe and Octopus are good vs Red and Floating, but are more tanks than meatshields.
tank cat is usually still worth slotting in if he doesn't get immediately one-shot by everything
there's also jiangshi, people like to give him shit nowadays but he used to be considered a very good meatshield. definitely would tf ramen/camera/catellite before anything else though

about jiangshi - it is due his high cost and super weak durability, essentially being 240c mohawk with survive
albeit with speed up talent jiangshi becomes very good, but he still drains money like crazy
Like the other anon said, get your treasures. Kinda surprised you are having trouble against Cli-One considering you had BunBun before this and hes arguably harder.
Rovercat can take 10 hits from the Boss even just at level 20 (with all Treasures), so as long as you spam that alongside some attackers like Dragons or Legs you should probably be fine.
Just make sure to beat the level in under 400s, since the Pig is probably going to steamroll you.

I haven't touched UL past Dogumaru myself and i'm currently at 8, mostly because i ran out of time and energy.
Duck on its own is probably doable, since he was for me in the Volcano, but i'm not sure with Puffington and Old Horn as help.
But then theres Ibilujon + Golem Sunfish feat. Squirrels which would probably be the end regardless.
Update: i did actually beat the entire tower. Ibilujon is a bit too tanky but the main threat on that level were the squirrels.
Floor 9 & 10 are unironically easier than their normal appearances since theres only 1 trait, so you can just stack Future + Cone (+ Tea Master)
Yeah, I might have to throw in the towel at Floor 7. Puffers were a pain in the dick, but I eventually figured out how to stall up to max wallet at the beginning (same with Floor 6 and Mecha Bun), but with the enemies spawning on a timer on Floor 7 that strat is a no-go, and even if I spammed my 50+6 Slapsticks, I can barely get the first Ost down to about 50% before the second one shows up, not to mention the Sunfish.
Maybe if I got double money from the peons using Train or Richest Cat, I could afford to send out Cyberpunk to slow Sunfish at least, get some more time to deal with the Osts. But that hinges on me figuring out the right timing to send the money makers, and I can't see me retrying the stage over and over just to learn that.

Slapstick spam has carried me to floor 7 and im absolutely stuck. I simply cannot damage Rost fast enough, cant sustain ubers against the fish, and cant resist the slow + knockback + curse enough to stall. Im thinking its only doable with talents
What about some good ol' cyborg spam? That's what I normally end up falling back on for R.Ost. Slapstick has always felt like shit to use and I'm never quite sure if its hits are landing.

And don't worry, i genuinely found floor 9 & 10 to be easier since they don't push nearly as hard as a strengthend Cyclone.

When Glass Cat gets his Talents, one of them should be Base Destroyer, because if he manages to get to the enemy base unmolested, it should at least do a little more damage.
Of course that's a double-edged sword that'll punish you if you send it out accidentally when there's no enemies on the map until damage-spawn.

He's niche but works great in floating/angel heavy stages. His long freeze time has saved my ass many times, you just have to treat as more of a secondary cc, kind of like a cat canon.

NTA, but if you know you have a legend approaching, you can position yourself so you can grab it the moment the banner appears. There's also always a chance there's two legends spots near each other, in about 1500 pulls I'll have two six spots apart myself. So if you know THAT is coming, it's even more imperative to position yourself right beforehand.

huh, izanagi is a lot better than I gave him credit for when he was first released. single target sucks but he has no blindspot and does a lot of damage. feels like he synergizes pretty well with dkasli since they can cover each other's weaknesses.
Single Target is really not an issue, theres no way a unit with 120k effective dps at lvl50 could ever be bad

I think the only ones I have that actually use an epic seed are lilin, cutter, hevijak, and one of the EVAs. Is the EVA true form any good, I liked using it as a generalist tank a lot.
Eva 01 is pretty good yeah. I'm guessing you mean 01 since its the only one that needs an ebin seed.
Zombie/Alien is always a nice combo. Just keep in mind that he doesn't get extra stats in TF, only the Mini-surge and survive.
I'd still say Lilin is the higher priority, especially if you aren't done with Aku Realms yet/don't have any good shieldpiercers

There's a page on the wiki explaining this. IIRC it's a single vertical line on the front of the unit which determines its hitbox and standing range

Hanzo has less range, faster attack, a freeze that will wear off well before he can attack again, and a stage 20 Grim one-shots him at level 31 or lower. Which means he'll only deal like a max of 10% HP before dying unless you Bomber stack, which is quite unlikely.

The talent boosts scale with your stats normally. Its always a 1.2x boost to whatever your stats would be normally

I was using him with kalsi and kenshin, and sniper and sniper. The go was to knock him back to eat the hit on tanks, then let hanzo go in and set up the next freeze. I did also have bomber but as y9u said they're unreliable

I got her completely randomly. No shes not necessary, but has good rusher capabilities and her anti-wave niche is still something, could come in handy if Labyrinth ever returns. I literally scrolled down to March 2021 to check the last Miku banner and used the "add future uber" option to account for the new Miku 16th that got added. Working under the assumption that just like regular banners, units in collab banners don't really change places from one to another unless a new one comes into rotation.
I also stopped pulling when I reached a point where I had four Uber spots almost one after another just a guaranteed 11-pull away and got lucky that there were no repeats.
So in short, the perfect blend of luck and autism.
Also now that I checked the update that added this Miku 16th, turns out a new TF and Talents for Merc Storia units got added in the same one, so maybe the collab actually WILL start right before MC. Sometimes, cope is all we have.

Balrog is one of the best units in the game, but unless you have loads of NP (235-600) lying around, Can Can & Roe are going to be more important at the moment

I do have flower cat but I never bothered fully upgrading him because I didn't think he would be in good use at late game
He excels in his niche which is making black boars not exist. You can do some funny stuff stacking dark laser and letting the waves nuke whatever is left behind it. Mostly though its just to make specific stages like colloseum possible without talents or uber carry

a little update. I managed to get enough xp to get Can Can and Seafarer cat. I could have gotten Fishman cat but I generally use Seafarer more often. Did I make the right choice?
Seafarer is essential for CotC. Fishman is a nice anti-flying rusherwith some generalist utility, but not the highest of priorities.
I am currently stuck in CotC (Aguham to be specific) so Seafarer will definitely help a ton

The difficulty of the croc stages is the unit limit so you can't spam meatshields
I only beat it after unlocking egg pod cat so I could alternate between it and green shell to stall the croc
ritual confusion has to be one of the most annoying lucky ticket g stages to farm ever. frick those capy dogs and endless metal hippos.
Wanna know the funniest part? Best case scenario a G ticet is a catamin C or 1mil exp. So even with meticulous seed tracking your g tickets trade for 1.25 regular tickets, and you're paying 300 energy for each one. If you can clear exp bonanza is there really any point? Catamins are abundant from behemoth stages and tickets are just for NP and grinding into rares and dark catseyes anyway.

I've been thinking about a site to help with Legend Quest in a similar vein to the one for monthly challenges. Purely hypothetically, since I wouldn't know how to make one anyway.
It would start with typing in which level you're on - since we know the specific stage for Level X comes from subchapter X or X+1, that effectively narrows it down to usually twelve possibilities. I was wondering how to narrow it down even further, and I think picking the number of enemies on the stage is the simplest - just type one number and hit enter, then pick the right one from the list generated. Alternatively, you could pick the last enemy on the list, since most of the time I doubt there would be more than two or three maps from the most likely 12 possible ones, but that relies on people remembering how each enemy is called.
Anyway, after narrowing it down, the site would generate a list of stages that fit the criteria, with a picture-list of enemies, the name of sub-chapter and specific stage, as well as a link to the wiki to that exact stage. That way, the person using the page could either check for strategies, spawn timer etc., or go to the specific SoL stage to copy the crew they've used to clear it originally. There could also be some kind of alert in case it's a meme stage.

Speaking of Medals, I finally done did it, cleared my last Total War and got two medals for the price of one.
But what I don't get is I managed to clear the Spring one nine months ago, back when I was still struggling with Merciless XP (I have apic of my first winning team saved, that's how I know), and yet now, dozens of units and possibly hundreds of Catseyes later, I still had to try like ten times before I cleared the final stage, and even then I'm pretty sure itwas thanks to lucky timing

True, I did clear this stage on first time but I had every unit on level 50 minimum with roughly +25% attack combo (I actually do not know how the stacking up from combos work, I have both S and M attack up combo, does that mean I have 25% increase or these chances somehow mutliply by weird algorithm? anyways...)
HOWEVER, on that stage everything is busted as shit

the hippos and sloths are an absolute threat but you should be able to kill the reds after the first hippo wave

i wouldn't have minded everythng if it was not fo the lucky sloths, super backliner with no proper weakness like a blindspot or being frail is peak enemy design, now add non stop attacks and it's just unbearable, and yeah, six of them

Honestly a fair assessment. In hindsight, I think my main mistake was trying to stall the wave, all it did was let the Sloths stack without getting synchronized so later they would keep fricking up my frontline. Sending out D'ark the moment I could to nuke Hippos and Sloths while they're still spread out helped immensely.

I'm currently trying to wrap up early game and I'm wondering if Jizo is a better midranger than Paris cat. I'm getting Paris's TF soon if that makes a difference.
I never used jizo but i also got him very late. Paris is a strong cat with good talents and you will always lament that its just not quite as good as courier.
Jizo is strictly better than Paris/Cyborg in every way except standing range, but also there's no enemies where 320 vs 350 standing range actually matters, and respawn time (3.87 seconds instead of 2.2).
But the tradeoff for those 2 minor weaknesses is:

Yes, you'll find he's one of the best Critters overall only really falling short versus things that hit faster than he can reliably crit.
Depends if you have another critter. Cyborg is fine, but since its niche is outranging melee enemies, it's more easily replaceable.

No it is not, the Ds can consistently tank the couriers without getting knocked back and courier dies in two hits so you cant stack them, and they dont have enough range for tanks to make much difference. Maybe with attack buffs its a different story, but good luck getting combos through the shuffle...

It's funny making it to the Legend Stages that "formally" introduce a certain enemy or mechanic that I've already seen before from an even harder piece of content.
If you're like me and took your sweet time clearing SoL, by the time you reach stages with Starred Aliens you'll be long done 100%-ing CotC and because of that the difficulty will hit a sharp decline since apparently when those stages were first released not all chapters of CotC were available so you couldn't possibly have all anti-starred Treasures.
Granted, that's not exactly what you were talking about, since CotC is where Starred Aliens were "formally" introduced in the first place, but it's tangentially related and also funny to talk about.

is the legend stages worth trying? I only have about 22 crowns. What do you gain from doing them?
There's a list of rewards on the wiki. First ten stages only drop a "random battle item", and after that, those are also the rewards for like every other level, but there's also silver tickets, gold tickets, random Catseyes and even Legend Catseyes on every level ending with 5 starting from 15 (also 3 on the final stage).
Also bragging rights when you finish, and more importantly, a chance to b***h about rng.
I would only do it for the legend catseyes to be honest, those are the only ones I don't have. I'm guessing it's super rare though
Legend catseyes become hilariously common once you can clear the proving grounds. Not much point bending over backwards for em unless you have a specific legend rare cat you're relying on to clear stages

I feel d'ark was already better than d'art and so after getting phono i never use d'art
I mostly use D'art's first form, it only does half the damage of the evolved form, and has shorter range, but for a cost of 810 he's still useful against peons and such. He actually does exact same damage as first form Jizo, except he's got massive damage against all traits.

In his True Form, Juvens is a great Anti-Angel tank thanks to his Dodge. Makes fighting Divine Cyclone a breeze. Possibly the best unit from the collab.
I used to use Eyewaltz on Floor 30 of Heavenly Tower alongside other wave immune damage dealers when I didn't have a proper wave shield and had to fall back on the "meatshield, chip damage and pray" strat. But his usefulness depends on your situation. I have since pulled Eva-00 and also a lot of Epicfest exclusives, so my strategy has changed.
As long as I have crowns, I will b***h about bullshit stages I rolled and bullshit teams I got rng'd into on LQ.

Cleared the bores on the fourth try, the next stage was a shitload of metals with a Henry just to make your day worse. Thankfully, while I didn't have any tanks, the reshuffle left me with a good number of critters and, most importantly, Luffy. Not only that, but he also managed to one-hit crit the Metal Seal on the only hit he managed to squeeze in between being frozen by Henry, so after that the stage was relatively easy, got it first try.
Cleared Okame's Playhouse today, first try. Although I only had 12k hp left on my base when I managed to push Okame away, so I probably wouldn't have achieved it without Fallen Bear Cat I've unlocked on Monday.
But now I have Naga Cat, which honestly would've been useful yesterday when Typhoon Nihil was around. Still, cleared that one, too, so now my anti-Relic options look pretty good now.
What's fallen bear cat's use in that level?

Good news is, now you can use double Cat CPU to auto-clear the stage, and since you can slap a Treasure Radar on top of that, it means you can get the unit whenever you want. As long as the stage is available, at least.

How strong is your dark laser? One of the best selling points for her is she can juggle dark doges without getting hit so you can send her out to counter an early dog push without having to worry about hitting the base too soon. Weightlifter cat is provably also good for that, and kabuto cat is okay in a pinch f you have him

I don't get why the Collab banners can't be better.
They're literally super rare collab units, might as well set the Uber rate at 10% and give a free one with each 11-draw.
There are 8 of them give a chance to get them for those that want all of them.
The guaranteed banner starts on the 6th. Collabs always start with a normal one to reel in the suckers, and then bring a guaranteed one in the last week.
Speaking of collab banner quality, there's always talk about how bad collab units are. And it's easy to see why, especially now that you're forced to use them during Legend Quest, but I feel like every collab has at least one genuine good unit:

saber alter cat is a wave immune special (among with basically every other immunity)
Nono is a tough anti black meatshield who does okay
Stylish souma is a rare downgrade version of manic legs, but you can get him early
Kyube cat is meta
Dreaming sakura is an okay critter
Giraffe unit 02 is great for consistently damaging enemies with huge range and quick attacks, but all the eva units are good
I dont really have any collab ubers that arent already well known to be good or well known to be shit, but michella recently got anti-relic and curse immunity talents that go well with her strong and 100% freeze, and wyvern's true form is a black colossus slayer so he might not be trash

Doge Darks seem to be the biggest obstacle on Horrorpotamus, at least for me. Constantly getting in the blindspot of my LD units the moment my tanks/meatshields disappear. How do YO deal with them? I'd use Pizza but he's so slow he can't get into Tackey's blindspot, and I assume Assassin Bear Cat would die before he'd throw a punch.
How do you fricking deal with the hippo pushing nonstop.
Big damage dealers with large enough range that they sit between Hyppoh's tongues and wherever Tackey's attacks land. Which is why I need a way to deal with Doges fast so that they don't destroy my meatshield/tank stack and allow Hyppoh to advance. Also Vega has Attack Down.

hes a lot easier with jetpack but hes still a pain in the ass
Bringing in lots of tanky ubers with fast recharges like gravi, lumina, sirius, etc works pretty well. There's also a cheese rush strategy if you don't have any good units for that.
