Tears of the kingdom is the worst game of 2023! >despite being a set protag the game asks for your pronouns >The legend of Zelda theme by system of a down makes an appearance >In the English dub the merchants will speak a lot and some of them are noticeably male despite some of them voicing females >Mario movie references >shrines are back and are still tiny two-room physics puzzles that give you a spirit orb
I honestly lost interest after ragu told me to do two more shrines. The first was bad enough with those clunky fuse controls. Why the frick are the bland looking shrines back?!? >korok seeds are back >weapon durability works the same way >The gerudo dancer outfit now says "meme worthy costume" in it's description >The construction feature of the game will autodetect if you are making a swastika >Fusing is really limited >The time travel thing can only happen in one location >master sword has energy durability still >map is 90% the same >The other 10% has reused assets to do something "new" >There's now a town full of black people >flurry rush is back and still has the same massive timing window >no playable Zelda >There's references to shiek and how "he" transcends the idea of gender
They don't outright call her a troony but the intention is pretty visible >There are only 4 dungeons (+ hyrule castle, SAME hyrule castle map) >Its the same area you can see in the trailer with Sidon! >There's a souvenir that depicts an earth globe but it's called "the universal fun balloon" which is a reference to the company making the Nintendo theme park at Orlando. >Zelda turns into a dragon after link has been killed off screen so she has to step in and access the secret power she had all along and save the day because the hero has nothing on a princess of wisdom (this is a exact line from the dub)
Overall an unmitigated disaster.
Theres just games that are so much better and deserve more praise and sales, do yourself a favor and don't buy tears of the kingdom.
Yeah but I mean your champion's skills function the same way dungeon tools function where the dungeon (and the dungeon boss) is full of puzzles that have you use them to solve them
yea i liked how they had you use them like old dungeon tools, i still wish you could just access their powers like an item though and not chase them down
Conceptually its cool but it wasn't even fun enough to keep looking at the screen. Maybe don't act like the most mid-tier weapon in the game is actually the most epic shit ever and it wouldve actually worked
what? have you even played OOT? it is literally the key to travel through time, it is thematically the single most important part of the story, without it ganon would have never gotten into the sacred realm, and you would have been stuck as a kid forever
The master sword is just a sword. The temple of time is what let link go to the future. Opening the temple is what released the triforce, and opening the temple was done with a trio of magic rocks, not the master sword. The most important item is the one whose name is in the fricking title.
>The most important item is the one whose name is in the fricking title.
except you have to pull the master sword in order to travel through time, almost like its a key
>The master sword is just a sword.
there really is no point in arguing if you actually think this

There's barely even any dialogue in the whole gane about the master sword. It's not even why we went to the temple of time.

This dialogue puts it on the same level of importance as the 3 magic rocks from the start of the game
>The temple of time is what let link go to the future.
Which is why you have to put the sword back in to go back to the past. Cause any sword would work, obviously.
Yeah, this is still the peak. >pulls the sword in a ruined version of OoT's Temple of Time >organ finishes the melody as the fog clears around Link >transitions into the Hero's theme mixed with Twilight Princess's main theme as Link swings the sword
I think I grabbed 3 or 4 scales / horns from the light dragon before I even saw the sword at the root of the glow. Realizing was it actually was, was pretty fun.
Would have probably realized a lot sooner had I just known that you could actually stand on the dragons this time though.

didnt read, too busy playing kino
Okay Schizo.
this is a funny copypasta and homosexuals in these threads don't realize its b8
Nintendo tards like
are too insecure about their Ubislop game to be able to even joke about it. Everything is an attack against it to them.
one person responded in jest while the other did the same?
I miss dungeons and tools
old Zelda style
i love old zelda but i like the new direction of the series
also the lightning temple was kino in TOTK
>I miss dungeons and tools
Those are in the game, they're just your champion's skills now
and ultrahand, recall, ascend and autobuild
Yeah but I mean your champion's skills function the same way dungeon tools function where the dungeon (and the dungeon boss) is full of puzzles that have you use them to solve them
yea i liked how they had you use them like old dungeon tools, i still wish you could just access their powers like an item though and not chase them down
so you miss loading screen between doors? thats the only difference now
Conceptually its cool but it wasn't even fun enough to keep looking at the screen. Maybe don't act like the most mid-tier weapon in the game is actually the most epic shit ever and it wouldve actually worked
its 30 base damage and 60 against gloom enemies, its very strong actually, also it is thematically badass
you could say the same for OOT, the biggoron sword is much better than the mastersword to the point that it basically breaks the game
OoT doesn't center its plot around the master sword. It's just a weapon you get, not the most important item in the story
what? have you even played OOT? it is literally the key to travel through time, it is thematically the single most important part of the story, without it ganon would have never gotten into the sacred realm, and you would have been stuck as a kid forever

ur dumb

Yes it does.
Why so often people who shit on BotW and TotK have also never played a zelda game? It's probably just some contrarian zoomers
You've never played ocarina of time if you think I'm wrong, you lying gay.
>Breaks against a bokoblin's head
howbout you stop masterBATING and PULL some b***hes
Swords holding power has been a staple of fantasy for hundreds of years. The Sword in the stone, Excalibur, the Lake Sword, Anduril, Narsil, Caladbolg
For me, it's Twilight Princess
Yeah, this is still the peak.
>pulls the sword in a ruined version of OoT's Temple of Time
>organ finishes the melody as the fog clears around Link
>transitions into the Hero's theme mixed with Twilight Princess's main theme as Link swings the sword
It's so impactful because what Zelda did to herself. She sacrificed herself for this moment. A moment 10,000 years later which finally transpired.
Beautiful scene.
Zelda has earned the right to milk Link's wiener.
Wasn't very impressed with the story (concept or execution) overall, but I agree that zelda's sacrifice and the master sword pull were high points.
this feels dumb in hindsight since botw and TOTK easily have the worst version of the sword.
I think nothing will top OOTs since you have a physical transformation from pulling the sword.
I think I grabbed 3 or 4 scales / horns from the light dragon before I even saw the sword at the root of the glow. Realizing was it actually was, was pretty fun.
