I'm probably going to pass on it. I know what the Rockstar gimmick is nowadays, which takes away some of the allure. I didn't enjoy Grand Theft Auto 4 or 5 and I dropped RDR2 pretty quick. That's three games in a row that couldn't entertain me. Three strikes and you're out in the old ball game.

I'll still buy it. I'm admittedly a Rockstar Games fanboy. I'll be honest though, I'm not going in there expecting the same level of story and writing quality from the past games. Hopefully it's still just as highly-detailed and technically impressive.

I wouldn't expect a good story and good writing anyway. GTA5 was nothing special in that department even though it predated RDR2.
