Feels like a colossal slap in the face when you look around at all the Steel Watchers and see - what's that? - they're all dropping Infernal Iron. The Steel Watchers say Karlach's heart is out of date and could be fixed at the factory? Dubious but maybe with the Gondians on your side it could be done in a way that doesn't kill her if you freed them! But no. Her options are die, go to Avernus (maybe with Wyll) or become a Mind Flayer.

Yeah, that's fair. I played with the level uncapper and skipped the Grymforge (I got tired of doing it. I've played this game 6 times with different people and it's petered out each time so I finally just did it myself) and ended around level 18. I liked all the little sidequests and stuff for the most part - like Mayrina coming back and actually doing something and learning from her mistakes. But a lot of it *was* tedious. That entire sewer can frick off.

AI Voice acting has me excited for the future of modding. Obviously the VA isn't as good as a real actor yet, but then again when the hell did any mod ever get real actors.
These are all TTS. If you want the real stuff, what sounds indistinguishable from the real deal, you need to find someone who has been willing to re-record the entire performance in real time using Voice2Voice imprinting so the enunciation and tone is always correct. That's 100x more effort though and the person doing it has to have at least a tiny bit of understanding of how to sound with their real voice so it works.

Depends on the group you play with. Some groups are in it for the roleplay, in which case the levels don't matter. Some are in it for the combat, dungeon crawling, loot etc in which case they might use a different leveling method decided by the DM.
actual DND sessions with friends are a ton of fun, anything can happen.
BG3 was just annoying with how small it was, barely any locations with nothing to do.

As far as support for neutrality goes, it depends on your own moral compass. Neutral can mean not doing anything, striking a balance between good and evil actions, or doing just enough to keep things balanced without rocking the boat too much.

I had a good time in Act 3 personally but it's easy to see how much of it is cut content. See; Karlach. Feels like a colossal slap in the face when you look around at all the Steel Watchers and see - what's that? - they're all dropping Infernal Iron. The Steel Watchers say Karlach's heart is out of date and could be fixed at the factory? Dubious but maybe with the Gondians on your side it could be done in a way that doesn't kill her if you freed them! But no. Her options are die, go to Avernus (maybe with Wyll) or become a Mind Flayer.

I've played this game 6 times with different people and it's petered out each time so I finally just did it myself) and ended around level 18. I liked all the little sidequests and stuff for the most part - like Mayrina coming back and actually doing something and learning from her mistakes. But a lot of it *was* tedious. That entire sewer can frick off.

If you want the real stuff, what sounds indistinguishable from the real deal, you need to find someone who has been willing to re-record the entire performance in real time using Voice2Voice imprinting so the enunciation and tone is always correct. That's 100x more effort though and the person doing it has to have at least a tiny bit of understanding of how to sound with their real voice so it works.

Depends on the group you play with. Some groups are in it for the roleplay, in which case the levels don't matter. Some are in it for the combat, dungeon crawling, loot etc in which case they might use a different leveling method decided by the DM.
i feel that, first time i played with my gf and her sister, now that i am replaying solo, the whole thing feels like such a slog.
actual DND sessions with friends are a ton of fun, anything can happen.

As far as support for neutrality goes, it depends on your own moral compass. Neutral can mean not doing anything, striking a balance between good and evil actions, or doing just enough to keep things balanced without rocking the boat too much.
the only other Origin that matters is Gale because he is a white, human male. You'll get different choices and outcomes for certain things, as well as unique content and endings.
