Andrew is still scared of the consequences of his actions and wants to appear normal, but that doesn't mean that he is wildly different from Ashley. The sheer ease at which he goes along with her plans and the shift in behavior that even Ashley notices as he butchers his parents and eats them is proof of this. He stops protesting, stops fighting back against her and is strangely calm and comfortable in his role as her Andy. Literally his entire adolescent and young adult life has been about trying to escape her control, but he finds doing so brings him no happiness. It's not one moment but a bunch of them scattered throughout the game, the way he is taken aback by how he doesn't miss his ex, how he fakes nightmares so that he has an excuse to sleep and cuddle with his sister, the fondness he displays for her. He's hopelessly devoted whether he likes it or not. Of course this depends on your route, so it's hard to draw fixed conclusions. But the entire subtext of Andrew is his delusion in thinking that he is morally superior to Ashley or even "sane".
If Nemlei's older games are anything to go by, being marked by a demon means you're meant to be the next sacrifice, not give you any sort of special powers. I believe it's strongly implied that very soon Ashley will have to deal with the fact that the demon wants her brother's soul.

Andrew is still scared of the consequences of his actions and wants to appear normal, but that doesn't mean that he is wildly different from Ashley. The sheer ease at which he goes along with her plans and the shift in behavior that even Ashley notices as he butchers his parents and eats them is proof of this. He stops protesting, stops fighting back against her and is strangely calm and comfortable in his role as her Andy. Literally his entire adolescent and young adult life has been about trying to escape her control, but he finds doing so brings him no happiness. It's not one moment but a bunch of them scattered throughout the game, the way he is taken aback by how he doesn't miss his ex, how he fakes nightmares so that he has an excuse to sleep and cuddle with his sister, the fondness he displays for her. He's hopelessly devoted whether he likes it or not. Of course this depends on your route, so it's hard to draw fixed conclusions. But the entire subtext of Andrew is his delusion in thinking that he is morally superior to Ashley or even "sane".

I never said that and again that’s not what I’m getting at. I don’t think he wants to do any killing, just that he’s still choosing to do it and instead of reacting to the situation in shock or denial like normal people typically would in any traumatic situation he goes to project the blame.
In the cases of self defense I don’t think he did it out of anything but self defense but it’s the quickness in which he justified his actions rather than being horrified over killing someone is the problem here. He’s not ultimately wrong, he IS justified in those situations but he doesn’t react in a normal way.

That's not how that works. Just having fingerprints doesn't mean a computer is going to tell you "WOAH! There's a match in the system." Checking for matching fingerprints still comes down to a human checking manually because computers get it wrong. Even if Andy had a criminal record, there's just too much data in the system. Fingerprints only matter after they've actually caught the guy and want to definitively proof that the fingerprints at the crime scene match the guy's fingerprints in front of a jury.

The neighbors maybe spotting them would be the only viable lead for cops. That's how cops would begin to know what to look for. But, without that info, where would they start? It would take a while for the investigation to even begin. By that time Andy and Ashley could be long gone. Even with the credit card being stolen, that only gives an idea of where the perpetrators have gone. Not who they cops should be looking for, how many there are or where the criminals might be heading next. The organs and bones would only confirm that a murder took place. But they wouldn't give the police any leads on what they should be doing in order to catch the criminals. Because there are no suspects in this case.

Not at all, no idea where you got that impression, the demon doesn't display emotion and is inherently inhuman, almost alien. It simply expresses interest in Andrew and Ashley tells it that his soul is hers and that it can't have it, of course it's mostly a joke but still. The demon gains less by taking the souls of andy and leyley, it would have no servants to gather souls for it. Easier to get someone else to be your sacrifice janny rather than doing it yourself and demons are lazy in coffin.
Because he is still grappling with his social conditioning and inhibitions unlike Ashley, he can act decisively but has to be pushed first. He's not moronic either, he wanted to get catharsis from his parents but also felt bad about killing his mom and tries to lie to her about her fate out of pity, but there is bitterness towards her too for her neglect and betrayal. There's also the fact that he couldn't claim the souls unless the demon did the killing. Ashley is more spontaneous while Andrew is prone to overthinking things out of fear.
Disgust and a strange hint of jealousy, Mom likely had been harboring these suspicions about her children for years but didn't want to believe it. It's a simple thing to come to, Ashley only cares for Andrew and her devotion to him is such that a romantic and sexual relationship was inevitable, which is what Mom fears.
That's a lot of words for saying he's not an insane, evil psycho like his sister. Hating your parents for being shit parents is not the same as wanting to murder them and feast on their flesh.
Every argument that supports Andrew being evil basically boils down to what people think is going on in his head. His actual thoughts, words and actions in the game don't support it.
Andrew is still scared of the consequences of his actions and wants to appear normal, but that doesn't mean that he is wildly different from Ashley. The sheer ease at which he goes along with her plans and the shift in behavior that even Ashley notices as he butchers his parents and eats them is proof of this. He stops protesting, stops fighting back against her and is strangely calm and comfortable in his role as her Andy. Literally his entire adolescent and young adult life has been about trying to escape her control, but he finds doing so brings him no happiness. It's not one moment but a bunch of them scattered throughout the game, the way he is taken aback by how he doesn't miss his ex, how he fakes nightmares so that he has an excuse to sleep and cuddle with his sister, the fondness he displays for her. He's hopelessly devoted whether he likes it or not. Of course this depends on your route, so it's hard to draw fixed conclusions. But the entire subtext of Andrew is his delusion in thinking that he is morally superior to Ashley or even "sane".
If Nemlei's older games are anything to go by, being marked by a demon means you're meant to be the next sacrifice, not give you any sort of special powers. I believe it's strongly implied that very soon Ashley will have to deal with the fact that the demon wants her brother's soul.
