Well I mean, it comes down to age old argument of nature vs nurture.
There's no doubt that a certain amount of Ashleys behaviour is down to her as a person, she was born a certain way that was troublesome for her parents to handle.
However, their response to that was to basically check out and bail on her upbringing, which no doubt exacerbated her problems. She was abandoned by everyone but her brother, which lead to key issues:

The artstyle is really nice and the writting is fantastic. But the "gameplay" is less involved than a flash game from 2005. Your decision making on how to progress the plot is walking to A and solving a two step puzzle.
There's not much gameplay outside of some light exploration and puzzles.
The story is actually very good though, it's not just incest bait but the characters have fun banter and it's an interesting case study on what are essentially two co-dependant sociopaths and how they deal with the fricked up situation they've been dealt.

That's what I'm thinking, someone else said that there could be a butterfly effect wherein viewing the future causes it to not happen. So Andrew sees the motel room and freaks out, because he knows it's the one from the vision, and overcompensates. Maybe the only way to get that specific scene in the premonition is to go the friend route and then make a critical choice. Would be deliciously ironic and clever.
Considering the way the route choice works and the controversy the incest causes I think it would be very stupid for Nemlei to set it up so that you get the opposite of the one you want.
Making it blatantly obvious and even having a warning that the route seems controversial, making you say you know what you're about when you choose it, seems a bit of a meta protection on Nemlei's part to ensure that the incest haters don't need to be offended.
It lets people actually pick what the frick they want, why would I need to pick a route I don't like just to get to the one I do?

The way I see it, because they've seen the future, there's no way they'll behave the same exact way, and Andrew will be way to freaked out to behave as he hypothetically would have in that alternate time. They will still of course make love in that route, but it'll be different by virtue of them having seen the vision. They might rut in that motel room but then say completely different things the morning after. Or, maybe they have sex in a completely different place at a different time. Or maybe Andrew, wanting to defy fate, gets into an argument with Ashley about it, things get heated and he finally snaps and nails her right there. I really do think that the future vision we saw is only available in the present moment if you select the friends route, then improve Andrew and Ashley's relationship even more until you get the option, it's a genius move on Nemlei's part, a bait and switch for anti-incest haters and a good little secret for the devoted player who does all the routes.

Because she's still a terrible parent who didn't want kids in the first place, and would've have made more money from selling both. Plus, Ashley probably would have manipulated Andrew into helping her anyways.
It's an interesting idea. The siblings were slightly cooperative at the start- mom could have convinced only Ashley to stay in quarantine at least at the start.
The biggest issue is when Andrew would inevitably contact Ashley or vice-versa (but mom should have blocked the old number) and Andrew finds out something is wrong. The parents might have been given a timeframe on how long the "insurance scam" would take, and decided they couldn't keep the siblings in the dark for that long. I doubt the organ harvesters would have told her about the starving, and I think the blood test was taken afterwards anyway so they wouldn't have know that ahead of time anyway.

That's her version of events. But we see in the dream sequence that the mom was dramatically unwilling to look after Ashley while the dad just stayed in the background. Seventeen year old mom wasn't keen on having another child. But went through with it anyway. We don't know why. But it seemed like she liked the act of a typical/normal family.

It's quite different to lie because you don't want your life to go down the drain because you're a murderer compared to lying because you are bored in the quarantine. The way I see it, because they've seen the future, there's no way they'll behave the same exact way, and Andrew will be way to freaked out to behave as he hypothetically would have in that alternate time. They will still of course make love in that route, but it'll be different by virtue of them having seen the vision. They might rut in that motel room but then say completely different things the morning after. Or, maybe they have sex in a completely different place at a different time. Or maybe Andrew, wanting to defy fate, gets into an argument with Ashley about it, things get heated and he finally snaps and nails her right there. I really do think that the future vision we saw is only available in the present moment if you select the friends route, then improve Andrew and Ashley's relationship even more until you get the option, it's a genius move on Nemlei's part, a bait and switch for anti-incest haters and a good little secret for the devoted player who does all the routes.

It's an interesting idea. The siblings were slightly cooperative at the start- mom could have convinced only Ashley to stay in quarantine at least at the start.
The biggest issue is when Andrew would inevitably contact Ashley or vice-versa (but mom should have blocked the old number) and Andrew finds out something is wrong. The parents might have been given a timeframe on how long the "insurance scam" would take, and decided they couldn't keep the siblings in the dark for that long. I doubt the organ harvesters would have told her about the starving, and I think the blood test was taken afterwards anyway so they wouldn't have know that ahead of time anyway.
