The devs really missed good opportunity to make a horror game out of this as you're tasks to decommission ships.

But there is horror elements in it for some of the infected ships though.
Yes
And instead we got a disgusting preachy story about a dyke that won't shut the frick up and let me cut ships in peace
Hey hey people
So thats why OP made this thread
Op is a homosexual as usual
>Try to talk about the game with Ganker ages ago
>now any discussion just gonna be sseth shit
Better than nothing I suppose
Game is shit anyway
I've never seen the helmet crack like that. Why did he kill himself so many times on purpose?
I expected to at a moment of the story, working on the ship you've been given, you could just fly away to keep cutting ships in deep space, and all the commie and capitalist drama would get behind, inch by inch getting more and more muffled until there's nothing but silence and comfy music in the infinite of space, only with the thoughts of Weaver's lessons and the wonder of discovery like the explorers we are.
All that dyke and c**tish bullshit drowning in a sea of silence.
There's haunted ships in halloween events. When I played it the ships were all on the smaller size though and haunted ship stuff works best on bigger ships.
>that nintendo putting some dude in debt slavery for life
>Seth reviews this
Perfect timing.
it's a pity the devs ruined the game. used to be pretty chill space blue collar work sim; then it became... well it's a pity, anyway.
Pretty sure the writer is that one that got fired from Arenanet for abusing a youtuber because he was a dude that said sometging vaguely critical of her.
Hi Sseth, how long did this video take you?
Not long i hope because it's really fricking boring.
Another interesting game idea ruined by moronic devs
Just like all his other videos
Well at least he kicked out his editor and will be back to making schizo content after this.
Good, the schizo content was actually kinda fun. This slop is putting me to sleep
>promise mod support
>game gets closer to release
>delete all previous mentions of mod support
>release game with bugs that have been on for years
>refuse to add any quality of life
These frickers are going to ruin homeworld 3.
They supported Kharak for 9 years after its release and they evidently understand how important HW3 is therefore everything will be alright with HW3.
Kharak was a rushed mess that takes about six hours to beat. Stupidly easy and couldn't even be saved by rushed dlc.
Kharak is small and lean, it plays well and bring up your railguns see if paper really beats rock.
As for HW3 it will be grand, with 0 bugs because i said so and it's what will happen.
should i play this game? i like space shit
If you can tune out the shitty cast, it's great.
pirate it
i don’t give any money to white hating, man hating homosexual devs
qrd?
The gameplay is a celebration of blue collar labor, so when the devs asked themselves how to construct narrative conflict and drama they didn't have the imagination to do anything but labor union politics with stock feminist characters suitable for a modern audience.
Anon is just a bot. The games politics is almost exclusively an extremely overbearing and thoughtless “unions good” storyline. The game isn’t worth nothing, but that shit should knock a few dollars off the price off the value even if you’re pro-union.
I'm French, i'm pro-union. The problem is that they're cucks. How do you think we've got so many vacations and 35h weeks: kidnap your boss, literally. Ah the 70s.
Instead of focusing on refining the gameplay or creating more content (eg, ships, tools, upgrades, etc) the devs did a HARD pivot into trying to add a story to give context to the game, but it was implemented so poorly that it comes off as the devs not giving a shit halfway through the EA development cycle. I'm not even talking about the pro-union messages, but the fact that it's just a bunch of forced, unskippable dialogue boxes on top on the HUD (not even cutscenes or anything) makes it feel really tacked on and not connected to the gameplay at all since despite being forced to listen to all of the dialogue, it doesn't impact a damn thing you're supposed to do.
Plus they never added an option to remove the timer but keep progression. Unlocking shit is fun but you can't do that in the sandbox mode.
The pro-union narrative is a little preachy and it takes a while for the ships to get complex enough to make actual tradeoffs during each shift, but it's incredibly relaxing if you just want to get really good at dismantling virtual ships and throwing the parts in the right bin.
Great core concept, execution is lacking. Dismantling ships is a lot of fun but there isn't enough hull variety. The story is fricking awful, and unskippable to boot. I muted it and alt tabbed to browse the internet rather than be subjected to yet another ten minutes of my co-worker rambling on about her sixteen moms and orbital genderfluid basketweaving aspirations or what the frick ever.
Worth it on sale.
It's too fricking expensive for some power wash simulator i space
2d version
Name?
ostranaut
Looks nice, I love interfaces that are meant to overwhelm the average person. Highfleet was extremely good, but I'd also like to know this game too
it goes full autist but it's early access shit made by the same devs as neoscavenger
>goth girl is no longer airtight
now that's my kind of game
>hey hey people
Really wish I could get my money back. Supported it in ~~*early access*~~ and instead they didn't add more ships, didn't have mod support, and attached some shit story to it to give it a designated "end".
Did they put any Homeworld ships in as a meme yet?
The devs missed a lot of opportunities. Still feels like an early access game, but at least I got it when it was cheap.
Even if they just allowed mods the game would be goty, but instead it's a forgotten indie in a sea of them
I genuinely adore the game. Its one of the most comfy games ive played in years. Nice to know Ganker can still go into a full sperg meltdown because of a youtuber though.
? I thought the gameplay was fine. The biggest issues were lack of depth and the hamfisted story.
>game is great on early access release
>wipe all progress three times between then and full release
>at no point did the gameplay get any better during that time
>still lacking in ship variety because they're locked to a small handful of components
>not even sure any of the promised features made it into the game
>except for a story that actively degrades the gameplay
What the frick went through these devs heads
The final version of actual ship scoring is much better than the original though. I don't know how in the FRICK you actually miss "salvage 56 computers" and yes that is a real number I have had on a civilian transport gecko.
Man, I forgot work orders were even a thing. They were optional and you'd max out your LYNX tokens really quickly back in that version.
You'd especially max them out quickly if you purposefully depressurized the entire ship into the processor to speedrun the shift
