Character creation is completely fricking irrelevant in an isometric arpg, MAYBE you can argue you don't like the voicelines/prefer another classes lines more, but let's be honest after farming for 50+ hours you're probably just listening to music or something in the background.
if you can buy mtx and shit, then character customization is really important because players want to have option how their characters look like. There is big market for that stuff

These insane people can spend thousand if not tens of thousand easily if you provide good space for them. Gender heavily plays out about enjoyment for these kind of players. For most, it doesn't matter, but I bet you if you could spend $100 to change gender of characters in poe, many would buy that.

The necromancer has a skill that can DoT cancer the entire screen. Sadly I think the "DoT" specialization will be mostly with her third specialization that's not unlocked yet.

Which skill? I was trying Lich with skills like Aura of Decay, Spirit Plague and Wandering Spirit. Aura was good but it drains your health so fast no matter how much health regen and poison resist you build

It's a nice middle ground between Diablo and PoE.
Chris is doing his best to ruin PoE since there's no real competition so hopefully LE and D4 stay good.
Its just not fun. Loot sucks. Why is it so hard to just have item drops and be done with all the needless corruption/distortion/frickation bs. Why do I need to endlessly pick crappy shards to recraft everything with rng and more rng. D1. Item drops, you pick the item and equip it. Simple.

It's the spec I'd like to try the most, not a big fan of the Lich form.
Same with the rogue class, want to try out the hawk spec.
