the difficulty curve for this game is that everything is either trivial or insanely hard. i found HoD and AoS to be the same way and is what i dislike about iga's castlevanias.

Nothing in SotN or any 'igavania' is insanely hard
post your no hit 200% thief runs then
>I have to make up troon categories when others call me out for sucking at the game
Sad! You are in the minority junior, this game is universally accepted as being piss easy
but i agree that its piss easy, but i felt that there where parts that could have a huge jump in difficulty. you people just see the game and saw the word hard written and freaked out like morons.
Is there a difficulty spike? Yes. Does it at any point get insanely hard like you said? No.
There is nothing in sotn that is hard, insanely hard, or even challenging. You just suck at games
Try the first game you dumb Black person. SotN is a walk in the park
the first game's easy too
well maybe not easy necessarily but definitely not as hard as people make it out to be
i got as far as the sewer level but that was when i was a moronic 13 year old
yeah tbf that level is a jump in difficulty at least
I KNEEL CHAD
>insanely hard
Like what? The only part I had a hard time with was the optional boss in the floating catacombs.
What's the hardest CV? Is it 3? Bloodlines? Chronicles? Dracula X?
CV3 NTSC-U
>NTSC-U
I think that's the one I played but what are tje differences with other versions?
Grant was nerfed (he always threw daggers as a standard attack instead of a stab in the JP game, no hearts consumed), enemies were buffed, player attack damage lowered
i can't get past the first boss in DX so im going with that.
probably chronicles or haunted castle or summit but idk i never played em
out of the ones i have played, honestly 4
sure the combat isn't too hard with the whip but the combat is rarely the hard part of castlevania anyway, it's the platforming and there's a fair bit of it in there
us castlevania 3 as well, idk how they expect you to get past the cyclops boss without a cross
sure he was kinda braindead in the jp release but still

is the JP version easier?
Yes. Enemies don't hit as hard and Grant has an infinite supply of throwing daggers as a basic attack instead of a melee dagger stab. There's other shit too but those are the big ones I can think of.
why up the difficulty then?
Same reason why it's usually done for most games going from the JP version to US: To help combat rentals.
Though I wonder how much of it was also a chance for the devs to fix shit they weren't happy with.
The cyclops is done the same way in both versions: Kneel on the platforms and attack him and jump when he comes to you.
