The difficulty in this game is fricking moronic ignoring the massively Train autism levels of menu schlop, the game is moronicly difficult your shit will NEVER land unless its on a team mate every enemies burst fire has perfect fricking accuracy, Rykard Minoris the first fricking area outside the prologue immediately assrapes with with a dozen dudes all with higher HP than you to immediately frick you, you have to play on weenie hut Jr difficulty for it to be playable IAM ON FRICKING NORMAL NONE of my shit lands EVER
here comes a power swing to one shot your entire fricking party THIS IS THE FIRST FRICKING MISSION?
Skill issue, go back to skyrim.
>Skill issue
Its a crpg Black person there is no skill just dice rolls and praying
Tell me you don't play games without telling me.
Please elaborate numbnuts without your autistic drivel
Skill isn't limited to mechanical skill you dumb idiot. Knowing how to position your party, what abilities to use and how to level them is a skill you fricking ape.
It tests your reading comprehension, analysis, and problem solving skills. It's like how they test apes by seeing if they match shapes to the proper hole. It's like you can show them and then they get it but it's on them to figure out on their own.
Why did I even reply op is just baiting to fill out the thread.
So sad we have no Skyrim sequel. I would.
Skill issue. I just spend all my turns on Argenta and have her blast like 15 homies a turn
Cause you're playing on weenie hut jr mode
How is a skill issue even fricking possible on a crpg? Its luck all fricking luck its turn based moron did you even play the game
NTA but I'm playing on Daring ("Normal") and never had any problems even when doing Rykad as the first planet.
Argenta?
I mean the first Chaos Marine fight is pretty fricking stupid in how it plays out and in it's 2ndary lose condition.
Every Officer you have reduces the Difficulty by 1 step, 2 if Cassia, so yes, you are playing on Easy.
This seems to be he way, especially for the latter chapters, which to me doesn’t seem to be the sign of a good game as it’s always the same play.
No doing this makes the game trivial on the hardest setting, but you can only do this one thing.
It fricking blows.
>Cassia extra turn to give Argenta 2 ap for rapid fire and bonus damage
>Cassia voice of command on Argenta (Argenta refunds 1 ap with a certain talent)
>Cassia point of interest spam to group everyone up, maybe do gaze skill if anyone gets to move before Argenta, maybe a debuff if you have an extra ap
>Argenta forget skill name but gives chance to go prone on impact damage, rapid fire with heavy bolter
>Any who survive or weren't grouped eat another burst cycle with either bonus damage or prone skill depending on situation
>Momentum boost skill
>Spend fricking FOREVER FRICKING ANIMATIONS DAMN single shotting whatever scrap is left
Thinking of just restarting and never using her once I have everyone else.
But I don't wanna do rykad or ever fricking do comorragh again.
Build Argenta around flamers and normal bolters if you value fun over "muh meta". Bonus points for making her a Bounty Hunter instead of AM.
At least BH has huge armor penetration. I hear it's almost necessary in the last acts, something about enemies with over 300% armor. BH gains a stacking +per bonus armor pen every time they do damage, so with rapid fire and a high ROF you could be stacking 100% in a single action.
The downside is that they lack the Ballistic Skill bonus, flat damage bonus, Heavy Weapons AP reduction, or extra attacks/movement from Wildfire and Reckless Rush. So you are trading a LOT of advantages including the ability to actually hit shit for that armor pen.
Eh, getting Argenta up to like 60-70 BS is good enough for burst firing, and for single shot there's always the Blessed Bolter Casing.
What I hate most about owlcat is how good they could be if they dropped the autism and jank.
They will never be good because their game engine is a loading screen simulator
Sanguinius would have been Iconoclast.
Lol just killed a 2k hp chaos dreadnought at level 6
Yeah its all luck moron
You're playing your hand too hard, there's no way you can even get off Footfall without being leveled past 6.
>2k hp chaos dreadnought at level 6
And where exactly did you meet a 2k hp dreadnought at level 6?
He had a date with your mom lmao gottem
>Abelard. Promote that man!
First act plays how a crpg should feel. Even on unfair. Then act 2 onwards requires you to be "that guy" at Dnd sessions and run only game breaking busted builds. The HP scaling is so off the charts, even on normal, there's no way it wasn't Owlcat's intention.
> Rykard Minoris
Exploit your evironment. You can train the group of enemies into a funnel and just blast them all with lightning when they are all bunched up.
Then just send Abelard in to Butcher Pete the survivors.
But yeah, I agree hit % is broken. I just use Tobox and stack Ballistics from whatever dump stat I know I will never use.
My first run, I got violated on Rykad Minoris. The mirror encounter underground, the old man and his family, it was a bad time. I'm getting better each successive try, though, and will one day achieve the perfect run. Funny thing is, I'm only on Daring, so I know the mid game is going to destroy me.
is this game like pathfinder where the people saying it's easy even on unfair are the ones abusing broken skill interactions and sleeping after every fight?
Kind of. Arch-Militant with extra turns will solo the game for you, but even if they nerf AM, Cassia has AoE no-save debuffs, CC and obscene talents.
Yes. Argenta or any arch-militant class with a heavy bolter abusing free moves from officer support class party members can snooze through the game. And the way it's set up its really the only way to beat unfair, or even hard. But there is some builds that can make it through on hard if you're lucky and lot of save scumming.
>And the way it's set up its really the only way to beat unfair, or even hard.
Not really, GS Pasqal + Sanctic Psyker can bump the party armor up to OP levels, a Arch Militant in heavy armor + Dependable talent will rapidly become immortal and means you'll win eventually.
Black personhomosexual, the game is the easiest one out of all owlcat games, after chapter 2 you turn into killing machine where nothing lives more than 3 turns. And this is without add turns abuse or even using archmilitant. If you are able to comprehend written information the game has no challenge.
>Argenta or any arch-militant class with a heavy bolter abusing free moves from officer support class party members can snooze through the game. And the way it's set up its really the only way to beat unfair, or even hard. But there is some builds that can make it through on hard if you're lucky and lot of save scumming.
This post right here sums up so many shitty ass, terribly balanced western games.
>my rogue trader is a noble officer that constantly gives people extra turns
extra turns lmao "gee I wonder if that is a good ability to take"
I haven't even played this game, waiting for bug fixes but I'm getting less and less interested while waiting.
I never say this, but you literally have a skill issue.
Cassia or Idira can and will completely break the game on pretty much any difficulty if you try even a little bit to build them as decent dps. I mean, shit, I suck at CRPGs. I'm fricking terrible, I never know how to build shit to be useful, I always forget to use buffs, and I'm STILL fricking annihilating shit. I know frick all about Warhammer and I just slapped together a melee pyro psyker purely on the basis of setting myself on fire sounding cool and I grabbed talents and skills that seemed like they would fit with little else to guide me. He fricking dominates everything.
You mean sneeze and bring in multiple Demons Idira? After I got not 1 but 2 demons at 5 warp she was benched.
Cassias always good but her OP in the first chapter is nerfed as willpower shoots up latter on.
Idira can be built to where she triggers 30 perils at once, boosting her powers by insane enough amounts to kill whatever she summons, to my understanding. I've never done it, and it's a risky playstyle, but very rewarding from what I've read here.
>You mean sneeze and bring in multiple Demons Idira?
It's part of her charm.
I was sad to lose my Haitian racial cartoon stereotype. She was very amusing.
Abusing broken game mechanics doesnt make you skillfull you fricking moron
And which mechanics, specifically, are broken you disingenuous twat?
Yeah? He knows.
Dude spent like half a paragraph explaining how he's an incompetent shitter at CRPGs.
If anyone keeps Idira after she gets drunk and summons twenty demons and her old boss into my fricking shit they are just idiots.
The game really wants you to kill off most of your companions just based on their own choices.
I mean who hasn’t made this EXACT same mistake.
I only summoned three succubuses and a dozen zombies directly into my captains quarters.
Totally different scenario
That just sounds like a good time really.
Is there anything better than watching three daemonettes tear Yrliet apart and forcing the deldar to watch from a cuck cage knowing he's next?
I'm a heretic myself. I've got a daemon engine and and building a daemon sword. Idira summoning a few warp spawn hardly seems unforgivable in comparison.
>The game really wants you to kill off most of your companions just based on their own choices.
The best part of the story for me was chapter 4 start when everyone drags the elf autist to you and begs you to kill her.
>Give her to the inquisition after pretending to be on her side
>No reaction whatsoever, Heinrix just knocks her out
>Also can't do the same with Marazhai, you have to pick the option later to sell him out, and agian, no reaction from him
So lame, I wanted something like pic related
>and agian, no reaction from him
he'd probably be thrilled to get aquainted with inquisition's torture methods. Although jimi would probably just boil him alive and eat the soup
I also wanted an elaborate torture sequence or some nice options of lifetime imprisonment or changing her into a combat servitor that would trigger traps. But I do appreciate the comedy of that scene.
ngl this was the best way to end Camellia's romance. I more or less played a Righteous (and totally not actually evil) knight except when she was around, we slaughtered, we fricked, my degenerate goddess love it all.
Then it was her turn, she seemed surprised.
why is there a horse there?
Are you horsephobic?
Man that part broke me lmao. Still on Act 4, but wanted to drag Yrliet through the game to see all the content, but every single fricking companion has been grilling me non-stop, everytime I keep her around. Until yeah that part where literally all my favorite companions begs to kill her. Literally had no logical reason to not kill her, besides I want to see her ending.
Still feel a little bad but frick man she's utterly useless. Couldn't see the Slaaneshi cult on Janus, betrayed us just bruh. I'm fricking HOPING her ending is a nothing burger and is more autistic elf shit, and doesn't help the imperium in anyway whatsoever.
>tries to help you deal with Alaitoc
>breaks her spirit stone
I didn't kill her for one simple reason, killing her would be too good for her. GOing Heretic was worthwhile because you can sacrifice her soul to slaanesh.
It's funny how the OG party line up
Cassia, Abelard, Idira, Argenta, and Pasqal can carry you through the whole game.
>At 3rd Chapter final boss
>Lose half my squad the first turn
>2 Boats arrive with 6 men, must be one of those fights where support comes in
>Boats are filled with Enemies, arrive every 2 turns
>Ok two turrets are near by, this must be a hack the turrets fight
>Not hackable, turrets turn on you first time boss injured
Fricking Owlcat!
Have your party wait by the stairs, send your tank to go trigger the talk with the eldar.
My 3rd chapter final boss ended with argenta raping everything before anyone moved. Half of the reason I stopped playing.
I sure wish Argenta would rape me and raise righteous God emporer fearing children with me.
For some reason the turrets didn't activate for me, but I still only cleared the fight due to ulfar reviving himself in the fight and getting it done alone
huh, I found it rather easy so far, but maybe it's because of our line up? (playing coop)
my rogue trader is a noble officer that constantly gives people extra turns to shoot once
we have a sniper criminal gangleader who deals insane damage (something like 50-79 per shot). hes an operative
a melee pyromancer psyker whos a bit of a porcupine tank i.e. hurt him and he automatically hurts you back, also damn resistent to plasma melta and lasgun fire
sororita (i find her the weakest), i.e. soldier
techpriest as officer who mostly buffs, analysis enemies and exploits weaknesses
last one is either abelard or the inquis guy, both melee warriors
so
1 officer
2 operatives
2 warriors
1 soldier
and its super easy for us so far. the officer really helps, though. most damage is done by the warriors and the sniper operative. the sororita often misses and even if she hits, she doesnt really hit that hard. we only use her for style, and the techpriest is still waiting to find a plasmagun.
officer rarely even shoots, often uses all her AP to pimp the rest
I've heard good things about pyro warriors. Could possibly be even stronger if you were unsanctioned and stacking peril + PR damage boosts.
You get a six person party in co-op?
Why do EVERY Owlcat game has a woman as a tank?
That blonde gal in Kingmaker, the sheboon paladin in WotR and the sororita you mentioned in RT.
Also, is it even more pozed than WotR?
Abelard is the tank in RT though
Argenta is your major damage dealer
What are you smoking? None of the women in RT should be a tank.
Argenta should be a ranged shooting monster.
Cassia should be a massive damage spellcaster.
Idria should be a general-purpose psyker that is left behind on the ship because she can peril on turn one.
Yrliet is completely made to be a sniper, even if you try to build other options.
Just give Argenta dual pistols and the talent that lets her parry with pistols.
>that is left behind on the ship because she can peril on turn one.
Wow a psyker that gets psy rating on her every action? COOL!
I respect that, and I also use it frequently when I put on her leash and take her for a walk, but I have seen her damage allies on casting a buff, followed by knocking herself out and summoning a daemon instead of healing said ally, all on turn 1.
If I need to be serious, that girl stays on the ship. There is a greater-that-zero chance that she loses the battle for me based on random chance.
The fact that she can cause massive issues before the warp barrier hits a threshold means she is the worst psyker to me, by a large margin.
>Also I don't expect you to see this, since it's been five and a half hours, but I gotta say my piece.
>one measely demon
>massive issues
sounds to me like you're a little b***h
When I'm ambushed, surrounded, and not only she knocks herself out, but my clumped up group all get lit on fire by the area melee of a Horror that is now acting on her initiative, I am allowed to think that Idria is a fricking dumb bawd for not knowing how to literally use her brain.
>Turn 1
>Pasqel signifies areas, gets into cover, misses a plasma shot, and debuffs a big guy
>Idria right after
>Someone is dead, everyone else is on fire and at 3/4ths health, and the ranged units cannot shoot without getting an attack of opportunity on them, which makes another AoE
I don't care that I won the battle by the skin of my teeth with two people alive. That was some utter horseshit.
Seen. Forgot I even commented tho.
I like pozzed as there’s a real lulz in watching poltards slowly go more insane. Sadly this game is not.
ok dude
Seelah is a shit tier tank, I always make a quarterstaff master monk.
>get Jae her trade document
>have an option now to tell her I'll get her a merchants certificate despite her never asking for one
>picking it doesn't give a quest and I can't bring it up to anybody on dargonus
is this a bug?
If you have to ask…
It was mildly challenging really early on but by the time I fought the Chaos Astartes at the end of Act 1 I was facerolling everything.
>he's having trouble on journalist difficulty
sasuga, bg3 baby
Literally found act1 of bg3 harder than rogue traders act 1
You're too much
I’m off to do opioids with Yuppies. Happy New Years you beautiful bastards.
Chapter 3 killed my enjoyment of the game, plus the abundance of loading screens. Thanks Unity!
currently experiencing that myself. I can't even get past the first fight. it's ridiculous.
>the game is moronicly difficult your shit will NEVER land
You're talking about Argenta, right?
Her starting bolter is trash. It has a faster fire rate for bursts, but its got a whopping 40 recoil compared to the standard bolter's 25 and does less damage. Also, remember to bring Pasqual if you want to do any kind of ranged damage, because his Machine Spirit Communion will reduce your recoil even further.
Recoil is the reason why you guys who complain about missing all the time are missing most of your shots on bursts. Also, the whole MO of the Operative class (Pasqal and Idira) is to make it easier for your damage dealers to hit their targets. Remember, analyze and expose weakness.
Some recoil is good on the higher rate weapons like the Heavy Bolter and Autogun just so you can hit enemies outside the center line with your 16+ shots.
Also, if you want to use bolters, Bolt Weapon Expert is an absolute must pickup. The extra 10% armor penetration is pretty huge for bolters.
This is why Grand Strategist Pasqal is great. Drop Machin Spirit Communion and now the party recoil is gone, most enemies have shit recoil, and the nearby tough enemy is marked for death. Plus Tactical Knowledge for party wide armor.
Cassia as Grand Strategist is great too, since it gives her a turn to unleash her massive AOE stuns and damage burst, or she can give another character a free early turn.
>Remember, analyze and expose weakness
I hate this shit so much. You have to manually apply same skills to every new enemy over and over in every combat again and again and AGAIN. AND AGAIN.
>Lord captain, demons have once again invaded the ship during a jump
>somehow the crew completely destroys every crate of chainmail and lasguns I give them if I make them take care of it
>If I go down I can just set up a firing line and not take a single point of damage
Incursions fricking suck. The only thing worse about traveling is the wavy paths on the map are a nightmare to actually fricking read.
Bro, your daemon engine?
I should toss you out an airlock for even suggesting the twisted mechanisms of the ruinous powers
You should, but you just click an option and it makes the possessed go away. the benefits of heresy!
Agreed. Feels like the warp point thing is screwy and having an encounter every single jump is also annoying. On the flipside there's a lot of themed fights which is neat at least.
My homie.
You can permanently reduce the danger of a warp route by expending navigator insight.
Click on a star system, then shift your gaze slightly upwards to the colored buttons.
You can also create entirely new warp routes through this method, though it is a costly process.
>40k autist cant handle his autistic hobby simulator
oh no no no
Why do people like the voxmistress so much anyway? I can understand the argenta, the fish, even Yrliet and Jae. But why the voxmistress?
she is a product of her environment and not once does she ever break or complain and is very polite literally the perfect tradwife in this shithole of a galaxy
>even the fat quartermaster guy begrudgingly acknowledges that he can't fault her loyalty or skill
she is very cute. i love her
game is piss easy, actually
what the frick is a good rotation for the space marine dude?
I keep trying to use both his bolter pistol and melee to make use of his talents but shit doesnt work half the time and is totally useless when it does
I dont wanna just give him a heavy bolter and have him shoot 3 times a turn because that's what argenta already does and I wanted to try something else
Also his charge ability never fricking works? His knife that says another attack on kill doesnt work either
He doesn't lose movement for attacking, so bolter burst an enemy, run and gun, shoot someone in the head, walk him in front of an enemy and stab them with his knife/axe. Then use wildfire and aoe attack everyone nearby with his axe. Use the reckless charge or whatever the arch militant ability is called if you run out of movement or need to double your versatility stacks. You can use this to make wildifre free early after you finish your attack rotation.
Sounds like this genre is not for you, Owlcat games tend to be laughably easy due to their hilariously incompetent encounter design.
>baby's first proper crpg
Skill issue
It's a poorly rated game for reason. No idea why people still trick themselves into thinking Warhammer = Quality. There has never been a good Warhammer game.
>poorly rated
>mostly Positive (74% of 6,994) ALL TIME
What the frick do you mean?
he's the kind of moron who think that if the game doesn't get 10/10 across the board then it's a blunder
That’s everyone on Ganker
Youre replying to a 7 hour old post
Learn to use Cassia
She is the most busted party member
Are you supposed to get Yrliet back immediately in ch 3? She's not showing up at all
depending on who you bring. you usually either get argenta or yrliet first. if she doesn't show up now she shows up later.
beginning was challenging kind of but now cassia just one shots everything and it's kinda sucking out the fun of the game
does this game have any sexy female characters? can you bone them?
no, only sexy men
Here you go
I was told that you can't bone the sororita
you can only frick 1 character in that pic
Ghost hand holding is basically sex.
cope
You will never have aeldari sex
In the same run, you mean, because Cass gets jealous of the eldussy.
no i mean in general
You asked for sexy women, not women you can sex.
I asked if you could bone them and the sister is the only one that looks even a little sexy.
>He doesn't want to frick a fish
Skill issue
Can't be sexier than femRT, the biggest bawd of the expanse
Where were you when you realized that Jae was the best romance for men?
I'll get back to you if the realization ever comes.
I like Jae's romance. Especially the part where she gives you a pet that sits on the bridge on stares menacingly at the Vox Master. Poor Vigdis.
>Frick her just to show the entire ship my skills in bed
>Get the pet
>Proceed to throw her off the ship
Every time.
Shereen why 🙁
She's a liar and a prostitute, she does have the best ending of the women but not in my playthroughs.
Not that guy. But I killed her the instant I found out she was a deserter.
I also gave the unsactioned Black person to the inquisition.
Because you scratched your initials into my bedpost.
that was cute
>That bedpost was worth more than the population of two of the lower levels Jae! Do you even realise the amount of ecological damage i had to do to that populated planet just to get the lumbering rights to get it made?
>she just takes her top off and shows you her boobs in response
What do?
>Abelard make sure my pet is well fed, while i show Jae the inside and subsequent outside of the airlock. Also see if we have a good taxedermist on staff and if not then plot a new course.
I love my cute fishfu
Reminder: as long as you keep Cassia in love with you, you'll never stop loving her. Thanks to her powers.
Why would I ever stop loving her?
Because if she stops loving you her powers will make you stop loving her as well.
>struggling on normal
what the frick
like seriously
what the frick
how?
Peak performance is a funny power/
>Ignore strength all game
>HP becomes strength
>Cassia buffs your toughness and will
>Even more strength
>Unsanctioned Biomancer self buffs strength and toughness with boosted Will
>Gets even more strength.
If a psychotic zealot with the gun wasn't the most op shit in the game, this would be ridiculous.
you need to stack buffs and debuffs moron you can't just shoot normally in this game
the fact you couldn't even figure this out while playing makes me think you should put the game on weenie hut jr difficulty
What's to get about this game anyway?
>Pasqal turn one Communion + Mastar Tactician and Joint Study + Shoot
>Cassia either Navigator buff, Officer spam, or Gaze attack stuns enemies.
>Yrliet scans, exposes, then killing edges any non-mook enemy.
>Idira Lightning or psychic screams the enemies, exposes a tough enemy, party wide buffs.
>Argenta Mows down the mooks.
Then you can have your Rogue Trader doing whatever. Officer spam is unnecessary.
>Cassia one-shotting
how? She's extremely useful for buffing, extra turns and throwing enemies around the battlefield, but her damage is fairly weak
>Role play as Cain
>Make another character as Jurgen
Abelard has melta proficiency, just saying
I can only afford 1 game for the new year. Rt or bg3?
BG3. Wait a couple months for RT to be finished.
Neither. wait for definitive editions on both of them
Abelard, prepare my nuggies.
do we have any pictures of heavily mutated 40k Navigators?
I will still love Cassia even after she becomes bald and gets massive fricking hands
okay not really, but kind of yes.
I hear there's some shit that'll be unavailable if the game isn't bought now. what is it? what do?
There's a few items in a safe in the captain's quarters after you finish the prologue that are strong during act 1 but quickly get outscaled.
So anyone got the post-questline Idira portrait?
I didn't even get the Idira questline, it just didn't bother to fire for me.
And no, I didn't even have Argenta shoot her.
Did you took her to the dark city?
No
So Theodora was an heretic or just got royally frick for helping the inquisition?
Both
What's the name of the ost that sounds when Argenta confesses in act 3?
The game really becomes a lot more sloppy and less polished the further you get.
>Go to footfall in Act 4 and hear it's under Inquisitorial lockdown
>Take Ylriet and Marazai with me for shits and giggles
>Nobody acknowledges them
>Not even the dumb b***h rp'ing as an inquisitor and sentencing everyone to death for not buttoning up their shirts
Bg3 is the better game with way more interactivity despite its "wokeness"
bg3's interactivity also goes out the window after act 1
A lot of BG3s interactivity is technically fake, still works for the plebs though.
I'm pretty sure the dev cycle got fricked up by GW stepping in and forcing major rewrites to remove stuff.
and yet they didn't remove nomos, the most moronic part of the plot. The sheer incompetence...
you misspelled best
Worst crime is how after 1st visit to footfall there is no more Abelard announce us options
>Nobody acknowledges them
>yrliet seethes about the slaughter, argenta agrees with her
>marazhai urges you to taste the brains too, you can actually do it while he creams his pants
>shit and giggles if both yrliet and marazhai are in the group when you do jae's quest
Lies, deception
Nothing you said contradicts what I said. They acknowledge what's happening around them but nobody around them acknowledges them despite being on a witch hunt. Incendia doesn't mind you running around with a fricking Deldar and nobody from the Kasballica mission is interested in either of them despite being xenos tech traders.
When preparing the pub for the assault everyone is also convinced by a single skill check.
>"This is suicide! No fricking way I'm staying here. Everyone who values their life should come with me!"
>"[Persusaion -50] lol coward"
>"You know what? You're right! We're goin down with the ship baby!"
It's rushed.
That's obviously not what he meant moron
Is this your first Owlcat game? They're legitimately the most incompetent studio in the CRPG world.
I only played around 20 hours of Kingmaker before so, kind of.
Also not sure if I agree with that. Tyranny and Pillars 1 felt much more rushed and like wasted potential to me than Rogue Trader has so far.
>Rogue Trader has so far
first two chapter of rt are very good, lack of reactivity notwithstanding. even chapter 3 is not bad for all intents and purposes, but it completely falls apart after that. it wasn't that bad in kingmaker and wotr, so I don't know what the frick happened here
Dunno. I feel like act 4 of RT are basically the same shit as wotr's act 5. It's not even a matter of polishing, they're both fundamentally flawed in terms of pacing and overall design. All locations and quests they make for them feel like separate, not interconnected zones, there's no main thread that connects it all whatsoever. Surreal as frick, in a bad way.
I didn't feel that way in KM, despite of v1.0 bugs, and later, when the game was (mostly) finished.
did you play 3 years of patches kingmaker or launch kingmaker because they're extremely different
someone give me a qrd of the playable characters in this game. I know of the navigator, the space elf, the sister of battle, and the space furry. I think there's also a techpriest or something? what else can you get?
https://roguetrader.wiki.fextralife.com/Companions
wow this is fricking gay why can't I get a dark eldar succubus waifu?
because you a moronic waifu homosexual and your tears only make everyone hard
Projecting a little bit of your homosexualry there
>le projection
a go-to answer for someone who's seething and has no counter argument. cry some more waifu homosexual
Why else would you start talking about having your wiener hard? I'm not him btw I don't even like deldar
The more i learn about this game the worse it looks.
I really hate hypetards.
the companions are genuinely great
not a single one I actively dislike, yrliet being the closest. The rest are all fun to have in you party and are entertaining
Wheres my cron companion?
Wheres my nid companion?
Wheres my ork companion?
Youre telling me a rt can have a fricking soulless troon deldar companion but not a fearless ork? Frick outta here with this absolute heretical dogshit.
rogue traders or people with similar levels of power have used deldar before in 40k, see duke severus from the severan dominate
But not orks? The one race with no fear of death, that become bigger, stronger and smarter the more combat they see?
I dont want this pozzed gw shit
You can't really make deals with orks that go beyond "have a ton of shinny shootas and go frick that guy up, he also has a loot of shootas" and still you risk them betraying you just to get more fight.
Orks are not rational.
Orks are pretty common retainers for RTs and freebootahs never say no to mercenary work. They like being paid in slaves, fuel and weapons.
That's asking for trouble, the moment the ork either grows too large or sees the RT or anyone in the retinue as a good fight that fricker will pounce to have some fun.
Merc work and throwing them at shit is the best you can do with them still.
Orks follow the biggest and baddest.
If you remain the biggest and baddest, theres nothing to worry about.
If youre in a position to lose, im sure the orks youd use would be dead by that point. Who'd leave their best cannon fodder for last?
Ah, but you see, orks are moronic.
One moment you are the leader because you the baddest and biggest, next moment he decides it would be good fun to go for a fight with you. And any unaugmented human is going to get fricked most of the times against an ork
Get em drunk
Put a bomb in them
Blow it if they do naughty things
Simple. You vould even tell the other orks youre so powerful you can blow their heads up at will and being so dumb theyd believe it.
Wrong, the tabletop even has three unique classes for Ork characters, they're completely fine in an RT party.
>paying
Being in the presence of my illustrious person is payment enough. or it can get a bolter round to the head. That works for me as well
But Dark Eldar, the race of excess and no selfcontrol are trustworthy?
Better the devil you know, in this case orks. Like you said, just point an ork in a direction and let him go. No fear of having to watch your back. Orks for the majority frown upon sneakiness.
Deldar are rational, even if not trustworthy. Making a beneficial deal with them is bound to make them less of a problem for a time, even if you need to keep them on a short leash.
Orks don't fricking care, and what do you care if he won't backstab you? Its a half ton slab of muscle and mek parts.
The only good ork is a dead ork
No alien is trustworthy, and no partnership with a xeno is long term.
Groot is pretty trustworthy. They only ask for flesh
Yet the rt has 2. Wtf man, gimme my fricking ork.
Now that you mention it, there is a conspicuous lack of Orks in the Kronos expanse.
I can only assume they are all locked up in the Deldar mushroom milking dungeons.

There is no universe where such an arrangement ends well.
You have no place levelling accusations at others.
Can't psykers nullify the hive minds effect if there arent any synapse creatures in the vicinity? Im sure an RT with a daemon engine could easily find a solution.
The solution is full auto ectoplasm shots into the face

So I'm in chapter 4 and all my colony upgrades are instant now. Is this normal? I came out of commoragh with everything at Stage 3 and then instantly finished Stage 5 on all of them without jumping to another planet once.
Yes. When a stat that speeds up projects hits 10 they're building instantly. Not a bug
Weird. I spent 2 hours just developing colonies, reading events, buying up all the shit from the different factions because the final stages of developement gave me 20k experience for all the factions and pushing my profit factor from 60 to 190. It's a really fricked up power spike and it seems like the colony management part of the game is over now unless they give me a couple new ones before the end.

How do I toybox this shit out
What a moron. Reload
I already did Owlcat employee, now fix your game. If you try to equip it and Heinrix is on the party he takes it away, you know what that means? That it shouldn't be equipped, because he never gives you the chance
I assume it's not gamebreaking enough to be fixed asap
Feels good to be an Iconochad.

>HOW COME YOU DONT KILL THE XENO SHE BETRAYED US
1. she didnt betray us, she was just dumb. Again, how many times do I have to repeat you dumbfricks, she did not betray us, she just said "go here" without knowing it would be an ambush. Also, how come you dont have the same level of seething for the literal murderous drow psychopath that's also on the ship?
2. YOU LITERALLY KILLED THEODORA SO SHUT THE FRICK UP
3. you are a worthless little inquisition b***h who thinks he's so smart but does nothing to help anybody, shut the frick up

reddit post
>she didnt betray us, she was just dumb
She did betray us, she was aware of the waiting ambush, and she was dumb for thinking the dark eldar wouldn't stab her in the back, but her reasons for betrayal were understandable because the RT has a fragment of her Craftworld in his quarters. She legitimately thinks at that point that the RT was responsible for the death of her people, and takes him to the ambush thinking it will get her some answers.
Nta but no, she doesn't know there's an ambush, she thinks Marazhai might troll her and lead her to a ship full of dead Eldar or something. It's dumb but not the same as if she literally sold you out.
Females really like this guy. Guess they're as weak to the elf as we are.
not only that but that are also weak to abusive relationships
Let's be honest. If Marazhai was a female the whole thread would already be filled with "my sexo deldar wife can't be this cute" and coom arts
he's not that bad for a drukhari. certainly a more pleasant company than yrliet when he's not going on about muh pain
People lust after the vox mistress, never underestimate the thirst of men
she is cute
Yes, but then I would be joking about RTs getting sodomized by a female elf.

Do women really?
>"females"
Lmfao.
yes, females don't exist. it's all just a huge con

"Female" gamers are all men.
Females dabble in fotm shit.

Girls maybe, but not women. Its too immature for them and youd know this if youd ever spoken to a woman outside the dog you call mom.
i think I caught virginity from your post
You need yo put your dick in someone first anon. Having one inside you doesnt count, no matter what daddy told you.
oh good god - triple virginity
>he doesn't know
there are women here including the Marazhai fangirls
Having a hole and no hose to piss out of doesnt make one female.
>he sees troons everywhere
Zoomer brainrot, trannies are freaks that are barely a percentage of the population, they are just astroturfed by the media + diversity hire programs, plus being loud and obnoxious in of themselves. Stop seeing trannies everywhere, they're not this isn't pisscord.
>including the Marazhai fangirls
i've only seen jimistacies
You have seen neither, just homosexuals wanting to frick men.
this guy and the homosexual vampire from BG3. chicks dig awful characters
huh
interesting because one of my man criticisms is there's a load of build autism, but the game is too easy so it don't really matter. i'm pretty sure you could close your eyes and and randomly hit buttons at level up and still have no problem outside the hardest difficulty.
i'm just gonna go with Occam's razor. the simplest answer is OP is moronic,
>play on story mode because I don't understand how to build a character yet
>gameplay becomes boring but each encounter still takes longer than an Iron Warriors shooting phase, even with turn speed-ups
>characters are probably all fricked, so turning difficulty up is probably a terrible idea
>don't want to restart because it'd take fricking ages to make my progress up
Abelard, fetch me my noose.
you can't ruin a character in this game. all builds are viable. each archetype lets you choose 3 skills in addition to 1 or 2 skill that it gives you as signatures. decide which skills sound more fun to you and then just take talents that improve those. every skill has a talents that make it more effective
>half the perks don't work
ah yes the joy of "learning"
>>half the perks don't work
Name 5
>Name 5
the entire game. i just lost the ability to trade on the voidship
what does that have to do with half the perks not working? are you trying to move goalposts, you lying homosexual?
pattern of behaviour of shit not working in the game
So you can't name 5 talents that don't work, huh. I accept you concession
nobody knows the system before starting
learning is the enjoyable part
you try things, you discover, you build, it works, it doesnt, you fix, you adapt, you learn from lessons
by skipping that part entirely out of cowardice you robbed yourself of a large part of what the game gives
stop being a zoomer afraid of everything
So is respeccing the space yiffer into full warrior from scratch a good idea?
No.
No, Soldier AM even do melee fighters better than warriors. They even tank better with dependable too (Cautious Stance Or even no stance already ensures their dodge and parry is superior) There's really no reason to go warrior except early game tanking.
That said, Ulfar could have an interesting niche as a warrior vanguard for the sole purpose of acting as a movable 2x2 cover for your ranged characters that threatens in melee.
frick man they rushed this game so bad, literally no character has any reaction to you having a chaos space marine companion if you go the heretic route
Nobody can even see him
They should've make heretical route a free update or something.
We knew they were rushing the moment they dropped the December release date.
We knew there was internal frick ups happening since they released the co-op reveal.
It is blatantly obvious that the season pass is cut content that will be restored to the game. MAYBE the companions are complete additional content, but the ship stuff attached to the dlc is so obviously cut content because the ship side of the game is completely bare bones.
>Rykard Minoris
>Too hard
Really?
And you are playing on Normal?
Do you mind telling us what your party composition is and generally how you've built them?
Maybe he ignored cover and just ran everyone out into the open?
It's Minoris, his party comp is: the only companions you have available at that point.
>It's Minoris, his party comp is: the only companions you have available at that point.
Maybe he's removing companions from his party without realizing or something equally fixable.
Generally speaking, you can't really create totally ineffectual builds either, and definitely not so early on.
There's no reasonable way that anyone with even passing familiarity with RPGs should be getting stuck at Rykard Minoris.
>his party comp is: the only companions you have available at that point.
Literally any fricking composition you can think of. You can hire goons right off the bat.
>Literally any fricking composition you can think of. You can hire goons right off the bat.
Anon didn't mention being a 0 PF moron and seems like a noob who likely doesn't even know how to create mercenaries.
Why would I assume he has mercs?
Skill issue. I'm playing on "hard" (enemies deal 100% damage etc difficulty). I've had diffuculties only in a handful of fights. Worst case scenario, half of my team is down, but I'm still beating the enemy.
Officers are very strong. My only gripe is I made my PC an officer psycker and I don't get much use out of the psycker side. Gonna reroll PC, Pasqual and Argenta and see if I can't make something cool. All of them feel gimped.
Try warrior pyromancer, it takes some abilities but eventually you'll be a fricker.
Argenta is Cass tier broken, give her everything involving rate of fire and burst attacks, give her the heavy bolter and she will carry you. I end most fights on turn 1 with her. Pray, rapid fire, focused fire, burst attack. Officer cass next turn buff and free turn. Burst fire. Enough momentum to ult, Cass gives Argenta a free turn with no limits. Rapid fire, focused fire, burst again, run and gun, burst again. Anything left you can wipe out.
Cass you could give infinite IN MY SIGHT but she is still the best buffer and damage dealer, combined with the -1 veil per ability use she combos incredibly with spookers. Light Within, officer buff, free turn, in my sight, in my sight again if you have that one talent that lightly damages you. If you have another officer you can ult on Cass too to make her spam in my sight, there is one talent that increases the damage of repeat use of abilities on targets. That will result in 700-800 damage in my sights. If she has a lot of AP that can be like x7 casts of it in one round.
Pasqual has his own unique talents you can pick, the plasma and BS related ones all feed off int, just keep giving him in and you'll be shooting 1K+ damage burst plasma shots. Its apebrained.
The eldar is just plain good, combined with assassin and an early item that gives her a free attack if she kills someone in her first round she can usually kill 3 people without buffs in turn one.
Rest of the team are filler/support rolls. Not worth getting into force weapons for psykers sadly, Abelard is apex tank. Marzipan and Jae are useless.
I keep Jae around as a skill-monkey.
Replacing all of her INT skills with FEL means she covers just about every base in the game, barring perception, athletics, and carouse.
And then, occasionally, the game forgets you are supposed to use your allies' skills for a check.
I have seen Jae suggest a course of action, bring her picture up, highlight her, and it still tells me I am using my trader's 40 skillpoints, in a Lore skill that she has 130 points in.
Thanks for the tips, anon. I'll try it out.
>give her the heavy bolter and she will carry you.
I thought only Space Marines and vehicles could use heavy bolters, or do Bolter b***hes get special heavy bolter patterns?
In RT, anyone with Bolter Profficiency (talent anyone can take with no prereqs) and the minimum strength requirement (reduced substantially with heavy weapon profficiency) can use a heavy bolter.
Heavy Stubber is better though.
Sounds dumb.
Sisters of Battle had heavy bolter-equipped sisters for as long as they existed as an army.
Are they Godwyn pattern heavies like their normal bolters then?
Don't think they've ever been named.
Disappointing.
Finally finished it, final battle was a little easy and the endings felt pretty abrupt, but I'm glad I finished it. Was surprised at some of the endings, like Pasqal going full crazy, Yrliet becoming a corsair and Marazhai sending Abelard his granddaughter's head lmao
You can avoid Pasqal doing that by making him reject all the stuff in his quest. Marazhai outcome might be tied to not being able to get the proper flags for a good outcome because they're bugged (or gated behind romance possibly).
What's even a "good" outcome for Marazhai? He didn't seem to have to make a choice or anything, he just showed up, killed the guys who were after him, and that's that
>What's even a "good" outcome for Marazhai?
becoming a free for all pirate or becoming a clown
It's apparently possible to get him to become Archon which you can't so because his quest to meet the Tempest remnants is bugged. Also people found that there are some flags for things he likes that might overlap with romance-related flags and lead to a better endings, however those are also bugged as for example an important one is agreeing to let him trap Yremeryss' soul somehow but that dialogue only shows up if you have specific people in your party so you can miss it completely.
Do mercenaries engage with the alignment system at all or are they just permanently locked out of alignment gear?
You can choose their alignment at creation but no npc will be rank 2+
do companions increase their rank?
No but Idira can gain ranks in Iconoclast and Dogmatic.
Does she need to be brought to chapter 3? I got nothing for her.
The game tracks her "Humanity" vs "Effectiveness" depending on how you respond to her while she warns you of the future. So it kind of requires taking her onto your adventures.
Too asplody so I didn't use her.
So we all agree that the Rogue Trader is canonically a latent Psyker and may awaken or be a full blown Psyker at the player's discretion right?
no? that never happens unless you choose to literally be a psyker
Only the Rogue Trader can choose to become an Unsanctioned Psyker. Multiple times ingame your RT is shown to be more psychically sensitive than the average Imperial.
Yrliet and Cassia's scenes being a good example of this, though Comorragh had some hints of it as well.
doesn't every human beside blanks have the capability to turn into a psyker?
No, most human have very low to none existence psychic power.
You can be a pysker and not know it, but non-psykers cannot become psykers.
It does happen sometimes, but it's very rare and treated like a curse. it's like x-men where you wake up and realize you have the mutant power of turning into a monster that murderfricks everyone around you.
the option is there so that whiny morons don't throw hissy fits. it has nothing to do with muh canon
I'm playing on unfair and yeah I dunno it's just a drag.
- fights take forever, I'm tempted to just go all in on ranged CC and AOE
- allied NPCs walking into environment damage or just mag dumping into the back of my head, crippling or killing my characters
- literal bugs like "Hahah you gave your grenadier a cape that makes it so your allies can't get hurt by their grenades? Neither can the enemies now lmao"
Is there a good sword and pistol duelist build?
>fights take forever
If you haven't go into the options and make the turn up speed always on instead of on demand. Fights are stupid fast except for space ones.
i swear there was a grenade talent in the soldier or warrior tree but now i cant find it
no im not talking about the common grenade talent
yes I know there's one in the tactician tree
im trying to plan a grenade build for fun
Grenadier appeared on the soldier list with the same exact effect as the common one.
May have been patched out
so is it playable past act 3 without using toybox now?
nope
Yes in the most pedantic, technical way possible.
Not a great experience.
Just got to act 3 and people weren't kidding when they called it torture porn, frick this is miserable.
It's pretty easy
>know that the game is barely playable
>already had one run
>shitton of games in backlog
>can't play any of them because RT lives in my head rent free for a month straight
FUUUUUUUUUCK why are owlcat games are so addicting even when they're shit
I can't even start a new run since I know there's no point in doing so till all dlcs are out, besides I already saw pretty much everything
same here. i've reched the end of act 3 and put the game away until they fix it, but i can't help but think about finishing it or starting again. I don't care how good or bad it is. It's just fun
>Give argenta heavy bolter
>Buff rof and area attacks
>shit out 18 bolter shots at 30-40 damage each
Then you find the bolter trinket and auto hit every single shot and the heroic action becomes god tier.
Maybe (you) are shit.
I looked at the equipment you can get in this game and it seems pretty lame. the coolest weapon you can find is a heat lance. I thought rogue traders were supposed to be able to get all of the cool shit. why can't I get a ion blaster or a railgun from a space dwarf or a robot suit from a space communist?
>space communist
Holy lorelet
you can get items ranging from ancient force swords all the way to halo devices
Because you are not in that region of the galaxy
Dorfs are in the center, blueberries in the east and you are in the northwest (I think)
Is this game still buggy?
Maybe
First owlcat game? Come back in at least 2 months.
Typical owlcat 'balance'
do i really need to let marazhai kill his sister? sounds like a major chore
You won't have a choice. She's the final boss of act 3 regardless
that's not what i asked. does he need to be the one to kill her?
no, he kills her in a cutscene after the fight
This is stupid, you should be able to redeem and sexo her, she cute.
They're both cute, and you're both cute.
>Pasqal answers a vox-call at 3am
>A tipsy sounding Jae says as the Fem RT is heard giggling drunkenly in the background
>hey Pasqy-boy can we borrow your Mechanicus Penetratus
>sounds of slapping and girlish laughter
>vox-call snaps shut
>Argenta answers a vox-call at 4am
>Fem RT announces solemnly
>Argenta I have discovered a heresy in Jaes nether realm
>breaking glass and laughter heard in background
>vox-call snaps shut
>tfw Cassia's OC power is an actual basic b***h Diviner ability for Psykers.
>But Idira doesn't have it.
lol.
Yrliet is cute.
someone post the white idira pic
Blue Dragons chapter marine companion when?
How do I save during dialogue scenes?
lmao look at this bg3 bab
not that big of an ask considering you can save mid combat
>muh skill cap
>game gives you a gorillion options to customise difficulty
>moron Gankerirgins would rather b***h about the defaut being too hard than use those options
Many such cases.
Have I fricked myself? I've scanned every node, so I don't know how I can get more navigator powers.
You can go to the 'to the imperium' warpstorm in the far south and iirc you get some points from the VN section if you survive.
Orange and red routes occasionally give you an even that gives you a whole bunch of points too.
I did that a long time ago.
No. But that is damn hard to spot. Thanks.
Are you colorblind perchance.
>Rogue Trader the enemies of humanity are attacking your shit. Go help
>Warp right over there
>See 3 fighters
>Move right up to the ship in peril and mount a defense
>2 ignore me and lay into the ship
>But it's ok because 2 finished next to each other within torpedo range
>Their turn ends
>2 fricking frigates on the other side start moving towards the vulnerable ship
>Ship I need to protect heads off towards them and ever so slightly turns
>Turn back around and hope the enemy will at least target me
>Nukes the npc ship
What the frick is this bullshit. I can't kill 3 fighters and 2 frigates in 2 fricking turns from the start
Still haven't solved this bullshit. Is the orientation random or did everyone have to deal with this crap? Does it matter if the ship explodes or not like that pilot in act 1 who survives even if they get merked during the ceremony?
Where can I find an elf to hold hands with irl?
Any gay district in your closest town/city.
I like girls though.
Elves are gay. Youre shit outta luck then
🙁
I actually liked the space battles, warp incursions and exploring....In act 1.
Now that I am in act 4 and have to travel back and forth if I want to do projects, it is a nightmare.
I am absoloutly going to download mods for my second playthrough.
That being said, this is the first Owlcat game I have played without mods on my first playthrough. So, well done.
Just make green routes between everything important.
I've done that. But I still need to travel orange and red when I go questing. And it's all backtracking, since I explored the entire map in act 1...
You don't, you can make everything you travel yellow first. Get that one project that helps with route cost.
>rep cargo trade-in interface is broken
come on now
>Fight the Forgefiend
>It get to attack when ever I attack it
Is the game patched enough to be enjoyable or should I wait a bit more?
I enjoyed it just fine even on the launch version, it all depends on your luck and tolerance of bugs. Like personally I got to finish it with only companion quests bugged but other people got game-ending bugs in act 4 or 5, it depends. It's since been patched a lot but they've also added new bugs like how the 2nd arena fight now stops you from continuing.
I'm in act 2, mostly fine. 3 and 4 supposedly can be fricked. I'd wait another month.
One more month it is. Cheers anons.
>help out architect bro and unravel the Footfall mystery
>tell him he can hop aboard - he accepts
>???
>find him dead and crispy on Footfall act IV
RRREEEE
yup, it's another bug, I hated that shit
One of the nicer Iconoclast options I've seen was in that funeral quest on Footfall. Giving the inheritance to the guy's granddaughter. Pity I was too dogmatic to take it, should have just pretended to be Fidelio.
If you go incognito, you can seize her parents' assets, and then give the inheritance to the granddaughter. You only lose out on 1 PF and Chaplain is probably the most decent guy of the lot.
I also gave it to the girl but then the Chaplain tell me that she now has a big target on her back.
READ THE SKILL AND TALENT DESCRIPTIONS Black person
How do I get my shots landing more often, just up my ballistic skill and perception? I'm a soldier crime boss with the forge world buff to increase my crit chance, so I'm doing good damage whenever I hit, I just need to hit more. Also seems I'm better at burst firing then single shots.
Gitgud
Ballistic, perception, buffs. If you're still in act 1, laser weapons do a lot of the heavy lifting with their dodge reduction until you get more ways to increase your stats.
Mainly ballistic skill. Perception just helps stop them from dodging.
>officer voice of command plus take aim
>Not hitting enemy in cover or using las weapons
>check items that specifically say dodge reduction or bonuses to hit
>use more area weapons liek flamers and shotfun
Depending on class, abilities and talents you pick make a lot of difference. A soldier reveling in slaughter every 2 kills and getting the permanent boost from upgraded heroic act by killing chaff means they also easily hit everything later for example
Should I take the extractium or 5000 explorators reputation?
Explorator rep. Extractiums are a dime a dozen later on.
Rep. There are far more Extractiums available than there are nodes to be extracted.
What grade of psyker can you be in this game? I'm assuming nothing crazy like Alpha+.
You can (as an unsanctioned psyker) delete enemies off the face of the earth for hundreds, almost 1000 damage per power as long as you're ok with ripping the veil in two, skullfricking your allies with psychic phenomena, and summoning hordes of demons from the warp
You can do thousands of damage per attack as a Sanctioned Sanctic Psyker in the name of the Emperor, and not have to deal with psychic phenomena or ally damage at all.
Which discipline is best for stacking said damage?
Yrliet "Dyke Demolisher" Laenavyss
Yrliet "Frag the gay" Laenavyss
Yrliet "Flay the gay away" Laenavyss
Yrliet "Gas the dykes" Laenavyss
Yrliet "Unload a mag in the gay" Laenavyss
>Executes imperial that tried to hit on her
Damn she's based. We'll make a sanctioned imperial pet out of her yet.
...You can romance her as a femRT though.
BUT, no homosexual sex, the officer wanted homosexual sex so got a bullet
She'd do the same to a guy mon-keigh.
Try "Las the Lez"
That is not what happens, just admit your space elf is shit.
Human heavy weapon or Eldar heavy weapon better?
Stubbers and heavy bolter are good enough, but I doubt you really hurt for common talents and cannot pick xeno weapons.
I stuck with bolters since Argenta had already picked the expertise too.
How likely are the children to inherit father's autism? Asking for a friend
Is that father Jimmi?
m-maybe
80%
You should be more worried what Jimmy looked like before he gave himself a chad jawline and 12" wiener with biomancy cheats.
the way i understand it he simply restored the face from being horrifically disfigured by bad implants. even if not, the face can be fixed with biomancy
Why are Eldar like the way they are?
No sex for a very very very very long time.
Has-beens trying desperately to stay relevant after colossal frick ups, like birthing a chaos god.
They need to get laid but doing so has the risk of costing them their soul. Being an Eldar is suffering. But I will patiently wait and support my Yrliet until she's ready to break the lore with our biomancer half-eldar progeny.
Never happens, endings make that clear. Keep coping.
nuh uh
Because the only remaining ones are the descendants of those who were too autistic to get invited to the galaxy wide orgies the Eldar used to have.
I thinking of making an arch militant on my second playthrough.
Should I go for pistol + sword, or just go 2 hander and swap sets?
Doesn't seem like there is any downsides to just swapping. Should have cost ap or movement imo.
Howdo Jimmi Abelard and Argenta respond without sounding mad?
They shoot the xeno.
*sigh* "I'm glad you're happy Lord Captain"
"As long as you wash your face afterwards"
Sexo with elves. Always and forever. A fish is fine too.
Anyone else getting insane low fps in some fights?
I'm talking like 1-5 fps.
I've had it happen 3 times. I think all of them had high warp influence. But I don't know exactly what cause it, because one of the times it happened is in a fight I've done several times with no issue. And one of the fitght, the fps went back to normal after kiling a spesiffic enemy.
Yeah, I've seen it happen in the Black Ship fight and the Edge of Daybreak fight. Wouldn't be surprised if it's got something to do with how the aura that all daemons have is completely bugged and reapplies to the entire party every time either you or the daemon moves, since the bug (at least for me) seems to mostly pop up in fights with lots of daemons.
Though it does seem to happpen in some other fights too, so I'm not so sure that the bugged aura is the only cause.
I got that like 2 times. My most "fun" reason for dropping fps is when the game struggles to calculate the damage on the character's attack and freezes for a second each time I select a single attack action. And that usually happens to psykers, but sometimes Ulfar as well. Browsing the weapons on that character freezes the game during a fight as well, but only sometimes, and that is despite the modified damage not being shown. I have never in 200 hours seen the actual damage or pen numbers of my attacks on the ui.

hmmm
Turn based combat isn't exactly the most interesting thing to watch.
Sure fire plan just gives you a buff for whatever you do next.
I don't understand how sure fire plan works or how to get more stacks of it, nor wounds.
Also after both Pathfinder and BG making me long rest after so many fights to use abilities or heal up it feels odd how everyone's health just refills.
You use the ability and your next action will give you a bonus (more damage if you attack, dodge and parry if you move, etc)
>or how to get more stacks of it
There are talents for it, the best one being killing plan that gives you one stack for every enemy you kill (ignoring the fact that it's bugged and sometimes it doesn't work)
I'm still upset that we didn't get a drukhari gf.
>Camtard + Eldartard
Thank god, Yrlietgays are already annoying enough
Yrliet legit has lower INT than Valerie.
She's a moron but she's my moron.
Isn't there a Chaos Sorcerer wo got a Dark Eldar GF?
Yeah. It's me.
Iskander? or something like that? Yeah he got a wych gf.
>Game is easy all the way to the dark city
>Suddenly characters are starting to die
>Still win because melee is disgustingly broken
I keep losing party members to any enemy ever getting a turn.
Does building toughness make a difference?
Even Abelard gets wrecked by melee bosses in no time.
I just finished the coronation and I'm thinking of lowering enemy stats on the difficulty menu but they're only at +10% damage
no, you need to build dodge or parry. also take it will not die talent
>Recruiting Marazhai
>After he does all that shit to you
Explain yourselves
Gotta recruit him to give him to Heinrix.
It's extra content = more xp = more loot = more dialogue
He's hot.
I wanted to sacrifice him to a daemonette, but that option is bugged.
I am very horny ok? also this
Jimi deserves some revenge.
he can break me
I wanted to get his hopes up only to sell him out to the Inquisition but it ended up being more, next time I'm just killing him and moving on, same with Yrliet
>Accidently killed him during the royal rumble fight
Frick he was so weak
you guys did wait in line properly on Dargonus right?
of course, no man is above the law
frick no. frick administratum
>Not just shooting at the crowd
I hated pathfinder kingmaker (characters were dull, combat had these weird difficulty spikes and I was not a fan of buffing constantly), should I try Wrath of the righteous or Rogue Trader?
Your IQ is too low to enjoy Owlcat games, could I recommend playing Larian's games instead?
Wrath might have better characters, but it's still the same combat. There are mods to automate the buffing process.
Rogue Trader doesn't have buffing.
it most certainly has buffing but not pre-buffing
Rogue Kino, characters and the writing in general are much better. Pathfinder is trash and Owlcat did well by abandoning it
>characters and the writing in general are much better
yeah no
Yes, both games are infinitely better than Kingmaker
>should I try Wrath of the righteous
no
>or Rogue Trader
yes, but maybe wait a year
Definitely not, these awful threads are to generate fomo, but if you look at user score that should quickly go away. I bought this because I like 40k but I regret doing so enormously. Never buying anything from owlcat again.
What the frick is a 'fomo', homo?
Fear of missing out
must be a zoomer thing
Pretty much, its usually used about investments or flavor of the month games, like fall guys. Where it suddenly gets popular and people jump on it quickly, because they now it wont stay popular
>Owlcat employees are making Ganker threads to make anons wish they could be playing the buggy version of the game.
>fomo
>single player crpg
You're one stupid motherfricker, anon. Shame on you and your shit taste
>get to the end of kiava gamma
>2 daemon engines, mech spider man and a bunch of mooks
>think holy shit I'm gonna die
>end up clearing the fight like it was nothing
3 officers really break the game huh
>3 officers really break the game huh
no, it's just that the two demon engines are very weak compared to what you've fought on the space hulk. they don't even retaliate after every attack
Another zoom zoom filtered try Robolox or another Minecraft, nobody's gonna hurt you there
>keep getting messages to fix broken shit on my ship
>things are not broken, the messages are fake
Is this warp frickery or Nomos pulling pranks?
The latter.
He'll stop after you acknowledge his existence.
>Vox Master what's wrong with the vox system
>uhh there's nothing wrong Lord Captain
>okay thanks bye
>confused Vigdis intensifies
Why yes, I did enjoy romancing both Octavia and Jae
NOM
Why are you distributing misinformation again, Gue'vesa'la? That will be another week's worth of Resource Allocation Tokens docked from your wage.
tfw no tau gf
we can only dream
>Warp encounter where you're ambushed in your room and your party comes to your rescue one by one
>Cassia walks in and use her navigator power to softlock the game into an unending custscene
>Trying to skip it just results in a blackscreen
owlturdbros...
She is just jealous that you let someone else into your bedroom.
Why is it called a Halo Device, why not just say Xbox?
Halo devices are supposed to give you eternal life and make you a monster. An XBOX would RROD after a few months and make you a millenial.
Don't forget that an Xbox is too large for any 40k craft to carry.
This game flopped.
You can go to Eurac V and the prison asteroid before Rykard Minoris
NOTHING OF VALUE HAS BEEN LOST!
