Disgaea is essentially a relic at this point. It's peak 2000s anime, made in a time when you would buy a single game and milk it for an entire year as the only game you played. Those days are over now.
It's genuinely wild that the biggest money markers of the series are literally "WOAH, NOSTALGIA" DLC characters.
Disgaea 4 was the last real Disgaea game, the grand finale to the golden age of NIS, when they'd whip out a game that was actually completely unique like it was nothing. Disgaea F2 and 5 were death rattles, then 6 was just confirmation that they were, on fact, dead.
I'll play 7. It's going to hurt, but I can't imagine a piece of software being worse than Disgaea 6. But I'm gonna b***h and complain the whole time.

So basically you can buy the game, get the game with useless cosmetics and shit/OP items, get the same stuff with character packs and 5 minute long "stories" plus worthless cheap chink made physical goods, or you can upgrade the second pack to the third minus the physical trash.
