They're both Japan Studio games, they haven't ported any of those. We can only assume why but it probably doesn't help that they aren't around anymore.

Rockstar has never made a bad game, they've been in the business proper since the 90s and their products are high quality and influential. If you play video games and don't like or aren't interested in GTA, you're operating on the same level of moronation as that kid who played Sonic games instead of Mario.

The only good game they ever made was gta 3/vice city. An open world max payne ripoff with fast cars. Then there was san andreas, the "look we can be hip and mature" game with the same basic malfunctioning quest system. Then there was gta IV which put a little more work into the open world. Then there was GTA V which was a boring reddit movie with a massive open world that people join rp servers for and drive around on the roads roleplaying
Then there was RDR2 which was a great open world (with a lot of horse riding filler in the missions)
The Sonic trilogy is better than any Mario 2D game though.
Also, I can see why GTA isn't appealing to everyone since it's a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None". You can shoot people but it's not as good as an actual shooter game, you can drive cars but it's as good as a racing game and you can explore the open world map but there isn't much to explore since there is little interaction with the environment. The only fun thing is running away from the cops and that's it.
The only solid GTA game was GTA San Andreas because of the RPG mechanics. You could customize your character with numerous hairstyles and clothing. You could gain muscle if you hit the gym or get fat if you eat fast food. You could recruit gang members, hop on a car and do a driver-by against the rival gangs. You could have girlfriends and take them on dates but you had to their favourite activity and as a reward, they provided you with perks based on their profession. You had interesting side-jobs such as being a pimp or a burglar.
It's the only Rockstar game other than RDR 2 that really immersed you in the world. The other games become incredibly boring after you beat the main story.
I won't be playing it even if they make it free on PC day 1.

Parity clauses will probably prevent that with Sony as market leader now. When the 360 was market leader Microsoft could take advantage of the hardware advantage more. The hard part will be selling the physical copy of GTA6 because everyone is on the Series S. The new leaked console from the FCC case that's a digital only Series X should be out then too, making it even worse unless you want $20 from GameStop.

Nah, R* is just bad at PC development. They'll release the console versions and ensure they release in a stable state first, then come back around to PC and do their best to get it out within a year or so, likely with a ton of issues at launch.
