The alpha in the current banner is far, far stronger anyway. Just less cute.
No its not far far stronger, JK alpha at max awakening is 100% in the top 5 characters.
You are guaranteed to always have at least 6 stacks, so thats the bare minimum.
Don't you need both Alpha and Zeta for her to be good?
Not at awakening 5. Solo, she will almost always have 6 stacks up, and on certain occasions/good timing 9 stacks.
Assuming 6 stacks, she gives herself close to a 46% attack buff, nerfs enemy defense by 30%, and gives a 38% damage dealt increase to all blue members when its time to full burst (30 seconds in).
Her ult is 2350% damage on ALL enemies.
With zeta, these numbers are even higher.
Before awakening 5 though, she is bad because her stacks only go up to 2~4, meaning most of the numbers above are cut by half.
There are cases where you even take her alone even if you had zeta, like armageddon where you don't need a tank.
Thats pretty whale to expect to get a limited version of a character to max awakening 5. Thats 3 or so dupes from a limited banner or a lot of the “blank” awakening gems that will awaken any character. I believe the event or the $20 pack for her gives at least enough resources for one of the awakenings so that helps a bit. Indeed she seems powerful if you can max her out.
The current alpha banner is very strong at any awakening level and also a much needed heavy DPS unit for yellow teams. Now that they confirmed the shadow banners get reruns it is even more reassuring. Personally I want a delta rerun as I am only at 2 dupes for adult doggo and she carries my green team.

It appears rank 10 will be the max because there was a little [Max] box next to "10" when I got all the equipment to increase rank. The next--and possibly highest--material of equipment is Onyx. 40 Onyx shards appears to be the requirement
I was trying to get my cote dps units all to level 9 gear during last weeks drop rate up. Still a long way from 10 for me.
Was there any special unlocked when you hit 10? Like when you hit gear level 8 you get the message that your damage cap is lifted.

That is excellent. The last shadow we got was kind of underwhelming (mundane man was strong but not strong enough and too slow to be used in pvp. The two SS tier shadows we have so far are below average performers.
Alpha is one of the best units in game for story and boss killing, and beta is a fantastic pvp and story mode unit. You are all set.
Any idea if I'll have enough gems from story mode to pity shadow before he's gone?
I dont know if they even confirmed when he is coming. For all we know they may do something strange and even make him a healer in his next form. We have blue attacker, green attacker, Green tank as the main cids for now, plus a lower rarity yellow attacker version.

i'm too moronic and unlucky for this game. I've been stuck on the same main story, shadow and hard shadow chronicles for months now and leveling up still hasn't gotten me over the edge.
Search youtube for f2p clear videos. I know at least 1 person uploads videos using only the sub-SS rarity characters. Some quests are just 5 steps harder than the ones before and after it. Some quests have a status effect that you have to work around, like some bosses have a skill that will temporarily make attacks do no damage or something similar, so you have to watch your team's debuffs and the enemy buffs that are active before you shoot off a combo or hidden skill
Can you share which stages in each you are stuck on? Can maybe help.

i've been suing subtle romance sherry but i'm almost positive she is lettign everyone die on purpose. I just unlocked the yellow beta healer, is that any better? yel sheeery is ss rank 8 with 2 for the character level or whatever its called.
Sherry reduces attack by 18% for 25s vs 8% for 10s from Beta. Sherry's better for surviving the nuke.
This video helped me when I was stuck. Doesn't use Shadowfes Alpha.
I used that same video. Sherry is the healer to use. Other than that, you need to get the defense and HP stats up through rank/equipment for all your chatacters that get killed. Pay attention to the timing in the video.
In similar news, the recently released last stage of [N] Chronicles has a boss fight that the Hidden skill will team wipe you. Look at my maxed out Aurora level, rank, dual equipmemt, etc. and I will show you how my absolute strongest DPS just now barely survives by a thread. Just 2 levels ago and without the defense equipment, she gets one-shot like the rest of the DPS and support.
Here is what is left of my maxxed Aurora (for my current master level at least) after the first boss Hidden Skill when I had 40% DMG reduction buff from the 5-member combo. Of course she was K.O.'d a couple seconds later.
I did it bros. Took me almost two hours of 0.5 speed and reseting if someone died from the first nuke but I finally beat that b***h. Very satisfying to watch her get raped by cid right after that.
Did the entire next chapter without issue mission after mission with zero deaths. So at least I'm getting max tuna king....

Yellow teams tend to suck on bosses so there is some artificial difficulty at work here. If your units are tier 8 geared they should be able to survive the boss ultimate if you deploy a 40% defense combo. The dps strategy to kill boss before ult only works if you have a few of the better SS yellow units loaded with good gear, which is unrealistic as yellows best units were all limited until recently when alpha came back.
I heard units like the yellow sherry are helpful there for low rarity wins, but I did it without her. I just overleveled and tier 8 geared it, and tanked the Big hit.

Wow you are all set. Especially for PVP climbing. Pvp currency lets you “buy” other SSR characters over time.
Collecting 120 shards of a character you dont already own unlocks that character. Shards also increase rarity of characters you do own. A strong pvp team really helps your growth but it takes time to get enough shards.
Yeah I didn't expect this game to be literally Princess Connect, which is fine with me since I loved that game.
Like there's also characters I don't have from hard shards but I probably shouldn't farm those too much early game or I'll gimp my progression.
Yea farming hard mode is 30 stamina a run. I do my 3 daily runs and focus on other stuff.
Completing main story will boost your daily stamina free recharges each chapter gives you one extra and they replenish every day). Once toy have enough of those ypy can farm hard mode shards a bit easier, especially when they are on rate-up.
Normal mode boosted: farm equipment (near 100% drop rate)
Hard mode boosted: farm character shards
It took forecer but i jnlocked delta small predator SSR from shard farm. Then not long after j got her the smal predator delta was added to pvp currency shop. Still good to get more though.

I reached chapter 6 of the story but the game wants me to build a yellow team, while the event wants a green team.
Should I just keep upgrading everything at the same time or I hyperfocus into green until the event ends for better rewards? If there's nothing more to unlock from the main story I guess it can be put on hold...
If you are able to do at least the first hard mission of the event, and do around 25% damage to the guild boss then you should be fine. You will most likely get all the rewards as long as you do all your dailies and use all your stamina + use gems on stamina 2x a day (which you should already do this early in the chapters).
If so, then focus solely on pushing story and side story. You will need to build different teams and level them up as you progress, and you will natural have a solid team for each color.
Yellow has some of the best f2p units, while blue has some of the worst.

Any idea how a red team can counter the AOE sleep on the 6th floor of world tree? I need a 40% defence combo to tank that big hit but all but 1 member is asleep.
Is there a way to counter it? I think you just have to do enough damage while not stunned
Boss meter charges fast and sleeps your entire team at around the 15s mark, an then AOE nukes with its limit break right after. The AOE is enough to instant kill even your level 65 tank (tank with proper element vs boss of course). There is just enough of a wait so that if you use a defence combo before you are slept, the def buff fades right as the limit brake triggers (while your team is still all asleep).
The boss is as strong as the optional 30-tier event bosses, the ones that wipe out a normal max levelled team in seconds.
What team are you using? I used Epsilon(healer) Eta, Iris, Delta and 666 and the sleep almost never affected Epsilon and at times Eta also remained awake which allowed me to charge the combo.

They reset daily. If you are aiming for the shards you can still farm them after the event (and in case you don't know, you can't unlock limited character via shards)

I tried it again and his attack ordered worked better this time, I could survive that first hit but then I kept needing to do defence combos and ran out of time before I could kill it. I guess a better tank would help here.

huge damage on ulti, combo is AOE, stats are way higher than anything seen before, weapon gets rid of all debuffs, passive that buffs other 7 shadows that it even makes non-strong elements become strong elements (probably 50% attack buff??)

you should have a team for each colour. focus on whichever colour is best for the ongoing event which is currently yellow
Typically I focus on leveling the team whose color is relevant either to the current running event, or whatever story/chronicle mission set I’m currently taking on.
I was competitive in pvp before the bracket reset, but now I had to let go of my spirit or my motivation to play would be ruined. At least the marginal gains of getting to the very top ranks are small enough to not feel bad about missing out

More than 1 SS per roll is possible. There will be event in august, there's one every month, but no guarantee of swimsuits and beta/epsilon won't be available most likely.
Minimum 3 from s-tier could be bit greedy if they give less gems or changed anything else about rerolling since I did it.

Can’t find info on this nor in game. When they first let you craft magic gear, is there a purpose? I can’t seem to equip them, and even when I unlocked enhance magic gear I see no way to use them.
When you're on the party select screen there's two slots at the bottom. The one on the left is always available but the one on the right requires dupes to unlock.
Magic Gear effects are either universal (rings boosting damage, capes boosting defense) or they're "signature" gear with special effects that only work on a specific character costume. There's like a dozen Alpha but only the one with the right title can use the top effect of the gear.

I also noticed in the regular shop I could buy shards for summer Beta but first I only have 30~ of those golden sun thingies and no idea how to get more, and even if I buy all 100, it doesn’t do anything if I don’t get the last few. Get the weapons if you rolled the character, get the tickets, the magic crystal and rainbow glue.
You can get more shards from beating the event stages every day. Even after the event is gone you can keep farming shards for them so don't worry.
You'll need to build a team for every element anyway, just focus on what you need right now for the event, then the story, then the farming stages.
Two questions, first is which one is rainbow glue since I don’t see any glue that looks like it, at most the shadow one for 3k coins. Second, I bought 2 of Beta weapon crystals but when I crafted, I got one bow and one sword for Alexia, what’s going on? I’m confused.

Oh so I got an infusion copy, that makes sense. But do dupes happen at low level magic gear? I’d swear early on I first crafted 4 items, then I crafted an additional item, but It never showed up again.
You can only have one copy of each gear. If you get a copy it turns into a sphere that you can feed on the original to reroll the substats, or you can fuse them (unlocked later in the story) to a higher tier, up to SS.

duplicate gear gives you a gem you can spend to reroll the stats of the gear, ie from 3 bronze traits to two silver and a rainbow trait.

Pushing event hard stages doesn''t really matter unless you want to farm character shards, you just need to do 3 event normal and 3 event hard stages every day for the dailies to gain coins.
Push the game's story to unlock more stuff in the game and do the seven shadows chronicles when your power is too low for better gear so you can push story again.
You'll need an on element healer too because it reduces damage received, if you use a blue healer instead you could get clapped during AoE attacks for bosses.
For stamina remember to use your sandwiches. You should save burgers for x2 normal events but sandwiches come back daily, and you get one more for every story chapter beat.
Is there a limit to sandwiches? Otherwise why not save them too?
Also I just did Hard Chronicles 1-4 trying to farm the basic rings, but instead I ended up getting a staff and shield. I checked in case I clicked the wrong stage but H C 1-4 has 2/3 while I haven’t done any other hard stages since reset, what’s going on?
They reset back to full every day, if you don't use any it's wasted.
Items shown have a chance to drop, you can also get stuff not shown. If it says high I think they drop at 70% chance and mid is at 40%.
For the event it's best to join a guild and do the guild boss since you get the most points for the reward ladder but since you started you should forget about clearing it anyway, just get what you can.
Check the english guide I posted earlier for low rarity elemental teams, you will NEED to build them to progress. This game isn't about using all your best characters in one team, at first you'll probably have only one SS or two in each team with the others being S or A as filler.
I’m super confused, I cleared sanctuary 4 last night using no greens but zeta who was helper, but now I can’t even get past sanctuary 3. The boss for whatever reason always kills epsilon red healer after halfway.
Oh and for the element stuff, what happens if I don’t even have enough for a full team? I only have 3 greens, 2 dps 1 tank. I don’t really want to summon until Summer Epsilon comes out. Actually I’m not sure if I have enough yellow either.

If you lose in knockout stage, you get given the option to reset with gems. You start from same place you lost and you get option to use any of the 15 characters picked.
Can’t help for that question then I’m afraid, not willing to spend gems when I only just started and it doesn’t seem likely any knockout stage won’t have at least one decked out fricker. I’d like to know the answer too for future reference though.

In the meantime, do the daily event quest challenges and focus on strengthening your blue team without grinding any boss fights. At the end of the event, use your stronger blue team to fight the guild boss**
**do as much damage as you can do the guild boss because you will likely be able to earn more event score per "Event Award" spent even if you do not defeat the guild boss or you get tram wiped. The key is to check is how much event score you are able to get because the non-guild boss battles will cap the amount of event points you earn relatively low.
Again, wait to do the bulk of your boss battle and score grinding until the ecent is close to ending so you can strengthen your team in the meantime. Higher DMG = higher event score = more items you earn and can buy

100% if you reroll until you get her, maybe wait until swimsuit alexia is out in a couple of days and aim for both, rerolling is super quick and easy

Auxiliary chapter event characters can be unlocked via shards. So far this is 666, Lambda, Casual adult Zeta and Eta, now Casual adult Alpha and Epsilon. You can farm shards after event ends too (though there is a little window after event where they close it for some reason)

Well the new Alexia seems pretty great but upgrading from the free SS++ Alpha doesnt seem so important. She's about enhancing your damage and shielding the team. The shielding is great to pair her with SF Gamma since she can have issues keeping the team alive on her own sometimes, but usually you can just go two healers and clear just fine, Shadow just does too much damage.
