It's pseudointellectual goobledyasiatic that makes no sense. Also 'you were the bad guy all along but it's alright, let us just kill you and it will all be fine' is such a shit trope.
>It's pseudointellectual goobledyasiatic that makes no sense
It's ok to say you just don't get it and therefore you don't like it. You even proved you don't understand it by thinking you played as the bad guy. If you'd like I can write a very easy-to-read summary of it so you can understand the story better.
>you just don't get it
You're not smart, you're too stupid to understand how moronic the story is. Alas I'm not OP and I don't remember it anymore so I can't argue about it, I can only call you a homosexual at this point
You aren't smart for understanding the plot to infinite.
It's like the lamest explanation of the many world's theory, and the game doesn't do anything interesting with the narrative or make any interesting gameplay out of it. It's just a mediocre FPS from its time.
Seriously. Go back and replay that game, it was never groundbreaking or particularly noteworthy for literally anything it did.
Also, I'm not the anon you were arguing with, but seeing you believe yourself an intellectual for liking the plot to that game made me cringe. Sorry.
>You aren't smart for understanding the plot to infinite.
are you seriously suggesting that he DID understand it?
his entire reaction belies that notion.
>There are an infinite number of universes >Somehow, killing Booker at a certain point in time will create a paradox and fix everything, even though there's an infinite number of universes >Burial at Sea comes around, Elizabeth suddenly remembers there are infinite universes, therefore realizing that she killed Booker for no reason >Elizabeth decides she's gonna murder EVERY Booker, even though that wouldn't be possible, because...there's an infinite amount of universes...
>>Burial at Sea comes around, Elizabeth suddenly remembers there are infinite universes, therefore realizing that she killed Booker for no reason
Burial at Sea's gameplay and environments were kino, but Elizebeth's fate was rough, and shitty
The 1980s part was cool as hell.
It's true she went from naive Disney princess to capable timelord in no time, very undercooked.
I don't remember what the deal was with the Luteces, why they needed Booker- just to frick with him as an experiment, no?
The ghost mother was so out of place and grating, grinding the game to a halt, very awkward.
I remember the hype when this game came out. It was supposed to be life changing and mind blowing. In the end the gameplay was stale as frick, very generic, even COD had more depth to it. The story was so forced and convoluted that when I got to the ending I was just numb rather than excited. Bad, bad fricking game.
Didn’t they completely change the plot mid development? I remember Elizabeth had a different design and it seemed like she wasn’t bookers future daughter
>The ending infuriated me
You and about half the people who played it when it came out.
It's fricking stupid because people ravenously defend it like "NO YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE MULTIVERSE THEORY!" like a bunch of ravenous Rick and Morty fans that confuse science fiction for science. The reason it's an unsatisfying ending is because >it trivializes everything that's happened to you up to that point, because it's just one probability out of an infinite number of others. >Your character fricking dies for something he hasn't even done.
It's stupid.
>like a bunch of ravenous Rick and Morty fans that confuse science fiction for science.
science fiction is has science as a basis for its stories, you are talking about science fantasy which only uses "lol science" as an explanation for its supernatural elements. and rick and morty is so far above bioshock in terms of adherence to sci-fi it is not even funny to compare the two.
at least R&M understands what the multiverse theory actually entails and does not handwave it away with "constants and variables".
I wish Columbia stayed as it was in the beginning (peaceful, business as usual) for much longer, as that was the most interesting part. Once it became broken down and post apocalyptic it looked like any so many other games. The early stuff was comfy and awe inspiring, something a bit different.
It's bittersweet but it's a good ending, what did you not like about it?
It's pseudointellectual goobledyasiatic that makes no sense. Also 'you were the bad guy all along but it's alright, let us just kill you and it will all be fine' is such a shit trope.
Probably, yes.

You are unironically a minor.

Ah so like EoE right?
the dumb twins were annoying to me
Would it have infuriated you more if they've gone through with the System Shock reference they were planning?
It's timey wimey wobbly stuff what are you stupid, don't you know science?
Threadly reminder.
I could probably answer all of these if I weren’t on mobile
Some of these are terrible, some make sense

>It was supposed to be life changing and mind blowing.
it was AAA release like every other release, where are you coming from with this?
For anyone who hasn't seen this. He fricking rips this game apart. Puts a smile on your face.
If you're a fricking onions boy.
the alt-america period design was the best
gameplay was weak
but yea the ending while a bit of a cop out and mess, was still very effective
The ending should've been Booker and Elizabeth making a bunch of moronic incest-babies in Paris.
>constants and variables
twins were delightful
Didn’t they completely change the plot mid development? I remember Elizabeth had a different design and it seemed like she wasn’t bookers future daughter

how? there is nothing before the shitty ending that should emotionally invest you in this mediocre borefest...
Shit combat.
Shit characters
Shit story.
Bioshock 2 is the best bioshock, play that instead of this shite.
Would you rather live in Rapture or Columbia?
Columbia for that vitamin D and because it's easier to escape.
Also, it only goes wrong because of the MC unlike Rapture.
Lazy unfinished game that they mass marketed and relied on the success of the first two games. Utter bullshit but pseuds ate it up.because epic twist
I dont think System shock 1 and 2 werent THAT successful though
I wish Columbia stayed as it was in the beginning (peaceful, business as usual) for much longer, as that was the most interesting part. Once it became broken down and post apocalyptic it looked like any so many other games. The early stuff was comfy and awe inspiring, something a bit different.
Reminder Infinite isn't canon or a Bioshock game.
The game really nosedives when your start going through tears
100%
Wait a second...that card..
