Game was kinda almost based that way. Yeah lady combat characters in your rome game is moronic cringe. But at least they kinda pointed out how dumb that is by making the romance choice a no brainer. Obviously the mentally ill dykes are inferior to even the inbred cleopatra
Sure you can. Just gotta cut it off afterwards. Although personally I prefer buggering off to Egypt so rome doesn't become decadent and hellenic civilization continues
>But you can't become Emprah if you frick the Greek prostitute
Doesn't she stick by you anyway? I only beat the game once fricking the gladiator chick.
It's the other way around. You can't get Cleopatra romance ending if you become the Emperor. You can still frick her, though, it just has no follow up unles you go for the Mark Anthony Exile ending.
Does this game pick up? I stopped playing at around the point you get the second legion. I was a lot more interested in political shenanigans back in Rome than campaigning

Ah Syneros. I still remember being heartbroken at him dying in Act 4 in my first playthrough. Felt like a real gut punch, even more so during the epilogue. I also liked the friendship he had with Bestia, who was also a pretty fun character, surprisingly so. For all that screeching about the game being woke, it turned out to be the exact opposite. IIRC it refers to the color of olive juice, which is more bronze in tone.

I'm pretty sure the key staff are still there at the studio, though I could be wrong. It is shame that they fell for the NFT meme though. I would have loved an Expedition Napoleon, or even an Expedition Japan.
Perhaps. But they made such a great game. Arguably one of the best cprgs to come out in the past 5 or so years. To end now when they can do so much more, especially considering how far they've come with their formula.
imagine making one of the best CRPGs in recent memory and then shuttering the studio to waste all your money on a fricking meme

I bet they regret that decision now. Rome ended up making bank and had double the player count of their previous games. One more entry into the Expedition series and they could have easily put themselves on the map like Owlcat, Larian, and InXile did. But they let go of all that for a fricking meme.

So, have the devs said anything about the future Expeditions plans? The game sold pretty well and got good reviews, getting a dlc in the process, so another Expeditions game will probably come out, question is if they're still creating more dlc for Rome.
Werent these devs supposed to be doing that Divinity spinoff that was like tactical something? Did that get put in the freezer because of BG3 and Expeditions guys decided to say frick it and jumped into NFT meme?
This is really weird tbh. Its like that one image where the guy is digging a tunnel and gives up just before finding gold. Expeditions games were getting so much better with every iteration, I bet THQ will get this series continued in some way since theres definitely audience for it

Guys Logic Artists (the studio that made it) still exists the main guy and some of the team left, but the expeditions games aren't dead yet.
Left gives you children in all the endings you have with her whether you become the Emperor of Rome or frick off into exile. Right doesn't give you anything because she's bisexual and devs these days are too lazy or too scared to make bi characters have different endings for both male and female.
I think it's because Deianira was apparently added later to the game, which is why she's arguably the least relevant of the companions story wise. Hell, she's even suppose to be a different class altogether, but that wasn't the case with the vanilla release.
So, have the devs said anything about the future Expeditions plans? The game sold pretty well and got good reviews, getting a dlc in the process, so another Expeditions game will probably come out, question is if they're still creating more dlc for Rome.
Only if based on the First Crusade. You play as a norman/frankish nobleman (maybe let the player choose) and can at the end become Guardian of the Holy Sepulchre, declare yourself king or strike a deal with the Byzantines.
[...] >Only if it based on 1396 setting
Surely we can all agree that getting to behead 2k habibis after the fall of Acre in 1191 as Richard LH, or his replacement, would be based
only good crusade game would be for first crusade, so you can actually win at the end
>where you take the place of a shipwrecked survivor of the failed naval invasion of Japan. >Not Expeditions Mongol where you play as Subutai's vanguard/scout and participating in conquest of China, Khwarezm, Caucasian mountains, Cuman steppe, Russia, Poland and Hungary

You are right, it does sound better. And I think it would, stories basically wrote themselves, madlads back then did some insane stuff irl. So many colorful personalities to pick from.
Expeditions: Tercio
Classes can be based around the specific units of a tercio: Arquebusier, pikeman, rodelero(sword and shield), fencer (rapier and dagger)
Dei, gotta civilize the barbarians one way or another.
Also, anyone else here disappointed that we didn't get an Italy campaign after crossing the Rubicon if you decide to go Empire?
>Kill Lurco >Save my friends >Frick off to egypt and be co-rulers with the QT queen
Overall a pretty good ending aside from losing like 3 fathers/father-figures over the course of the story
Any good Roman mam should only seek a woman who is chaste, pious and fertile. To choose a woman who is loose, ungodly, and barren will be the doom of his house.
>Any good Roman mam should only seek a woman who is chaste, pious and fertile
As a wife. He can frick whoever she wants, as long as she's independently wealthy, already has kids, and is pushing 40.
Its a weird class thats neither tank or dps. Works best with a pike imho as basically offtank/debuffer/displacer
>Terrifying presence is super strong, use itc with Frighten and you can route 3-4 enemies in one turn without even using your AP >Attract is also very strong when you combine it with AoO and Interrupt from archers >Entire Murmillo tree is garbage apart from Safeguard, which is a must >archers will rek you
Pretty sure on lower difficulties this class can work fine, but on Insane its pretty shit, not as bad as Veles but still weakest out of the usable classes for sure.
I'd choose the one on the right if she actually gave you kids. b***h is built like a brickhouse, she should be a baby factory. But only the tomboy gives you kids so I go with her.
Yes, actually. Probably one of the best RPGs in the last 5 years. A lot of branching paths, choices and consequences, likeable companions, fun, turned-based combat, huge amount of content, decent waifus. I only wish the crazy cat priestess was romancable.
Rome's #1 strength that ets it apart from more traditional party based rpgs is pretty complex and slick tactical combat, which is definitely the main hook
Just got the game and picked Veles and Assassin as my starting class/sub-class.
How fricked am I? Also holy shit Caesar just got merc'd. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say I'm taking his place in history.
Veles isn't too bad, problem is you already have Bestia and Veles is the kind of class you really only want one of except for very specific missions. You can still make it work though.
On Insane Veles is by far the worst class since enemies have far too much hp to get your chain going and veles has almost no synergy with your core shields+spears block, also glancing blows start being a problem.
On lower difficulties I imagine the class can be very strong though, especially on open maps where you can Marathon your way to the enemy leader
>Thinking of starting another playthrough >Not even sure if I want to turn Deianeira into a gladiator because the class sucks so much ass I think I'd honestly rather just have a second princeps
The class shines later one once you start stacking retaliation chance, by act 3 I had Deianeria countering basically every hit and she even has a few unique lines when she pulls it off. But yeah overall it's a pretty underwhelming class.
Imagine a Princeps with no shield. Instead it gets this % chance to retaliate a strike and return the blow. Except, it's hella hard to actually get that number up to a reliable point and requires you use very specific gear that's also extremely subpar and deals very little damage. It even has a talent in the tank tree that lets you unlock heavy armor like a Princeps, except oops, no heavy armor comes with retaliate chance so you're actively gimping yourself if you actually take it. Also I think you need a specific unique item to be able to retaliate more than once a turn, if I understood the description right, not that I'd ever know because I never managed to actually retaliate more than once with or without the item. Not even sure if RNGesus just fricked me over or if the chances are just that low even if you put everything towards retaliation.
So you end up with this character who can neither tank nor deal damage. The only thing Gladiators kinda excel at is forcing movement on enemies (shoving them around, pulling them, etc.) and morale shenanigans. Morale isn't actually too bad of a gimmick, but you've still got a character that sucks at both surviving and dealing damage, so they fail at the absolute most basic rule of combat, "Kill them before they kill you".
Downloaded this game, due to this thread and half of my centurions are sub-saharan africans. Why are people claiming this is not a woke game or are the devs really this historically illiterate? Add to the fact the Black person gladiator companion. Otherwise, decent game so far. Although the combat is frankly boring for a turn-based game. I say this as a person who liked to play Pathfinder on turn-based mode.
True enough. Played some more of this and starting to enjoy this, even the combat. The first few hours are sadly somewhat off-putting, when you don't have enough skill points and the available actions for the player are limited. Kinda like low level DnD.
While the devs put a lot if effort to make the game feel reasonably historically accurate, the history as we know it goes off the rails in the first 30 minutes of the game - by design. The devs know that some things they are doing are WILDLY historically inacurrate and point that out in various tooltips (lorica segmentata during Gaulic Wars, Cleopatra being an adult bombshell during 74 BC, principes and veles being a thing after Marian Reforms), but they just thought it's going to be fun to bend the history a bit and/or for gameplay reasons.
>I saw that you can become the first emperor and it annoyed me with its blatant protagonist fellation
You become first emperor because you effectively take Caesar's place in history.
Because Caesar gets fricking mercd by a random bowman in the first major battle of the game.
Technically correct, but most people think of him as Rome's first emperor.
Many more think he WOULD have named himself Emperor if he hadn't been assassinated.
It's alternate/fictitious history, so if you come in for the historical accuracy, you'll most likely have an aneurysm. That being said, the devs did put effort in making the setting feel as authentic as possible.
I wouldn't be so sure. I get that MC was born and raised an optimate, but i never saw something that casts big doubt on the republic as an institution outside of a few blink-and-you-miss-it mentions. So the ending choice aka "could you still put your faith in the republic" seems loaded.
> half of my centurions are sub-saharan africans. Why are people claiming this is not a woke game
It's a calculated concession. Devs have to pick their battles. This is one of the few concessions to SJ politics and doesn't really affect the game since you can just ignore them. I don't begrudge them a few black character portraits considering most of the game is free of woke shit.
You can frick Cleopatra regardless of whom you romance - although this might be a bit of trial and error, so save when she visits you in your mansion in-between acts. If you get to bang her, you are golden. . And as for the endings - you can save at the beginning of the Epilogue/Act 4 and then try all the possible scenarios and endings. The Epilogue is maybe 1 hour at best.
Thanks for the answer :). If I'm understanding you correctly, you can have Cleo romance override the pre-existing one, if you want to do the exile ending?
Can I romance Dei, if I executed the Thracian gladiator school guy, instead of enslaving him? Wiki keeps mentioning that for the romance, but seems strange for it to be such a monumental thing. Already skipped the spy girl, so I guess I'll just go Cleo, if I can't do Dei as a backup.
>If I'm understanding you correctly, you can have Cleo romance override the pre-existing one, if you want to do the exile ending?
The romance endings go alongside each other. So you can romance both Julia and Cleo and then you have the ending when Julia gets into catfights with Cleopatra.
As for Dei - I don't think killing/enslaving the dude is all that important. You just need to pick those heart options every step of the way. In Act 2 she's supposed to propose to you - although that event is deceptively rare. While Julia essentially spams you with her romance event, the RNG for initiating Dei's romance event is deceptively low, for some reason.
You guys weren't kidding, Gladiator class sucks ass for your main character. It's a gimmick class which can be fun in certain encounters but it never really excels at anything. I made a new save with my main guy as an archer and I'm having a lot more fun.
>I made a new save with my main guy as an archer and I'm having a lot more fun.
Archers are giga strong in this game with interrupt/overwatch build, so good choice anon
>I made a new save with my main guy as an archer and I'm having a lot more fun.

Julius Caesar was 48 when he personally fought and lead his troops on the frontlines at the Battle of Alesia and was 55 when he died and was planning a military campaign into Parthia. Crassus was in his 60s when he died at the Battle of Carrhae. Was it normal in Roman society to have old fricks regularly going into active combat like this? You don't even see active duty soldiers this old going into battlefields today
They didn't fight in the front lines usually. Besides, I may be missremembering, but wasn't the campaign supposed to be Danube and after that Parthia?
The military leaders weren't fighting face to face, but of course you need to be able to command your troops, so it carried the risk of death, if the battle was lost.
Thats an interesting observation, though its not like we dont have colonels and generals that are like 55. Getting killed in combat would be extremely unusual (unless youre russian) but I imagine it all stems from ability to communicate. If you need to be within the range of a courier/flag/whistle/trumpet/whatever to issue orders then you sure as shit can get in trouble
As the saying goes you don't use it, you lose it. So while an old guy still heading out to the front seems ridiculous he isn't vegging out on a couch for most of his life.
People back then usually lived active lives. Manual work, being outside for most of the year, walking or riding everywhere, healthy natural sources of food. Add plenty of sun in case of Rome/Greece and very healthy local diet and there is no reason why these old fricks should not be pretty healthy and ready to roll. Besides, most of the higher CO staff nowadays are about the same age.
Well, they had personal bodyguards when they had to wade into the thick of things. Battles after the initial engagement were almost down to coinflips since generals had to make a choice between sitting way back and observing to move reserves around or risk the front line completely breaking and causing a route.
Caesar didn't just wade into battle because he liked it. He only went to the front when a crucial part of the line needed the extra morale boost. Really, ancient battles were 30% tactics and 70% just stopping your side from running away; it's why the Roman army, which was a professional army, shitfricked the known world for a thousand years.
>where do I begin
With Expeditions Rome. Previous ones are very janky, and every installment is a huge jump in quality.
If you really like Rome then you can try Vikings
Idk about _entire_ series being good, but Rome sure as shit was well made and fun.
Rome is probably the most polished entry with the biggest production values, but the rest of the series is good as well, if you can stomach all the jank.
Conquistador is more of a "proof of concept" game - it's good, but it plays more like historical King's Bounty with survival mechanics and you can feel the devs trying to figure out the kinks of how the game is supposed to be played. It's not a bad game, by any means, just different from the rest. The series really comes onto its own with Viking, and Rome is just a bigger, badder, more polished version of Viking.
I really like the portrait implementation in this game. For shit low-quality sprites you have these nice, giant portraits that do all the conversing. More crpgs should do that.
Nah, party member are more fullfilling than the Cleo one, because Cleo's just essentialy a one night stand.
As for the endings - there are two main endings with three-four variations each.
In ancient Rome a woman's main purpose is to bear, raise and protect children.
That's why I prefer left, she'll give you strong jawed sons and her build is perfect, not too fat not too muscled, literally perfect athletic body for any season or endeavor. Right looks very weak in the face and too bulky in the body, probably struggles with mobility, flexibility and has higher chances of getting fat and lazy, she'll survive the winters sure but that's not enough. People back then cared far less about personality and more about what they gain out of being together.
Finished the game last night, went with the Emperor ending. I heard that the first part of the final battle of this route was tedious but it was pretty easy for me. I guess it really depends on how strong your generic praetorians are. Mine were pretty strong and properly equipped so they cut through the streets pretty quickly.
Deianira going full warmonger was pretty funny, I just wish she had a better ending. At least Julia gives you kids.
>Protect the official pacification quest. >As second pacification quest I get in the game.
What the FRICK were they thinking? This has to be the most bullshit fight in the game by far. I legit feel like my save got bricked unless I lower the difficulty, this is unbeatable.
This was by far the hardest mission in the game, if thats any comfort. Its a really moronic mission that requires dumb AI to cooperate (and not be suicidal) and quite a bit of luck
It also was a shock-learning for me about how this game needs to be played on highest difficulty, so if you do come out on the other end at least you will be pretty good at the game at that point
I gave up after trying all day yesterday. I just don't have the resources right now, I haven't even done the temple of Apollyon this playthrough yet. I'll come back again after a while.
Really fricking frustrating because this was the region with the mine and I wanted to unlock the armory as soon as possible.

Perhaps. But they made such a great game. Arguably one of the best cprgs to come out in the past 5 or so years. To end now when they can do so much more, especially considering how far they've come with their formula.
Why’d they shut the studio?
NFTs
For a literal meme?
imagine making one of the best CRPGs in recent memory and then shuttering the studio to waste all your money on a fricking meme
none of their previous games were profitable
I don't think anyone expected Rome to be this successful
I bet they regret that decision now. Rome ended up making bank and had double the player count of their previous games. One more entry into the Expedition series and they could have easily put themselves on the map like Owlcat, Larian, and InXile did. But they let go of all that for a fricking meme.
Julia >>>>
Can you meet any philosophers in this game?
Cicero and Cato if you count them.
That's cool, gotta check out how they hold up then
>Cato
Elder or younger?
Younger
Cicero and Cato are both pretty important characters.
Left gives you children and right does not
Left it is
Left gives you children in all the endings you have with her whether you become the Emperor of Rome or frick off into exile.
It's probably all in THQ's hands now doubt the devs have much say
I want a bronze age expeditions. Set in babylon or something.
this, though I feel that it's going to be japan or something like that
Expeditions: Crusader.
I'd play that.
Only if based on the First Crusade. You play as a norman/frankish nobleman (maybe let the player choose) and can at the end become Guardian of the Holy Sepulchre, declare yourself king or strike a deal with the Byzantines.
>Expeditions: Crusader.
Only if it based on 1396 setting
only good crusade game would be for first crusade, so you can actually win at the end
What about Expeditions: Mongols, where you take the place of a shipwrecked survivor of the failed naval invasion of Japan.
Islands and survival are borring in RPGs. But reconnaissance raid of 1221-1223 would be fun
>where you take the place of a shipwrecked survivor of the failed naval invasion of Japan.
>Not Expeditions Mongol where you play as Subutai's vanguard/scout and participating in conquest of China, Khwarezm, Caucasian mountains, Cuman steppe, Russia, Poland and Hungary
>Only if it based on 1396 setting
Surely we can all agree that getting to behead 2k habibis after the fall of Acre in 1191 as Richard LH, or his replacement, would be based
It would be an interesting game from game-design perspective
Expeditions: Modern War Fighter
Expedition: Donbass and you play as Strelkov
Expeditions: Pirate
I think Expeditions: Caribbean would fit the naming system better.
But that would probably be a pretty cool setting for an expeditions game.
You are right, it does sound better. And I think it would, stories basically wrote themselves, madlads back then did some insane stuff irl. So many colorful personalities to pick from.
More pirates games are always welcome
you play as polish crusader and because there is beer in Holy Land you stay home
pope understand
the end
>Expeditions:Bronze Age
>You play one of the Sea Peoples and raid, and destroy, the rest of the Bronze Age world
Expeditions: Tercio
Classes can be based around the specific units of a tercio: Arquebusier, pikeman, rodelero(sword and shield), fencer (rapier and dagger)
I am pretty sure the devs moved on to developing NFT games, just finishing up Expeditions DLC due to contract.
So no more Expeditions.
No, only the main dev and some of the team did.
They started a new studio.
Nothing else has happened to this studio or the games.
Dei, gotta civilize the barbarians one way or another.
Also, anyone else here disappointed that we didn't get an Italy campaign after crossing the Rubicon if you decide to go Empire?
>Kill Lurco
>Save my friends
>Frick off to egypt and be co-rulers with the QT queen
Overall a pretty good ending aside from losing like 3 fathers/father-figures over the course of the story
Any good Roman mam should only seek a woman who is chaste, pious and fertile. To choose a woman who is loose, ungodly, and barren will be the doom of his house.
>Any good Roman mam should only seek a woman who is chaste, pious and fertile
As a wife. He can frick whoever she wants, as long as she's independently wealthy, already has kids, and is pushing 40.
What's the deal with the cat priestess, she feels like a cut companion.
pretty much
>tfw no cat priestess pussy
double checked
the pussy's pussy must be very based
Dei is so cute and shy!
>is barren
Is Reaper still stupid overpowered?
You need to put a little thought in when you want to use it now
It's still really strong but not as stupid as it was on release
So how was the Gladiator class in the end? Worth picking over Princeps? The early game sure as frick was rough with it.
Its a weird class thats neither tank or dps. Works best with a pike imho as basically offtank/debuffer/displacer
>Terrifying presence is super strong, use itc with Frighten and you can route 3-4 enemies in one turn without even using your AP
>Attract is also very strong when you combine it with AoO and Interrupt from archers
>Entire Murmillo tree is garbage apart from Safeguard, which is a must
>archers will rek you
Pretty sure on lower difficulties this class can work fine, but on Insane its pretty shit, not as bad as Veles but still weakest out of the usable classes for sure.
Hmm... should I burn her alive?
I kinda like the idea
Who is that? I don't think I've ever seen her.
It's probably DLC.
Iurca, shes from the gladiator dlc
That's pretty much the only reason she exists
You can use her as a sacrifice in the last druid mission instead of a slave/praetorian/an eye without any consequence.
Yes anon thats why he was asking if he should burn her
why not bang her instead
What did Septimus mean by this?
Black people bring bad luck.
I'd choose the one on the right if she actually gave you kids. b***h is built like a brickhouse, she should be a baby factory. But only the tomboy gives you kids so I go with her.
cleopatra's breasts every single time
hmm between these two
i'd choose Cleopatra
How is this game? it looks cool is it any good?
Yes, actually. Probably one of the best RPGs in the last 5 years. A lot of branching paths, choices and consequences, likeable companions, fun, turned-based combat, huge amount of content, decent waifus. I only wish the crazy cat priestess was romancable.
I really like the games setting and look. How do the game's mechanics differ from other RPGs?
Rome's #1 strength that ets it apart from more traditional party based rpgs is pretty complex and slick tactical combat, which is definitely the main hook
Theres a free demo on Steam btw
>pretty complex and slick tactical combat
can you elaborate. I'll check out the demo
>Victory condition:
>Die with honour
Uh oh
IT'S TIME FOR LEGATE TO LET IT REAPER
pc's mother is a prostitute
Just got the game and picked Veles and Assassin as my starting class/sub-class.
How fricked am I?
Also holy shit Caesar just got merc'd. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say I'm taking his place in history.
Veles isn't too bad, problem is you already have Bestia and Veles is the kind of class you really only want one of except for very specific missions. You can still make it work though.
Depends what difficulty youre playing on
On Insane Veles is by far the worst class since enemies have far too much hp to get your chain going and veles has almost no synergy with your core shields+spears block, also glancing blows start being a problem.
On lower difficulties I imagine the class can be very strong though, especially on open maps where you can Marathon your way to the enemy leader
Veles sucks ass
>Thinking of starting another playthrough
>Not even sure if I want to turn Deianeira into a gladiator because the class sucks so much ass I think I'd honestly rather just have a second princeps
The class shines later one once you start stacking retaliation chance, by act 3 I had Deianeria countering basically every hit and she even has a few unique lines when she pulls it off. But yeah overall it's a pretty underwhelming class.
I never actually tried the Gladiator class. Is it worth it? Or should I just stick to Princeps?
It is very easy to get 90% base retaliation chance if you forge your own shit and no you don't need a unique to get multiple counters per turn
I'm glad people are talking about this. A low level of pozz, can treat women like women to an extent, and great combat. I really hope they do more.
August 12 should finally reveal if this game is getting more dlc or not.
It's because the writing isn't woke. Even the black gladiator has far more to him than being the token minority.
True enough. Played some more of this and starting to enjoy this, even the combat. The first few hours are sadly somewhat off-putting, when you don't have enough skill points and the available actions for the player are limited. Kinda like low level DnD.
is this game any good if you care about history ? I saw that you can become the first emperor and it annoyed me with its blatant protagonist fellation
But Caesar wasn't an emperor.
Technically correct, but most people think of him as Rome's first emperor.
Many more think he WOULD have named himself Emperor if he hadn't been assassinated.
so what's Augustus doing?
Off being coddled by his generals like the entitled prick he was before being thrust into leadership of Rome.
Frick all? Caesar dies a young man, long before he ever helps Augustus accomplish anything.
Little off-topic that at one point all pretorians i can recruit become Blacks?
> half of my centurions are sub-saharan africans. Why are people claiming this is not a woke game
It's a calculated concession. Devs have to pick their battles. This is one of the few concessions to SJ politics and doesn't really affect the game since you can just ignore them. I don't begrudge them a few black character portraits considering most of the game is free of woke shit.
>concession
that concession is not necessary. Kingdom Come was all white. Devs are limp-wristed cowards
I have no problem if they was optional, but in middle after Egypt, all of my centurions choices is blacks, i am on Gallia now, and it's still same.
Can you romance Cleopatra and still end up as emperor? Neither Deianeira or Julia Calida are very interesting, so I was thinking of going with her.
Technically you can, but you only get Cleopatra romance ending if you go for Exile ending. Otherwise, she's not brought up.
Shame. Is the choice near the ending, so I can just make a save before and check the others? Haven't finished the game yet, still in Africa.
While Julia essentially spams you with her romance event, the RNG for initiating Dei's romance event is deceptively low, for some reason.
both are ugly dykes
>insulting my wife and mother of my (future) child Deianeira
She would break your neck with her thighs like a twig you little shit
Both are straight who want your wiener
Left looks like the wrong head was put on the wrong body.
Right is a stronk israelitefu.
So neither.
Also dont miss the bow in the Apollo temple
left cause reverse trap is cool
Dont know what game, right looks pretty tho
Expeditions Rome
It's pretty fun
Thats my wife, Deianeira, and thank you, she is indeed very pretty.
Antigonus I Monophthalmus died in battle at 81 lysimachus in battle at 79. That's just how it was back then
human race is degrading anon
we are dumber, weaker and live shorter than even before
So, are we to expect some new DLC for this game, or was the Arena one the only one we will be getting?
I want the autistic catgirl as my waifu.
This is probably the only DLC we're getting since the company turned into a NFT developer.
The key staff is still there
So what? Its called a job.
Why do they look like they are in a generic "free" android game?
So you can play for free, my lord.
They dont at all tho, this game has some pretty high quality art
It's Heracles, not Hercules morons.
Greeko*d detected
The choice is obvious
So some of these images piqued my interest, did some searching, and I see it's from a series called "Expeditions." See a couple on Steam.
Is the series ACTUALLY good?
Are they all good, or just one or two entries?
Should I wait for the bundle to be on megasale?
tl;dr - As someone who never heard of this before right now, where do I begin?
>where do I begin
The series really comes onto its own with Viking, and Rome is just a bigger, badder, more polished version of Viking.
conquistadors are janky, you may like it or not
vikings are kind of boring
So how would you guys rank the chapters?
Asia Minor > Roma > Gallia > Africa
I really like the portrait implementation in this game. For shit low-quality sprites you have these nice, giant portraits that do all the conversing. More crpgs should do that.
You frick one of your party members AND Cleopatra, right?
i only fricked cleo because i thought that made her my queenfu in the ending
3 party romances (2 straight + 1 gae) + cleo
Cleopatra for me.
So is it best just to avoid trying to romance party members and simply bang Cleopatra?
Are there more complicated endings to the game this time compared to the previous two?
Nah, party member are more fullfilling than the Cleo one, because Cleo's just essentialy a one night stand.
As for the endings - there are two main endings with three-four variations each.
>Cleo's just essentialy a one night stand.
She has her own ending.
not if you're emperor
Who wants to be emperor when you can be king and also have a smoking hot wife?
This, being emperor just means you're a bigger target for some shitters
So, any of you soothsayer anons want to read into the devs words and tell us if more dlc is coming or not?
In ancient Rome a woman's main purpose is to bear, raise and protect children.
That's why I prefer left, she'll give you strong jawed sons and her build is perfect, not too fat not too muscled, literally perfect athletic body for any season or endeavor. Right looks very weak in the face and too bulky in the body, probably struggles with mobility, flexibility and has higher chances of getting fat and lazy, she'll survive the winters sure but that's not enough. People back then cared far less about personality and more about what they gain out of being together.
If you could breed her like the other b***hes, then Dei all day every day. But since you can't, Cleo 4 lyfe.
Too bad you can't frick your sister.
disgusting
God I wish.
I agree. Also, why the frick we can't do her? Incest is a roman custom ffs.
That's only for degenerate Roman emperors.
Why did they have to make her so hot? Made me want to go down the incest route, even though I don't even like incest.
>hot
Finished the game last night, went with the Emperor ending. I heard that the first part of the final battle of this route was tedious but it was pretty easy for me. I guess it really depends on how strong your generic praetorians are. Mine were pretty strong and properly equipped so they cut through the streets pretty quickly.
Deianira going full warmonger was pretty funny, I just wish she had a better ending. At least Julia gives you kids.
I FOLLOW MY PATH
YOU FOLLOW YOUR WRATH
BUT MAYBE WE ARE BOTH THE SAME
THE WORLD HAS TURNED
AND SO MANY HAVE BURNED
