I literally thought this was a Pokemon open world sim with character creation but I have no fricking idea what I'm looking at anymore.

People have been fantasizing about open world pokemon for decades, how is that in any way related to some industry crash? The AAA industry already crashed by the way.

The medium has reached the level of film/TV where it cannot fully crash because it's just that ingrained into the pastimes of people the world over, but there are bubbles that will and have been bursting, particularly live service games (started last year, will take 2-3 more to fully take effect given the slow dev cycles and turnaround rates of major companies) and soon blockbuster AAAA games will burst too (Spider-Man 2 not making a profit on 7 Million sales is a harbinger).

We're literally seeing the same exact things that led to the crash of 1983, but since everything is so much cheaper and more accessible, there's no crash.

Generic survival crafting #974 where you catch monsters and have them automate things for you, and then you sit back and let the game play itself, because thats what you want from a game.

This game doesn't appeal to me, but its hard to feel bad for Nintendo or gamefreak. They've had nearly 30 years to just make what people wanted I.e. a console next-gen pokemon experience, hell even an MMO. They did not, and now they're reaping what they sow
Palworld is literally just Conan Exiles had a baby with Pokémon (with guns ofc).
Conan Exile is problematic. Please only compare Palword to ARK:Survival Evolved.
