They actually scrapped the 1st iteration that got dunked by fans and allegedly stated they didn't even want to publish that first, it was just a way to toy with the engine which is why there was so much unnecessary shit like a torch in the middle of an wildfire

They didn't port it for nintentards, they did it for consoomers gothic fans who are gonna buy the game again and again just to "prove" how real diehard fans they are. Even when there's no point playing this game outside of pc with the amount of mods it has there plus the clunky controls for a controller

don't know. I've only played the PC version.
My only complaint about it is the massive disc size of Terminal Cut (like 14 GB irrc). I'm gonna assume it's probably due to 4k textures which is understandable. Still I feel like they could have found a better solution rather than bloat the game like this.

pretty sure people who are not cut out for it will drop the game immediately after starting it and realizing there's no minimap or goal point to follow. Everyone's reloading the game after being defeated in Gothic anyway, so this one is not too much of a big deal.

It's shit. I can tell, i've beat it easily ten times or more. Plot is trash and game relies entirely on sidequests, combat went downhill from second game and I can't even call it fun anymore. But then again, I was coming back to it over ten times, world is insanely impressive, classic Gothic feel of progression is still there, there are feels to be felt in there. Guess you'll have to make your own choice on whether it's worth your time to even try it, but despite being objectively meh, this game sure has something to offer.
