Holy shit you're moronic, you're the one getting off to furry girls getting fricked by other furries while you watch in the corner instead of wanting to frick them yourself.
>saving the species by having Ratchet frick his own interdimensional counterpart aka himself aka basically doing nothing but secondhand masturbation
Lol
I'm so sick of the moronic furgay shippers using that moronic excuse when the lombaxes aren't even endangered but are all living in their own dimension.
This.
Also Ratchet doesn't even have any rizz (remember that awkward dialogue with Angela at the end of GC? I'd be having that b***h sitting on my lap!) And even if he did have rizz he wouldn't know what to do with that. He himself looks and sounds like he gets bent over by gay furries on a daily basis.
He's literally rizzing that girl bot in that same cutscene I mentioned while Ratchet looks away nervous like a pussy

I always found it so odd that the girl who did this upgrade looked vaguely like a leftover Spyro character
>RC1 = platformer with weapons >GC onwards = shooter with platforms
Strafing in RC1 is completely irrelevant in the first game if ur aware how it works. Even when the thruster pack let's u strafe, I myself never needed to use it once.
Also Ratchet doesn't look like a twink power bottom furry and intentionally sounds like Johnny Test.
The sequels are strafe2win and Insomniac has never fixed it because they think it's a baby franchise that can't have even the tiniest pretense of depth.
It's not the worst thing in the world but it definitely should have been longer.
There's just dick all in the way of side content. It's linear and what's there is definitely fun the first time you go through it but it's repetitive as it re-uses the same few bosses and enemies relying on the combat arenas to give it variety.
It's very different to the PS2 quadrilogy.

The first Ratchet & Clank game is objectively the best game in the series
Elementary school hype was all time high with Gladiator, didnt meet expectations but was pretty good, the consensus amongst kids was that Ratchet 3 was the best.
2 was cool aswell, for some reason the tractor beam was a Hot topic.
And 1 was cool aswell, slower but fun Its what kids said.
3 was definetely undisputed but It speaks worlds how great 1 and 2 were that kids were still talking about them years later.
Meteor Gun was far superior imo. Last time I played it, I remember it being one of the weapons with the best damage input. I personally liked to switch between it and the Blitz Cannon during arena fights and I'd be downing foes quick. I also just like how it "pop-pop-pops" the blazed chunks out and its also more conservative of its ammo depletion.
With the Lava Gun it was still cool how it worked, it was probably the only one weapon in the game that encouraged u to NOT strafe, as u'd have to do circles and piss all the lava around u for effect. Literally how u'd use the Pyrocitor.
I think the point is that the Lava Gun was cool and unique, and then you upgrade it and it just becomes another pea shooter. I mean it's a good pea shooter don't get me wrong but it's a huge disappointment

nta
but iirc, the fire plumes from the impacts the meteors make as they hit the ground can actually damage enemies on top of the meteors themselves
it's a pretty interesting way to have a lingering area denial effect akin to the lava stream on the v1 gun
I disagree, if only because the amount of actual XP needed to level up the weapon once in 2 is roughly the same as what it takes for all five levels in 3. It felt more rewarding to get incremental upgrades. That and the challenge mode upgrades in 2 are a fricking chore to get
Completely, categorically false. 1 is a clunky piece of garbage in comparison to its descendants. The following games are all superior: >Going Commando >Deadlocked >Up Your Arsenal >Crack in Time (best game in the franchise) >Possibly Rift Apart but why the frick would I own a PS5
I'd play it over Tools and Nexus though, I'll give you that.
>Deadlock
This game got shit on more then it deserved. While having some faults it was still fun. However it got really repetitive, and when i did a playthrough of the series again about a year back, i had to force myself through deadlock.
Oh in terms of a like play? Yeah it plays probably the best because tof how they eventually just tied the fricking camera to the back so it played like a great 3rd person shooter, its just it felt like it lacked everywhere else.
Felt like they went >Hey remember how fun that arena content was in Going commando and up your arsanal? >Oh yeah that really hlped break up the game and give some neat challenges >What if we made an entire game that?
Wait what...
I love Gladiator. Its a game that doesnt bloat shit and doesnt try to do what it doesnt have to. Direction and concept is simple but they knew what they want that game to be and its cool. Core gameplay is focused and better than in any other Ratchet game in my opinion.
They meant that I'll be Going Commando right before I'm Up Your Arsenal and you'll be Deadlocked by my Tools of Destruction that's leading my Quest for Booty otherwise known as your Crack in Time before it disappears Into the Nexus of your nether regions as they Rift Apart.
Tools is literally UYA with next gen graphics and somehow u can't play that one?
Nexus is also playable even tho it's literally just a bunch of recycled FFA slop.
ToD is odd. It's the last of the OG composer. The game had decent amount of planets and played/looked great but for some reason it's ignored or shat on
Pixar-fication aside, CiT had the peak series defining play mechs before they downgraded the series by recycling FFA controls.
I don't know about game design but the reboot looks and feels like they just skinned over the FFA engine and made it look modern. While Rift Apart in turn looks like they reskinned the reboot and further modernized that, actually they probably just added the ray tracing shit and called it "next gen" but at least the characters no longer look soulless.
Agreed, the relationship between the two is very cozy and I liked the twist at the end. 2 is probably the next best and 3rd being the 3rd best. Gladiator was okay, but it felt too much of a spin off
Ratchet and Clank on PS2 was my entry point into playing video games. I didn't even know english back then (non-anglo European), didn't understand the plot but the game was cool
Yeah and it's even cooler to see how far they've come from RC1 to CiT. CiT is where u can truly end the franchise, literally everything afterwards is troon slop.
I felt like an absolute gigabrain after that, especially considering that the game straight up lies to you and tells you that theres only 3 gold bolts on Kerwan
Incorrect.
Ratchet and clank going commando was the best in the series. It was a direct upgrade in every way to 1 had an insane amount of content and mechanics for the time, and had insane replay.
Up your arsenals would have been even better BUT morons at Sony demanded online content which resulted in a lot of content being cut in favor of the weird MP maps being part of the game.
I'd go further and say it's the only legitimately great one. I revisited them recently after setting up my PS2 again and Going Commando in particular bored the frick out of me, the level design is so full of flat empty spaces to make room for hordes of cannon fodder you just strafe jump to death every time and where there is platforming it feels segmented from the shooting instead of integrating one into the other. People talk about how lame Ratchet is in the PS3 titles onwards but you can feel the seeds of that as early on as GC.
>It was a direct upgrade in every way
Every single sequel I've regularly read described this way has been a disappointment without any exceptions.
Honestly I feel the same, and I also happened to play it for the first time a couple weeks ago. The worlds don't feel nearly as alive as they do in the Jak & Daxter series, which is the main thing I'd compare it to. The platforming is honestly pretty low-tier and the game mostly revolves around just killing things. The boss fights are hot garbage, but at least there's only a few. I was really disappointed by those. I was a but surprised by how I actually found Clank's personality better than Ratchet's for most of the game.
>playing Deadlocked 4 player mode with a friend bringing over the addon that allowed it during one of my birthday parties
Honestly that was a fun sleepover.
Absolutely incredible. For three of those you can even include their fourth games and they'd still be good (poor Spyro). These companies need to go back and take a good hard long look at these.
>get to the "Insomniac Museum" of the remake >It's a tiny ass garage >Just has some concept art on the walls and models from the original game laying around
So fricking soulless
The one in 2 that has an "exhibit" showing off the particle effect generator and let you create your own is SO fricking cool and probably the only example of something like that in a game
Did they really remove the platforming and turn Ratchet and Clank into a brain dead third person shooter after the first game? Or was that Jak and Daxter? I always confuse the two.

I find it my favorite due to the nice mix of 1's openeness (tabora and grelbin, levels still have side paths, even get stuff like the sideboss on oozla and 2 arenas) even if it's lategame/challenge mode gameplay weapon balance was the worst of the og trilogy.
Seriously what were they thinking with the gadgetron weapons.
I like grelbin. The YETI windup issue is annoying but it makes for a fun challenge and I like the hangliding section. The hypno gadget parts are kinda weird though, they got a beta feeling too them, probably cause the devs made it in like 3 days iirc.
Snivelak is fun too up until the boss.
2 has maybe the best gadget variety and the best clank sections. 3 had pretty weak gadgets I noticed.
Also I had a huge false memory where I thought the hydrolyzer returned in 2, I could've sworn I remembered having to use it alongside the thermonator in 2. They really should have brought it back there.
i remember being a wee lad and contacting insomniac begging for an xbox port because i was a child and didnt know why not all games were on all platforms, insomniac actually got back to me and as kindly as possible said it wasnt going to happen
No, the one with Rivet is the best one because I want to have sex with her.

I'm not having a ton of fun with it.
No strafe.
this is an issue but
is kinda right.
First game has the best story and atmosphere and it's actually somewhat difficult
The game actually had strafe in it, you could only do it with the jet clank booster while hovering.
>Ratchet was too moronic to crabwalk in the original game
>RC1 = platformer with weapons

Strafing in RC1 is completely irrelevant in the first game if ur aware how it works. Even when the thruster pack let's u strafe, I myself never needed to use it once.

Ironic since they made ratchet cause they were sick of Spyro and wanted to make a shooter cause it was mature.
Do Lombax's have pubes?
Do their what have pubes? That isn't a complete sentence
as opposed to being bare exclusively around their genitals?
Considering thats how it works with dogs, yes
Had more fun with Going Commando but frankly I think the first four games are all pretty good.
Ratchet and Clank is a metroidvania.
No but it should be
It definitely is because it's all about getting x upgrade(/gun) to proceed.
Yeah I get it but it's still nothing too complex
Is Rift Apart good?
Not particularly. Basically just an expensive tech demo with a bad plot
Is Rift Apart an anus joke?
They stopped with the innuendos (at least intentionally) after All 4 One was denied the 4-Play and Multiple Organisms subtitles.
It's not the worst thing in the world but it definitely should have been longer.

Maybe this is weird, but I like that the weapons DON'T level up
I think rc2 only upgrading once is a decent compromise.
Weapon upgrades are so meaningless from 3 onwards.
Upgrading ur weapon once actually felt more rewarding once u got it.
(Pic related)
Except for the lava gun "upgrade"
they fixed that in 3 with the liquid nitrogen gun
Meteor Gun was far superior imo. Last time I played it, I remember it being one of the weapons with the best damage input. I love Gladiator. Its a game that doesnt bloat shit and doesnt try to do what it doesnt have to. Direction and concept is simple but they knew what they want that game to be and its cool. Core gameplay is focused and better than in any other Ratchet game in my opinion.

name a better streak
The PS2 Ace Combat trilogy
It's always a toss up between 1 and 3 for me. 1 is just so fricking good
first game feels too similar to a PS1 game
I would also include Sly Cooper 1, 2 and 3, though i would say the order would be 2>3>>>>>>>>>>>1
All fricking amazing. I long for the day when they're all Decomped
>Decomped
What you mean?
Source code is decompiled so native PC ports can be made.
Jak 1 and 2 already have them
Right, but'd kinda still rather play the originals even with the emulator software mode and all i guess, yeah i'm that guy.
>but'd
but i'd*
Bro... a decomp version is literally more accurate than an emulated version.
Absolutely incredible. For three of those you can even include their fourth games and they'd still be good (poor Spyro). These companies need to go back and take a good hard long look at these.
I'm so fricking mad that capeshit ruined Insomniac forever
>Insomniac stuck making superhero games
>Naughty Dog "stuck" making movie games
Feels bad man.
When Naughty Dog knew the meaning of SOVL
Both of these companies have been drained of sovl
Both of these companies have become oversaturated with troons
and now these companies make 1 game per console generation and they aren't as good
A man of taste
I liked Deadlocked. It was the last PS2 game by Insomniac. They moved to Resistance afterwards.
I loved visiting the PS2 Insomniac Museums, same with all the extras you could unlock like the making of videos and the commercials they aired.
>get to the "Insomniac Museum" of the remake
>It's a tiny ass garage
>Just has some concept art on the walls and models from the original game laying around
So fricking soulless
The water in 2 museum I think was crazy, miiverse water autist would have shit himself, didn’t think the PS2 was capable
The one in 2 that has an "exhibit" showing off the particle effect generator and let you create your own is SO fricking cool and probably the only example of something like that in a game
Great stage
?si=VdI0FAnv491xScYl
>Tries to kill Ratchet
>Is a total fraud
>Has Megaman style 2D platforming stages
>fricks a space monkey
this series has always been garbage shit for furrytroons
That's only cuz Insoyniac started replacing their veterans with troons.
I was so pissed when every game started to incorporate achievements and they didn't work like R&C skillpoints
Going Commando is definitely one of the best PS2 exclusives.
Why the frick can't I play any of these games on my ps5?
Rivetgays were the worst thing to happen to these threads
It wasn't so bad at first, it was the annoying shippergay that ruined Rivet posting.
No. Rivetposting has always been awful
Storywise...probably yes. On all other aspects 2 and 3 are way better though, despite all of them being 10/10 games.
Why did insomniac stop making ratchet and clank games after the PS3 generation?
because killzone became more popular for a moment
anyone?
Cuz normies and troons would rather play Spidey
up your arsenal is the best game and im tired of pretending its not just because le youtuber man says so
Did they really remove the platforming and turn Ratchet and Clank into a brain dead third person shooter after the first game? Or was that Jak and Daxter? I always confuse the two.
no. they had less sections but they kept platforming well on to the ps2 ports of the psp games.
Jak was the one that abandoned platforming for the 4th game
Ratchet games up to Crack in time still have healthy and balanced amount of platforming and puzzle sections with guns and gadgets. Jak 2 is already too action focused and is GTA lite and then they double down on that shit in Jak 3 with car combat and other non platforming stuff. Jak X is based though.
Based on what?
The platforming has always been segmented, why does it matter
ratchet's bare feet!
Look weird
True and based, then it's 3 then 2 then ACIT then gladiator
Nah, that's Going Commando.
R&C1 is underrated whereas Up Your Arsenal is overrated.
First is best. Second is my fav.
GC has too many shit parts for it to ever be close to being the best for me
I find it my favorite due to the nice mix of 1's openeness (tabora and grelbin, levels still have side paths, even get stuff like the sideboss on oozla and 2 arenas) even if it's lategame/challenge mode gameplay weapon balance was the worst of the og trilogy.

I prefer the GC armor
carbonox is god tier
I vent decide between the two. They're both well done. Hell, I'll put Ratchet's Deadlocked Armour up there. The Crusader was the best color palette.
The infernox makes him look like a member of the Enclave from Fallout
Hopes, dreams, expectations?
for the love of god no more nefarious
pc port of a rated mature ratchet game
the first game is like Zelda Wind Waker but not shit, 2 onward is Halo in third person, then the PS3 ones are a mix of both.
Yes
Deadlocked is the best game in the franchise and I'm tired of pretending that it's not
i remember being a wee lad and contacting insomniac begging for an xbox port because i was a child and didnt know why not all games were on all platforms, insomniac actually got back to me and as kindly as possible said it wasnt going to happen
Your heart was pure
I miss when they got creative with the weapons in Ratchet and Clank rather than rehash the same shit.
