You lack vision, you are dumber than the AI you insult except the AI will prove useful to society and not you. If you can't see the usefulness of npcs being able to conversate with the player, then you are dumber than a vegetable.
>DUDE RADIANT QUESTS ARE SO FRICKING EPIC!!!
go roleplay as a troon in your shitty gamebryo engine and frick off back to twitter then you UTTER homosexual. why don't you go watch some more THING as an 80's dark fantasy movie. 2 more weeks girl!
>dumbest and most nonsensical gibberish ever uttered on this board
You must pride yourself in being dumber than an inanimate object. No sector in society would suffer from you killing yourself. It would in fact be a great relief for your parents and for yourself.
oh wow look a glorified markov chain text generator with orders of magnitude more processing and
storage space bloat to deliver a "convincing" result that quickly breaks down if you ask it to do anything more than bullshitting
yeah let's fill every creative job with ai and leave all the soul crushing, uncreative, ai-suited work for humans! you will love ai! you will you will eat ze bugs! and you WILL be happy!
>Can you forge me a sword >Yes >Pls make me >Sorry, the AI can only write text back, it can't influence the game in any way, so this peasant can't actually make you a sword, it can only tell you that he can make a sword. Also, the thing he say may or may not be factually correct or represented in game cause the AI may also be stupid and make shit up.
I guess it's kinda neat? But this doesn't affect the game in any way, does it?
Like, can you actually get the game to generate a quest based on the conversations?
What I'm seeing now is just a browser ai chat thing integrated into a game.
it wont be that hard to integrate actual actions with selected phrases, it would just take time.
then it will be something like >all NPCs can have in depth dialogues >but really you know they can all only do x,y,z actions
There were literally RPG games that let you write your own responses back in the fricking 90s and they didn't need AI shit to generate a canned response based on some keywords
>Expecting good dialogue from a service that can't even be controlled without feeding it specific statements to spew >Which means people are still just writing dialogue
Really fricking cool, but I don't know how you could integrate this to mainstream games because nobody would want to be typing all the time and if you don't ask the right questions you could get stuck.
It's probably going to be very niche.
This is interesting integration, and is a cool use of GPT. However, in any current state, it won't work for a variety of reasons but one of those reasons is tone. They're talking in a very 'modern' lingo, and in any good RPG you need the characters to have a certain alien quality about them. This doesn't capture that at all.
What would our future robot overlords think of Israel ?
Wish I knew how to implement this shit myself into games that would be great with AI dialogue
Ok but I don't want to have conversations with NPC's so how does this improve the actual game
Go and be boring somewhere else
why are you here? go chat with a AI

Okay now do it with a good game

>Yes I can make a sword
incredible.
no its not, thats too much waiting.
oh wow look a glorified markov chain text generator with orders of magnitude more processing and

still more interesting than stranger of shit
>another ai shill thread
yeah let's fill every creative job with ai and leave all the soul crushing, uncreative, ai-suited work for humans! you will love ai! you will you will eat ze bugs! and you WILL be happy!
Just give me the tools to make a true successor to DeS, Bloodborne and Sekiro, Myazaki-san, you will be proud of me...
>Can you forge me a sword
>Yes

It's literally the same effort as writing a script yourself and adding flags so certain actions happen.
Tell me again, what's the point of AI?
There were literally RPG games that let you write your own responses back in the fricking 90s and they didn't need AI shit to generate a canned response based on some keywords
>be gamer
>be autist
>Hey look, we're adding the option of being able to socialize with AI in games
>...
Why?
If the game is well done, there should be the option to barely say anything at all
Once it becomes low cost (CPU/GPU consumption wise) and easy to implement, yea sure.
>Expecting good dialogue from a service that can't even be controlled without feeding it specific statements to spew
>Which means people are still just writing dialogue
I'm scared boys. Sure, it looks stupid now, but this is tech that will only improve faster and faster.
It doesn't help that I'm a writer.
>tech that will only improve faster and faster.
just like VR. AR. roccketships. medical care....hmmm
the future only get's worse
ChatGPT -> Neuralink -> Borg
the future is grim
that's just fantasy tech.
none of it will exist
How long until an AI can, literally connect to a tenga, while you're in VR, and communicate via generated voice and frick you that way I wonder.
Really fricking cool, but I don't know how you could integrate this to mainstream games because nobody would want to be typing all the time and if you don't ask the right questions you could get stuck.

too bad bannerlord sucks ass
