Valorant is boring. IIt's not bad, but nothing about it is good either. The maps feel bad, the matches feel static, etc.
I think Riot has lied a lot about popularity and has pumped up view counts on twitch and other social media places to hide the fact its bad.
Why not just show the pop counts in the API like valve does if its doing so great?
unironically prefer that over people who tryhard in fricking valorant, lol
wish they were better, though, i miss unreal tournament 04 and the godlike bots
Valorant is an ability game, not a tactical shooter.
90% of the game's outcome is when you use the ultimate for example or combining two abilities to bumfrick your opponent because the game is unbalanced as frick.
>great debate
How is this a debate? Valorant is csgo light with random abilities. Even got counter strike map makers and you can easily tell, shit is a joke
>good down to earth shooter vs muh animu weeb wacky voicelines and characters shooter
CS has always been nothing but CS for more than 2 decades and that thankfully won't change, and that's a good thing.
>far less cheaters >better elo system >faster matchmaking >more quality of life features >more responsive >more updates
Valorant is clearly the better game
>far less cheaters
the amount of closet cheaters on immortal+ is still the same as in CS, people just hide with it better and there's way more room for reasonable doubt >better elo system
your true rank is hidden and will frick you over in matchmaking and have you asking "why am I a diamond playing with and against immortals" >faster matchmaking
no >more quality of life features
like what, no replays? no map editor? no community servers? no offline play? no mods? no configs? no settings backups? basically no HUD customization? forced maps in MM? forced FOV, fricked viewmodel FOV on 4:3? having to restart your PC to play the game? do i need to keep going...? >more updates
that break the game more frequently and don't fix age-old bugs that are considered mechanics now for some reason (like brim molly visual bug when landed on top of a box or omen ult grabbing the spike, and many more)
rank isn't your MMR, you're matchmade on MMR and rank gradually shifts towards your MMR. That's why you gain more points on a win than you lose on a loss early in a season, they reset everyone ranks to be lower and let you "grind" to get it up to whatever level your MMR is
Also, combat isn't an accurate representation of skill outside of the lower ranks, someone playing smokes well has a massive effect on the game without necessarily showing it in kills etc.
I don't really care about the rank much and you can pretty easily see what it thinks your "true" rank is by when the numbers change the same for both wins and losses
I don't think the system is very good but I accept that it's there for people who want to be able to "grind" ranked
This kind of system isn't unique to valorant, it's pretty common for any game with the same kind of "badges" for ranks. You rarely see your true rank since people would schiz out at it constantly changing
Its crazy how Riot used advertisement to spread the lie they somehow, magically have a better anti-cheat than VALVE. Besides their chink spyware their anti-cheat is generic as it can be.
The real reason for less cheaters perception is that the CIS region doesn't care about Valorant.
Riot spreading lies via advertisements? Thats like their entire fricking MO lmao.
Remember then buying out DOTA-allstars with tencent's money and turning it into a giant middle finger to dota players by stealing the hero suggestion board and locking the website replacing it with an 'icefrog bad, riot good' drama post?
Only one of these games demands that I grant it root level access to my pc. No one cares that much about cheaters, they just want full access to everything on your computers.
if riot wants to look at porn with me they can go ahead, it is working 500 times better than VAC. i haven't met a cheater (or felt cheated) in valorant yet
Both are random unbalanced hitscanner games. I wish everyone would play those games with cheats so people just play better games instead of bothering with slow paced 1-shot trash
having played both games and a lot of 1.6 and CSS:
>CS2
Looks a lot better than GO
Loadouts are a mistake
Piss patterns suck ass and go against every shooter's logic
Everyone is a tryhard
Guns hurt a lot more than CSS
Danger Zone is the best BR iteration and yet its not included in 2
If you're into skins they look alright
>Valorant
The shooting is a lot better
Rito gaemz so balancing is all over the place
Mobile game tier graphics
Cringe characters/setting/lore
Skins are horrid
Everyone is a tryhard
Very newb friendly for better or for worst
Chinise spyware of an anti-cheat
You can hop into a valo custom with your buddies and practice execs in like 10 seconds.
Can't do that in CS2 without bending ass backwards and setting up an actual dedicated server.
Answer should be easy.
To be fair I've been playing way more CS2 than Valo, but the fact that me and my friends can't rehearse our Vertigo B execs is just criminal after all the good shit I learned.
>The shooting is a lot better
First time I've ever heard this sentiment.
SG 553 (literally the most accurate AR in CS2) still has a frying pan pattern when you tap with it, meanwhile ADS Vandal is dead-on
When a CS player says that CS gunplay is better, they're talking about how much they miss crouch spraying and getting a lucky headshot.
this isn't really a debate, anybody with a brain knows that csgo is better. however, it used to be much closer until moronic riot devs plunged it into oblivion. it's similar to what happened with league where the champs got crazier and crazier. now they just throw bullshit on the wall and hopes whatever sticks
Normally CS easily takes this but the absolute state of CS2 is very poor atm. Best choice is to take a break for 6 months then come back to CS2 once it's out of beta.
>Spend thousands of dollars and 5 years trying to buy out and sue DOTA so league could be #1 >failed >tried to get revenge on valve by stealing CS:GO players with gay knockoff >failed
Whats next, the fighting game is going try and buyout EVO and still fail to beat Street Fighter Tekken or Guilty Gear?
Fighting games by and large suck so Riot has pretty good odds considering that the average fighting game has:
- Bad netcode (rollback only became standard like two years ago and implementations are still poor)
- Bad matchmaking based on network conditions (often region lock based rather than ping based)
- Bad matchmaking based on skill (most games use something like a ladder system)
- Only one real game mode, nothing fun like 2v2
- Garbage cosmetics
- Poor balance
- Low update frequency
- A steep launch price with expensive "season passes" (with little content)
- Noob unfriendlyiness as an inevitable result of the above (you get a small populations of mostly veterans, and the games don't try to actually match unskilled players with other ones anyway plus the netcode is so bad that you effectively have a much smaller player pool than you could have for the purpose of finding a match)
they are vastly different games, you can enjoy both*
* if you get in the 10% of cs lobbies that don't have ivan spinbotting his ass off because VAC is caveman tech
Csgo/2 feels like shooting pellet guns after playing Valo
Movement feels like roller skating too
The amount of nade spam feels more overwhelming than the mirror viper+raze lobbies
Valo graphics while vomit-looking, really buy you with absolute clarity and precision, especially the smokes and the general consistency of the backgrounds
I would choose valo, but it has 2 major drawbacks - absence of the replay system and a system-wide chink spyware
t. valo peak immo2, csgo peak faceit 9
bullets dont go where you aim vs crosshair bouncing randomly
at least val is honest about where your shots are going, thats the one problem i've always had with cs, you'll never know if you had skill issue or just got screwed by rng
I prefer Overwatch
Valorant is cleaner and feels more responsive than CS2, but I absolutely abhor some of the abilities and the "personality" in that game.
css both of these are dog shit.
Half of csgo numbers are bots though
unironically prefer that over people who tryhard in fricking valorant, lol
wish they were better, though, i miss unreal tournament 04 and the godlike bots
Valorant is an ability game, not a tactical shooter.

would you rather drink piss or eat shit? CSGO.
>great debate
How is this a debate? Valorant is csgo light with random abilities. Even got counter strike map makers and you can easily tell, shit is a joke
CS:GO stopped existing, VALORANT won.
>good down to earth shooter vs muh animu weeb wacky voicelines and characters shooter
CS has always been nothing but CS for more than 2 decades and that thankfully won't change, and that's a good thing.
Valorant is slightly better, but their moronic anticheat cancels it all out, so CS2 is better over all.
>far less cheaters
>better elo system
>faster matchmaking
>more quality of life features
>more responsive
>more updates
Valorant is clearly the better game
esltard. valoshit will NEVER be as good as any version of counter-strike
>far less cheaters
the amount of closet cheaters on immortal+ is still the same as in CS, people just hide with it better and there's way more room for reasonable doubt

Heres an image to illustrate points 1 2 and 3. This was a 7 min queue.

>rank isn't your rank and it's a skinnerbox
How the frick are you capable of accepting this
I don't really care about the rank much and you can pretty easily see what it thinks your "true" rank is by when the numbers change the same for both wins and losses

CSGO fricking slams Valorant so hard you can't even call this a debate. CS2 on the other hand.
TF2
Only one of these games demands that I grant it root level access to my pc. No one cares that much about cheaters, they just want full access to everything on your computers.

If you’re missing in CS that’s because you have a skill issue.

> inb4 it only takes 6 months to fix this
valorant looked like shit from day one
awful artstyle, guns sound and look terrible
whoever thought overwatch + cs was a good idea is a homosexual
cs2 sucks too though
fun surf deathmatch or kernel level anti cheat
hmmmmmmm lol
this, i'm amazed by how many millions of people willingly downloaded and installed that chink spyware

they are vastly different games, you can enjoy both*
