God of onions should've just been a different IP altogether. Kratos was beyond any redemption and the idea that he'd settle down and simp is kinda a laugh.
this, he didn't deserve a happy comfy life
not after all the suffering he caused
kratos didn't get any redemption, there's still a bounty on his head across all dimensions and the short peace he got was immediately shattered when they found his whereabouts
did you even play the game
PS2/PS3 Trilogy were actual games. Not as good as Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. But solid, B+ video games that you could have a good time with. Nu GOW is just walk and talk sections with limited, bad combat that's just mashing up Dark Souls with an ASShomosexualS game abilities including cool downs and it's fricking dreary and boring as frick
It only got "GOTY" because the media whined about crunch at Rockstar games that was reported on Kotaku while ignoring the death march crunch Santa Monica did on God Of War. It was a political statement. Red Dead was the better game.
>grand power fantasy adventure with epic mythological battles in massive temples and mountains with gigachad zeus >last of uslike movie simulator in a winter forest with some wooden cottages and the main bad guy is some frail old dude
It's weird to me how despite having a perfect physique and manly attitude, Kratos simply doesn't illicit any arousal in me.
Idk maybe it's because he's bald or something.
His face is psychopathic. I don't think even gay guys are attracted to young Kratos. Old Kratos though has that bear quality to him, so he no doubt has fans among gay dudes.
Honestly. As crazy as it sounds. I was recently consider God of War because I recently played a "Sony moviegame" that was unironically peak and finally proved to me that the word is meaningless.
The problem with that game, is that NOBODY ever actually talked about the gameplay for it. So I didn't really have any judgements about it before going in, other than it was supposed to be bad becauseGanker just said so. On the other hand, with God of War, I KNOW what the gameplay is and have seen it talked about before (ironic since the bore "scene" makes it infinitely more of a moviegame but whatever) And have reservations for it. But still it. DID win GOTY. Over fricking RDR2 too. When the open world craze was still going strong. I respect linear games still getting any respect. And it's been a while since I've played a well rounded ADVENTURE game. So I've just been wondering whether it's actually good and worth a single damn and Ganker is just cringe and moronic like they are about everything, or if there's a single honest individual that can just give it to me straight...is it good?
Hm. That's not interesting enough. But thanks I guess. Restricted perspective could technically be interesting to emphasize spacing even more and a need to be keenly aware of your surroundings, but if it's not well done, and just "annoying" then yeah that's shit.
Unfortunate, but it is what it is, I'll keep looking for something else. Maybe give RDR2 a try.
>Restricted perspective could technically be interesting to emphasize spacing even more and a need to be keenly aware of your surroundings, but if it's not well done,
They implemented the red "PERSON BEHIND YOU IS ATTACKING" compass because it is not dome well
Both are good
Edgy Gankereddit is just mad at dad Kratos because he is trying to fulfill a proper father role instead of being on a murderous rampage 24/7 anymore
Actually, most people browsing here are already in their mid 20s to at least early 30s, so you'd expect people here to sympathize with dad Kratos and immerse themselves in the game while imagining being a father themselves
But no, I'm clearly looking at a bunch of libshits who demonizes the concept of raising a good family, this generation is truly doomed
I like God of War's energy but the combat is very simple. 2018's combat isn't perfect but it's way more fleshed out. 2018/Ragnarok have actual end-game content that tests your knowledge of the mechanics whereas the Greek games don't.
The original PS2 GOW was just cancer in terms of difficulty design.
>that section in the desert where you have to fight a billion of those screaming siren b***hes >that section where you have to push a cage up a steep inclined hill while roided out knight enemies infinitely spawn to harass and stop you >that outdoor section with the multiple cerberuses and the little dogs constantly nibbling away at you that can also become cerberuses >any section involving floor saws >any timed puzzle shit >any timed crushing wall shit >any section involving you slowly swinging your way across long ropes monkey-bar style while enemies harass you from each side, and all you have is a slash and a sloooooooooow kick (I have the same criticism of wall climbing sections that operate like this ass well) >later enemies constantly deflecting your attacks and making you feel like shit. >some killing blow QTEs on enemies require you to mash so fricking insanely fast that it hurts my fingers (like when trying to kill those hammer minotaur enemies)
I stopped playing shortly after the 4h14m mark of this video, because I was fed up by how cancerous the difficulty felt.
Just to be clear, I hate NuGOW as well. Both old GOW and NuGOW are dogshit.
>infinite sirens
you have to fight like 3? >infinite roid zombies on the hill
again, like 3, 5 or 6 tops if you frick up and are slow? >Cerberus Babies
don't play like a shitter, you're meant to crowd control. God forbid the game ask you to have different strategies for different scenarios >saws are cancer
you don't like movement challenges, that's fine, but I even liked that shit as a kid, stop being a shitter >rope sections
shit, yeah >enemy deflects
annoying, yeah >insane button mashing
controller breaking, repetitive, and shit, yeah
Overall, it has signs of age, but none of that stuff is a deal breaker when you've got all the hype generated by your regular gameplay. You feel awesome fighting shit, the movement challenges and timed puzzles are a great way to break up the combat so it doesn't get stale.
The original >Fun and challenging >Pure rage-filled masculine kino >Tons of cool greek lore >It's obvious the second game was what they really wanted to do
The reboot >A different type of masculine kino (I enjoyed the conversations between kratos and his son) >Too much handholding >Not much enemy/boss variety >Forced RPG/loot mechanics >Braindead "Puzzles"

one was goty and the other was a forgettable mediocre action game that people are only pretending to care about because of the culture.
culture war*
>one was goty
That's not the accomplishment you think it is.
if voting decided GOTY chinks would win every year
god forbid india releases a game too, will win all the awards

You haven't played any of those games.
Red Dead 2 was GOTY 2018. Cope.
>goty
oh god i love fricking walking simulators
I like them
I didn't like either. I traded my God of War copy for DMC3 when I was young.
>what if cratos but old and has kids?
It's just more "relatable" writing from old people projecting onto the stories the write.
4 is overhated. i never played ragnarok though so i cant comment on that.
Climbing sections>walking sections
I love God of War and have played every game in the series multiple times
The original is a legendary classic, the new one is just goyslop
>debate
lol no it's not even an option, new god of war is so much better
>grand power fantasy adventure with epic mythological battles in massive temples and mountains with gigachad zeus
>last of uslike movie simulator in a winter forest with some wooden cottages and the main bad guy is some frail old dude
>>last of uslike movie simulator in a winter forest with some wooden cottages and the main bad guy is some frail old dude
you didnt play it
i watched the cutscenes (8 hours out of 18 hour runtime) on youtube though
you didnt even do that because then youd at least know who the main antagonist is
you're right i got bored of mimirs quips after the norns scene and started replaying GOW3
>you're right
i know i am
>Garbage since the beginning that ruined action games for some time
pass
No one cares about your character action game series for braindead weebs, Ninja Gaiden schizo.
Any gays here find Kratos hot?
It's weird to me how despite having a perfect physique and manly attitude, Kratos simply doesn't illicit any arousal in me.
Idk maybe it's because he's bald or something.
He looks like the kind of guy who kills gays like you, that's why
Eh. That's kind of irrelevant.
Doomguy makes me hard and he is very likely homophobic.
His face is psychopathic. I don't think even gay guys are attracted to young Kratos. Old Kratos though has that bear quality to him, so he no doubt has fans among gay dudes.

People seem to find the combat rewarding (at least the Valkyrie fights), I just find the close up camera antithetical to arena combat

both are garbage and only snoys worship this shit franchise
go back your your bing bing wahoo, nintendies
i wonder how many of the people in this thread have actually played both games
Old Kratos is an annoying b***h
his grumpy passive aggressiveness comes over as b***hiness. I prefer young kratos.
I meant Old Kratos as in the original
The entire run of original games is just him throwing tantrums whenever he thinks someone was mean to him
Maybe they shouldn't have been mean to him.
There is no debate to be had. If you prefer the right then you're also on HRT.
