just stop saying that narrative is good, it's not fricking good. It's despicable. It's like, I don't know, arguing that through the fire and flames is a good song. Yes, that hits pretty close.
Where in that post did I say it's good? I asked if the game at least measures up to WotR in some common aspects in which you expect games like this to excel in.
reactivity needs work. Narrative was ok, not many choices very linear, lots of sjw typecast characters thrown at you. Gameplay overall decent, more fun to play than wotr
I only played the alpha playtest like a year ago, so maybe it's actually improved haha
I'm wildly ambivalent about it. At its core it's got a bunch of really good shit. Making builds is fun, mythic solves a bunch of problems with the PF system in general, and it manages to absolutely nail that power fantasy, no matter which mythic path you go for. But then it's also got many pathfinderisms inherited from the tabletop, and just many compounding design flaws that make chunks of the game a lot less enjoyable than they could be.
The characters are hit or miss as per usual, but the class spread among them is complete trash. And some of the ones you meet at higher level are close to unsalvageable in terms of build decisions made, and thus useless for higher difficulties. There really should've been a full respec for companions instead of this half-assed shit. I don't want to have to stock half my team with hirelings just because Owlcat doesn't understand the system.
>Only Trever essentially
Play Lich sometime, you're in for a real treat with Staunton. I actually laughed when I saw his sheet the first time. Though there's some irony in resurrecting a weak-willed traitor famous for making terrible decisions, only to have him then warm the bench for the rest of eternity.
But other companions aren't too far behind. Some can be made good enough, others get by only on the momentum of being full casters (Sosiel especially). And I give a frick, because I like playing higher difficulties, and that's where you really notice when your companions have wasted stats or levels.
I'm playing this now and I'm only at the start and I find it such a slog. I already don't care for any of the companions, and I find the quests painfully dull, do I continue?
It unironically gets good 10-20 hours in. Hitting mythic tier 3 is a massive game changer, because suddenly your blasters aren't getting cucked by every enemy having elemental resistances anymore, if you play a caster and choose a mythic path with a spellbook, you turbo charge your own casting and can get level 9 spells as early as level ~13, you get way more tricks to deal with the bullshit being thrown at you, get better gear rather than the garbage being served in the first act, and most classes and builds only start really coming together at around the halfway level point.
In fact, after your first playthrough, I'd unironically suggest just downloading a save file that starts after conquering Drezen, because the game up to that point is kinda shit, and not indicative of the rest of it.
That being said, there's always gonna be some slog elements to it, because Owlcat is shit at game design and balancing. There's way too many fights that don't need to be there because you just roll initiative against 2-3 nonthreatening pushovers, and should be folded into other fights. They also keep doing this shit where they put a single enemy in a fight, and to make up for the lopsided action economy, they buff them to the gills where even your buffed up dudes have to roll 18+ to hit, and then flip a coin against concealment, and then whiff a mirror image. The game is borderline unplayable without the autobuff mod and a caster dedicated to spamming dispel on bosses.
Well, I have yet to encounter a cuck in the game, and limp-wristedness is entirely within your control, so I'm not sure what you could be referring to.
padded healthbars are the definition of artificial difficulty. it is okay to enjoy pokemon/genshin elemental reactions. just don't pretend these are "actual mechanics" LOL
>padded
They're just the health bar, you do realize that, right? They're not "padded", they're just another section. A section used to reflect strengths and weaknesses, and to make it so every fight doesn't immediately devolve into chain CC. >just don't pretend these are "actual mechanics"
They're just one element, and already more mechanics than pretty much every other crpg can offer. What other crpg even has terrain manipulation and use as a mechanic at all, beyond "I can't go there because a rock/ramp/fence is in the way"?

Alright, so we agree. >which is SO much for difficult.... artificially LOL
Nobody said anything about difficulty, ESL-kun. It's just that your "padded HP" argument was moronic. Don't deflect. >he thinks terrain mechanics are pioneered by DOS
Also not even remotely to close to anything I said. I merely claimed that crpgs by and large don't even bother making terrain or maps a relevant part of the gameplay, so the DOS games do objectively stand out in that regard where the genre is concerned.
Please, I urge you to improve your reading comprehension before engaging in discussions online. It'll be better for your blood pressure.

don't even have to make arguments with self-defeating morons like these KEK

The mysteries of the ESL. How can one backpedal from something they never said? Maybe it makes more sense in Indian, or Thai, or whatever your mother tongue is.
>Konomi had the potential to be Montilyet, but better >Owlkeks didn't even give her a portrait, let alone made her a major character and romance interest
Owlkeks are a joke, masters of wasted opportunities. I have zero hype for rogue troony.
Pure fricking cringe, I had to uninstall the game when I met woljif. Very obnoxious, poorly written characters and dialogue not to mention all the pozzed homosexual garbage you see even at the very beginning of the game.
Dos2 combat system is dogshit, because armor/shield blocks most cc. By the time you strip the armor/shield there's no point in cc, you just finish them off.
>t. bursted down Cuckus Rex in one round on for honour
As it turns out, the underage third worlders that like pathfinder are not very fun or interesting to talk to, and they don't want to even be around each other.
.......... so far..
I hope so
Does it even measure up to WotR in terms of gameplay, build autism, narrative, choices, reactivity, and romances?
Black person u high?

Kino
Did you play the beta? It's not "kino."
Sounds like a case of either shit taste or being filtered. So which one is it?
Not him, but there's nothing to be filtered by, the combat is a joke.

Companion selection is shit
wrong

Alright, I'll stick with it, thanks for the feedback. I definitely want to see how the mythic paths pave out.
i know there are portrait replacements but are there mods to remove homosexualry?
The only homosexualry I've encountered is the lesbo couple, and they get that out of the way early. All other gay romance is on you.
I think you don't understand what exactly do we mean by saying homosexualry.
I assume when you say homosexualry, you mean homosexualry, but feel free to share your own interpretation of what the term means.
homosexualry is limp wristed cuck shit, it doesn't necessarly have to be gay.
Well, I have yet to encounter a cuck in the game, and limp-wristedness is entirely within your control, so I'm not sure what you could be referring to.
>the greatest crpg ever made

Pick only one, Black person imbecile.
That's not The Witcher 1.
Lol, Owlcucks lost, Larian won. Deal with it, pathfinder is a garbage spreadsheet simulator.
Come back when gopniks finally makea 90+ metacritic game. Cope, seethe and dilate
DOS2 was superior to BG3 in every way, and it's not even close
Not even mad, DOS2 was a masterpiece too.
Larian keeps winning

BG3 is not an CRPG, it's a visual novel just like Disco Shit
>can't kiss the fox
It's shit.
The only fox I want to kiss is Lady Konomi. Nenio gets killed on sight every time.

pretty telling owlkeks gave the options to skip the crusade entirelly.

What the frick bros, why is the general down? I just caught eye of it.
It's been dead for months. No one cares about owlslop. There's no news on wotr dlc. There's nothing to do discuss anymore.
As it turns out, the underage third worlders that like pathfinder are not very fun or interesting to talk to, and they don't want to even be around each other.
This game is like a 2/10. It's not even in the top 100 of rpgs I have played.
hello
what a helpful poster
Why's it in my path? Who left it there?
>all that she trash
0/10, all the good ones were made before USA became Sweden.
