I have played most of their recent games and I can confirm that Sweetbaby games have a comfy feel that just hits different. I don't get the hate at all.

Despite making games set in America Remedy is a Finnish company and likes to let their culture in. The inital idea was to hire a Finnish actress for the role/mocap. Their first pick wasn't available and it's thanks to Sweet Baby's "coaching" that we got some American black chick instead of their vision. It also causes some weird dissonance in the story when she's talking about her "Finnish" heritage.
An otherwise good, story focused game has this awkward limp in its characterization from their input.
