You cant have either legitimately good or believably grey morality in fallout. Every faction must be "le evil" in order for "war never changes" to make sense.

PLAY the GAMES. There are a hunfred thousand good guys in them including entire factions. There are zero(0) bad minutemen. There are zero bad bos in Fallout 3 and only 1 bad bos in 4. There is an entire group of mercanies with very good karma in Fallout 3 who hunt you down if you're a baddie. Diamond City is all good except for the synth replaced mayor. Megaton is all good except for the ex raider who they decided to give another chance because they're all nice people. There are a million good guys.
Because the hack writers realized that they wrote themselves into a corner with the Institute and had to make them moronic villains because they would otherwise be the obvious solution.

It's actually way cooler if you're just a badass human who's built different - also that Ghoul from the show could totally body multiple Kellogg and coursers and the other player characters most certainly could. The Sole Survivor frankly is unimpressive compared to other main characters from the series - especially if he has to be a synth just to explain his feats. The Vault Dweller, the Chosen One, the Lone Wanderer, the Courier - they're just badasses.

There's a huge disconnect and lack of grief over your spouse. I can't believe they stuck with this plot after the initial drafting phase should've made it obvious that it doesn't work with these kinds of games. From Nate's perspective you just found out your fricking wife got shot in the face and not 5 minutes later you're fawning over a freezeray gun in a locker saying "ooh mama! I gotta come back for that bad boy!" And then a couple days later you can be balls deep in Piper. Fricked up.
That is the fault of Bethesda's rushed writing since they clearly wanted the Institute to be the main focus and the game instantly snowballs as soon as Kellog is gone. From what is there though you can feel from Nate's tone of voice when choosing options regarding his wife that the man cared immensely for her even if the game barely gives him opportunities to show it. That's just Fallout 4, a rushed mess of a game but you can see what they were going for, even if it trips and falls on it's face a few times.
I wouldn't really say it's rushed, it's just completely divorced from what happens in the game. In other words, they halfassed the presentation, since it would necessitate restricting the player's choices. If they wanted to show that Nate cared about his wife then they wouldn't let you do wacky zany sidequests until you resolve everything or let you stuff Piper, Cait, and Curie in every hole, but that would go against the gameplay they wanted. The story they wanted to make is completely at odds with the game they wanted to make.

Also personally I find New Vegas has more guns and variety for weapons vs 3 & 4 but 4 has the better gunplay out of the three with a slightly more in-depth gun modding scene while 3 has a more gripping story in my books, so I like all three for different reasons.

Playing Fallout 4, stepping out of the Vault and seeing the Wasteland, I felt an actual, physical gut to my punch. I feel to the ground and my exasperated wheezing was no ordinary wheeze. As if I was a third party to my own struggle, I heard my own wheeze - "k-kinooooooooo!" is what it sounded like. I was in extraordinary pain but looking up at my monitor, seeing that vast and unexplored world just waiting for me, the pain was nothing. I rose up and took those first steps and, as if it took no effort at all on the part of the designers in Bethesda Softworks, I moved from one interesting encounter to the next, to the next, to the next and I became convinced that the touch of God had been flowing through the nerves of those fine sirs who coded this expansive and full realized world, those who wrote these mesmerizing and witty quests and that incredibly powerful and thematically sound main storyline. No, no man worked on this masterpiece, it was a work of genius beyond man. Plainly put? It's kino.
You know what's great about Fallout 3? It's pretty much daddy issues the game. You pretty much have to have some kind of daddy issues for it to make any sense and for you to enjoy the game, but you can roleplay any kind of daddy issues you want. For my main character it was really complicated. It was like I resented him but I needed him, I hated him but I wanted to make him proud, I missed him but I wanted to prove I was better than him. It was fun as hell honestly. That's why Fallout 3 wins over Fallout 4. In 4, you are the daddy. And you don't even need to care about the son. He certainly doesn't care about you.
I don't get why NV worshippers are shitting and pissing over the Fallout show "retconning NV out of existence". They show one(1) image of the 'ruins" of New Vegas, which in whatever canon you choose to take...is made out of the ruins of Las Vegas. It didn't even look destroyed, and it's very clearly going to be a prominent part of season 2. Why the b***hing?
I think peoples main problem is that the chalkboard in that one vault says "The Fall of Shady Sands" happened in 2277, which is 5 years before the events of New Vegas
So Shady Sands was nuked and fell, and the NCR fell apart, but none of this is mentioned anywhere in NV

Bio organic beings don’t just eat/drink/sleep for fun, it is a required function for us to survive. Do they run on something like nuclear energy? Solar? Gasoline? Why is this never explained? How do people not know that they are Synths? If Synths do not feel hungry or tired and do not get sick, wouldn’t someone notice that they are not feeling any of those things? If not, then are those feelings simulated? How? And for what purpose?

1 and 2 are about being proud of consumerism. They want everyone to know that they watch every marvel movie and binge all star wars on d plus as soon as it's released.
3 is about the second amendment, but not about the actual weapons themselves because the second amendment is more than that. It's an oath and a responsibility. You ARE expected to fight the good fight when it comes down to it, if you're an American. Why do you think the baddies in that game are pretenders of the US government who occupy Washington DC and try to turn the American people into slaves?
N V tries too hard to be a blank sheet of paper for you to write your story on, and they pretty much succeeded in that because you do no actual roleplaying in it. You could literally decide your entire story from start to finish before even booting up the game and nothing that happens in the entire playthrough will ever contradict it.
Fallout 4 is about what freedom actually stands for, and each faction represents different viewpoints of what American Freedom actually means. Except the Institute, which is about people who are too lazy to care about freedom.

Some people do. They decide on some entire story for their character beforehand and then get mad when the game contradicts it, or when something happens that makes it hard to go on the same path and they refuse to change course. Then they do some kind of mental gymnastics to why whatever happened doesn't matter and their fanfiction is still canon, and sometimes even ignore actual whole entire events that happen to them in the game. I remember seeing some homosexual claim that his character was some "drunk merc from new reno" or some other reedit type shit. It doesn't work that way and you won't have fun that way. Let the game decide what happens to you. You decide how you respond and what is going on in your characters head.

NV is about relying on the faction relationship idea to create emergent stories. This is demonstrated in the tutorial town but not taken as far as it could have.
4 is 3 but with settlements, a less interesting open world and a more boring story.

Megaton is all good except for the ex raider who they decided to give another chance because they're all nice people. There are a million good guys.

There's a huge disconnect and lack of grief over your spouse. I can't believe they stuck with this plot after the initial drafting phase should've made it obvious that it doesn't work with these kinds of games. From Nate's perspective you just found out your fricking wife got shot in the face and not 5 minutes later you're fawning over a freezeray gun in a locker saying "ooh mama! I gotta come back for that bad boy!" And then a couple days later you can be balls deep in Piper. Fricked up.
That is the fault of Bethesda's rushed writing since they clearly wanted the Institute to be the main focus and the game instantly snowballs as soon as Kellog is gone. From what is there though you can feel from Nate's tone of voice when choosing options regarding his wife that the man cared immensely for her even if the game barely gives him opportunities to show it. That's just Fallout 4, a rushed mess of a game but you can see what they were going for, even if it trips and falls on it's face a few times.
I wouldn't really say it's rushed, it's just completely divorced from what happens in the game. In other words, they halfassed the presentation, since it would necessitate restricting the player's choices. If they wanted to show that Nate cared about his wife then they wouldn't let you do wacky zany sidequests until you resolve everything or let you stuff Piper, Cait, and Curie in every hole, but that would go against the gameplay they wanted. The story they wanted to make is completely at odds with the game they wanted to make.

Playing Fallout 4, stepping out of the Vault and seeing the Wasteland, I felt an actual, physical gut to my punch. I feel to the ground and my exasperated wheezing was no ordinary wheeze. As if I was a third party to my own struggle, I heard my own wheeze - "k-kinooooooooo!" is what it sounded like. I was in extraordinary pain but looking up at my monitor, seeing that vast and unexplored world just waiting for me, the pain was nothing. I rose up and took those first steps and, as if it took no effort at all on the part of the designers in Bethesda Softworks, I moved from one interesting encounter to the next, to the next, to the next and I became convinced that the touch of God had been flowing through the nerves of those fine sirs who coded this expansive and full realized world, those who wrote these mesmerizing and witty quests and that incredibly powerful and thematically sound main storyline. No, no man worked on this masterpiece, it was a work of genius beyond man. Plainly put? It's kino.

You know what's great about Fallout 3? It's pretty much daddy issues the game. You pretty much have to have some kind of daddy issues for it to make any sense and for you to enjoy the game, but you can roleplay any kind of daddy issues you want. For my main character it was really complicated. It was like I resented him but I needed him, I hated him but I wanted to make him proud, I missed him but I wanted to prove I was better than him. It was fun as hell honestly. That's why Fallout 3 wins over Fallout 4. In 4, you are the daddy. And you don't even need to care about the son. He certainly doesn't care about you.
I don't get why NV worshippers are shitting and pissing over the Fallout show "retconning NV out of existence". They show one(1) image of the 'ruins" of New Vegas, which in whatever canon you choose to take...is made out of the ruins of Las Vegas. Back when I tried New Vegas, I used the interactive map to explore pretty much every location before New Vegas and I can't remember a single notable location that stuck out besides the scripted Legion encounter. The whole game is boring as frick.
1 and 2 are about being proud of consumerism. They want everyone to know that they watch every marvel movie and binge all star wars on d plus as soon as it's released.
3 is about the second amendment, but not about the actual weapons themselves because the second amendment is more than that. It's an oath and a responsibility. You ARE expected to fight the good fight when it comes down to it, if you're an American. Why do you think the baddies in that game are pretenders of the US government who occupy Washington DC and try to turn the American people into slaves?
N V tries too hard to be a blank sheet of paper for you to write your story on, and they pretty much succeeded in that because you do no actual roleplaying in it. You could literally decide your entire story from start to finish before even booting up the game and nothing that happens in the entire playthrough will ever contradict it.
Fallout 4 is about what freedom actually stands for, and each faction represents different viewpoints of what American Freedom actually means. Except the Institute, which is about people who are too lazy to care about freedom.

Some people do. They decide on some entire story for their character beforehand and then get mad when the game contradicts it, or when something happens that makes it hard to go on the same path and they refuse to change course. Then they do some kind of mental gymnastics to why whatever happened doesn't matter and their fanfiction is still canon, and sometimes even ignore actual whole entire events that happen to them in the game. I remember seeing some homosexual claim that his character was some "drunk merc from new reno" or some other reedit type shit. It doesn't work that way and you won't have fun that way. Let the game decide what happens to you. You decide how you respond and what is going on in your characters head.

Institute is the canon ending and nobody can deny that.
1-2 are about open world mechanics and guns. You can raid the first shop you see and use those guns to kill everyone else. The story doesn't matter, it's just to establish a setting and atmosphere.
3 is about mixing drama, cinema and story with the open world setting but the story is dumb and takes itself too seriously.
NV is about relying on the faction relationship idea to create emergent stories. This is demonstrated in the tutorial town but not taken as far as it could have.
4 is 3 but with settlements, a less interesting open world and a more boring story.
