I myself stopped caring about the sequel the minute it was announced and Ellie was confirmed to be part of the story. I knew there was an high chance they would fuck up the sense of careful ambiguity (or maybe it was accidental, fuck if I know) left by the first game. The hilarious thing is, even though I was already feeling pessimistic back then, I had NO idea TLOU2 was going to be as bad it was. I mean, Jesus fucking Christ, what a dumpster fire of a narrative.

It takes place years after the initial outbreak, and she's living in a fairly safe and stable settlement. The tattoo also hides her bite mark - she's the only immune character in the series, most people in-universe would shoot someone who's bit on-sight.

I agree, sorta. I've done multiple playthroughs on Grounded+, and it's fun every time. As far as the story, I think I only enjoyed Ellie's portion. Abby is such a terrible person, and she doesn't let up until the final moments of the game, where she decides to stop being such a cunt.

I actually wouldn't hate the idea of a Tarkov with TLOU2 mechanics, but getting hit by a smoke bomb and getting one hit melee killed would be lame as fuck. Or third person camera campers with a scoped rifle.
Its 100% Tarkov/The Division/Battle Royale. Traditional modes will still be there but the focus is absolutely on some open world co-op shit. The first Factions is already essentialy halfway there. There was even a cut co-op mode in the original you can still technically access. All the concept art for Factions 2 focuses on 2 players as well.
