PoE2 is just an upgrade of 1. Its NOT a separate game.
What sucks is when it happens, you wont be able to go back and play PoE1 as you knew it. But thats how its always been since PoE is GaaS.
They walked that back, probably when they realized that they were going to completely discard the zoom based gameplay that the current fanbase likes for something slower.
So now its a separate game
Last exile-con I think? Honestly I thought it was a good call since it seemed like a moronic idea to just delete poe 1 for 2.

It makes me happy, since a lot of the ideas they have for 2 just make it sound like too different of a game to try and merge it all.
Now if only they would release legacy versions of the game. I want to go back and replay 1.2 and 2.4 eras.
It's moronic to compare PoE to Diablow since it is leagues ahead of that shit series, but yes, when D4 turned out to be a massive pile of dog shit, Blizztards ran back to the other pile of dog shit that is D3. Kind of like how Starfield made Fallout 4 look good.
I've played up to end-endgame with a billion minmaxing and trading plugins and all that jazz and would never call it a competitive game, no one even touches pvp and it's completely parallel to the actual game.
I've played every league since closed beta and I don't plan on stopping now (HC SSF btw). GGG got their groove back, baby. Based Chris, I believed in you all along. Crazy how a few kiwis in their garage totally blew the frick out of the ARPG scene.

You can tell these are you just by the length thoese posts stretch across my monitor of you Gobbling Gay Gobnuts. Frick off, Chris, you malding failure.
>I've played every league since closed beta >HC SSF btw
that wasn't even a thing back then, way to oust yourself as a total brainless shill, fricking moron.

I have played Last Epoch instead and had massive amounts of fun. I don't think I can join a PoE league after playing for 2500 hours and have the same amount of engagement.
Hagrid's heavy ball slapping thrusts deep into Mathil's lean muscular buttoned.
Hagrid yells while his beard brushes against the twink's sculpted yet smooth back.
"I believe in traveling cum."
And Mathil's body explodes from the semen MTX'd detonate dead.
I play every league. But also we know nothing about this coming league except a bunch of basically nothing tweaks.
I do think it's funny that people are crying about left mouse button not being able to be bound to a skill now though. Oh no. Such a crucial nerf that matters so fricking much. Better post angrily about it.
>I do think it's funny that people are crying about left mouse button not being able to be bound to a skill now though
I thought everyone rebinds it to Move Only after they pick up the fist gem from Twilight Strand.
It's legitimately pretty niche use-only to bind a skill to LMB despite how much people are crying. Binding a guard skill is just a liability. Bunch of other shit ends up just being clunky or unnecessary. It only really makes sense if you have extra gem slots and somehow how a freebie Call to Arms from Skin of the Lords or something so you can put a warcry in there.
And I think since you can automate warcries to be triggered now, which is instant, it's probably a buff to most builds so long as you have a gem socket free. Enduring cry works on everything, just to generate endurance and a little extra physical mitigation (2% per charge extra)

I don't get how people can even play every league.
Its like 90% the same game as it was last time and most people play the same builds as they did before as well
I got absolutely obsessed and mindbroken with it in my first season (Betrayal) and did pretty much everything that can be done in three months, then I never managed to get back into it ever again.
I played different builds until you couldn't just make a build from scratch without buying currency for gorillion dollars, then I started playing only one build until it got nerfed.
I play every league even knowing my interest always peters out during yellow maps. I always tell myself "this will be the league where I beat the endgame bosses" but nope, I always get bored before I fight them.
I had the most fun playing private trade leagues, I rarely trade but sometimes GGG nerfs droprate so much you can't expect to get what you need.
But it's important to know which build is SSF viable because I got to yellow maps on the second day of the league most of the time. But I played HC as well so I build my characters to be as tanky as possible. I hated the leveling so I stopped.
It didn't need to be, obviously a mode that doesn't have access to open trade doesn't need to have the same droprates. But as it is you'd have to be autistic and masochistic to stick with SSF in PoE.
Believe it or not some people don't think being a fricking israelite should be a mandatory part of the ARPG experience, sadly mentally ill D2gays buckbroke GGG and the game has been entirely about economymaxxing based on streamer fotm builds for years.
It shouldn't get any thought, it was supposed to be an optional challenge for the autists who nolife this game for sixty hours over the first weekend, not regular people.
ngl ssf shouldn't even get to chat. Relegate these morons to the eight layer of hell and put them out of everyone's minds.

Why does SSF bother you so much?

SSF doesn't, people b***hing about how it's not getting love do.
they added 100 new skills last league
a third of the playerbase gravitates toward the same 3-4 skills, but that says more about them being brainfried zoomies than the game actually being imbalanced.
It's not the last league, PoE leagues and PoE2 leagues will be staggered.
If PoE2 ends up being a hit, I don't think many will be playing both games regularly.
why not most people don't play a league for longer than a month. I highly doubt PoE 2 will be so good people refuse to play PoE1
What about people who have cosmetics worth of thousands of dollars?
Transferable to 2
You wish, they haven't spilled a word on this which is very suspicious considering the amount mtxshit they sold over the years.

When the frick did this happen? Not saying you're wrong, I just missed the memo apparently.

Just like how D3 and D4 are both actively being supported
lol
LMAO
poe1 is dead, it's rollslop and gold from now on

>but my shit company can't do it! NOBODY CAN
what the frick is wrong with blizzdrones
Personally, I want to skip upcoming league but I do want to get beta access for PoE2 so I'll probably end up playing.
If PoE2 is pretty good, I doubt I'll be playing PoE1 new leagues. PoE demands too much of your time to be at least somehow competitive.
>singleplayer/pve coop game
>competitive
>what is speedrunning
Playing casually you will never build that powerful meta character build.
I've played up to end-endgame with a billion minmaxing and trading plugins and all that jazz and would never call it a competitive game, no one even touches pvp and it's completely parallel to the actual game.
>player economy
'b-but SSF!!!!'
>game balanced around player economy
Chris Wilson apologists should rope themselves
Wait? it didn't release yet? Wasn't POE2 going to be released like on december 2022
You know what ? Yes I will.
Path of exile cuted my video game addiction by being a second job i don't get paid for
Yep, same.
Now I can actually play games for fun, which means I'll never go back to PoE
Yeah I'll play it on my steamie deck, grinding for a nimis again is going to suck nutsack though
>nerf the game into unrecognizeable console sloppa
No thanks
I've played every league since closed beta and I don't plan on stopping now (HC SSF btw). GGG got their groove back, baby. Based Chris, I believed in you all along. Crazy how a few kiwis in their garage totally blew the frick out of the ARPG scene.

Lmao. Seek help for your mental illness.
Get a load of this moron lol
>I've played every league since closed beta
>HC SSF btw
that wasn't even a thing back then, way to oust yourself as a total brainless shill, fricking moron.
It existed as self-imposed challenges
Chris owns 4% of the game. It's mostly Tencent money doing the work now.
If GGG wanted me to still play their game they shouldn't have turned it into shit.
>last league ever
QRD? I thought PoE 2 is supposed to come out in 2025
lolno. I'll play the new Grim Yawn DLC instead.
that's not coming until Q3 at the earliest though. Most likely Q4
I would rather shoot myself than play through the shitty campaign one more time. I'll try PoE2 when it comes out but I'm with 1.
I have played Last Epoch instead and had massive amounts of fun. I don't think I can join a PoE league after playing for 2500 hours and have the same amount of engagement.
unlikely.. ive been burnt out on poe
It's pretty obvious with all the "QoL" updates that this is going to be their last major update to PoE1
PoE2 won't be out for another 2 years.
Are we finally getting PoE2 soon?
Beta Starts June 7th, they have said its the entire campaign + WIP endgame.
Basically an early access launch.
Rip LMB
Not touching PoE till PoE 2.
Even then I don't have much hope the game will ever recover and be fun again.
Was a big PoE 2 media event yesterday, embargo lifts on Thursday.
Should be enough differing voices to get a good read of the state of the game.
mathil looks like an old lesbian
Mathill is like 38, he looks good for his age
nah Im 39 and look 10 years younger
if you are too lean you get more wrinkles and end up looking older
post pic of shut the frick up

I've played PoE every league since 2014 and I have never bound a skill to left click before.
Same I've only ever changed left click to move only
It's legitimately pretty niche use-only to bind a skill to LMB despite how much people are crying. Binding a guard skill is just a liability. >Same builds
Well some poeple just really like certain builds. And If you like the game why not play it when a new mechanic is introduced?
I play 1 or 2 leagues then I take a break, year or two. Playing like this since beta,
I played different builds until you couldn't just make a build from scratch without buying currency for gorillion dollars, then I started playing only one build until it got nerfed.
no last epoch and d2 are better
WTF happened to POE 2?
>the PoE 2 beta will start in July and last 6 month
6 fricking months? jesus
6 months to add everything in realtime
It's basically a bunch of mini leagues being rapid fired
First game open beta was longer if I remember correctly. That's just how they do.
I play every league even knowing my interest always peters out during yellow maps. I always tell myself "this will be the league where I beat the endgame bosses" but nope, I always get bored before I fight them.
Do you play trade or SSF?
SSF
I've thought about trying trade, but I hate the idea of interacting with others and fiddling around with the trade website.
SSF basically became an afterthought to them at some point, the game is balanced around full happy merchant mode sadly
Well SSF is mostyl for autists with too much time on their hands.
It didn't need to be, obviously a mode that doesn't have access to open trade doesn't need to have the same droprates. But as it is you'd have to be autistic and masochistic to stick with SSF in PoE.

so do you guys think it will be any better in poe2?
poe2 is at least going to have something close to an auction house so you can trade without having to interact with someone

Take what you want and frick off.
I can understand that, to get to an endgame boss you need to grind the map out of the ass, then if you fail, you have to do the whole grind again.
I stopped playing when all the build were WW, is it still like that or there is more than 1 viable skill?
they added 100 new skills last league
a third of the playerbase gravitates toward the same 3-4 skills, but that says more about them being brainfried zoomies than the game actually being imbalanced.
last time I played I had to quit because prices were ridiculous even though no one was purchasing
I don't think it has changed
