Scrubquote. Its not that different from taking 80% from a wall combo anyway.
They're also nerfed more than ever in 6. A move will not RO unless it specifically has an RO property or it floats you in a launch state (in which case you can probably AC out).
Pay attention to where tf you are.
What the fuck makes Soul Calibur so undesirable to the fighting community anyway?
Its a pretty successful, long-running and well-liked series that has generally had an active competitive community years after each release.
It doesn't sell Tekken or SF numbers bjt every game sold between like 2-4mil, it does fine
>Its not that different from taking 80% from a wall combo anyway.
That's just silly. People throw shade on ToDs despite 80% combos existing. Of course they'll complain about ring outs. It's not like they're exactly comparable to things like IKs in other games either.
I don't get it either, in a perfect world Soul Calibur should act as a perfect springboard for fightan newcomers to get into the genre with all its single-player content, then advance to online, but it seems to be stuck there.
Less depth than DOA of all games and then SC6 decided to have its own RPS mechanic.
It's both entirely skill-based and doesn't rely on decades of legacy knowledge
I really hope SC doesn't have its own GG and VF phase where everyone and their mother played it back then and the game was this hardcore technical game only the "true" fans played
People playing dead games shitting on other dead games will never not be funny. SC is not known for complexity just like DOA. It is known for being a weapon fighter, the character creation, and the fanservice like taki's hard nipples and the fetish outfits.
bamco are garden gnomes and dont wanna cannibalize tekken sales so sc always comes out a couple years after tekken. i thought the series was dead after the abomination that was 5 but 6 sold pretty well so it's coming sooner or later
I'm sure they'll make SC7 someday, but I don't expect it to be someday soon. Tekken kind of dominates the 3D fighting game sphere and that will probably still be true if they end up making SC7.
Namco isn't gonna compete with itself, but we know SC6 was internally seen as a success. Its only been 5 years since release, too. Less than three years since the last DLC.
There was a six year gap between SC5 and SC6, and gamelifespan is longer than ever these days. You'll see another SC, just not for another year or two
I personally think Soul Caliber is a dying/dead game series, when SC VI came out, it was popular for maybe a few days and then everyone forgot about it, and it never seemed to generate nearly as much HYPE as Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat.
The fanbase is smaller most likely as well. I don't mind Soul Caliber, but it clearly isn't even in the top five of fighting game series.

ring outs in fighting games are fucking stupid
Skill issue
but there are stages with out ring outs.
That is true, it isn't very combo heavy for sure. You don't, technically, have finishing moves, that's something I hope never changes in this series.

So its good?
In a perfect world SC would be at least as successful as Tekken.

It's not gay enough.

Soul cal shouldnt have fanservice

It's like all fighting games that are developed by the same company
The later games will never be as popular as the original
it's actually good
like, consistently good
>V and Legends
did i fucking stutter
V was awesome and easily one of the most solid SC games. Every character was balanced.
Probably because SC has much better art than the other games.

Maybe we get another game in 10 years or so
There will be a new Killer Instinct before a new SoulCalibur comes out, so never.
Retarded gay created characters ruined this game online
But you don't want to my generic anime girl recreation #789?
Just turn them off in options, dude
Reminder soulcalibur 6 only got made because of a single guy that nag Namco until they give him a shoe string budget
That producer no longer works at namco.
There's this one feminist anon on this site who has a huge hate boner for soul calibur

They will make SC7 when SC6 becomes "nostalgic" so at least 10 years

Double down on normalfag appeal and make a co-op Chronicles of the Sword mode

Well at least the sixth game was considered OK at release, so the chance of a sequel went from 0% to 0.12%
Soulcalibur died the moment they stop giving it great single player content.
Why waste resources on soulcalibur which doesn't sell that well when we could use those resources on Tekken?
Didn't they fire the series director a while back?
