every single thing you post, and every single opinion you have, is wrong. embarrassingly wrong. if you ever make any opinion about anything, i’ll knownto believe the opposite.
Stop calling things that aren't shit shit. It's not as bad as Desert Bus, Life of Black Tiger, or Hong Kong '97. You can say it doesn't look great, but don't call it shit unless it is.
I'm not consuming any LOTR media now that Chris Tolkien is dead. Any money that goes to the Tolkien estate now is going to be channeled directly into calling JRR Tolkien a bigot.
The world we live in today was created by people's inability to move on and try new things. LoTR was never written to be a screenplay or script or a starting point for a whole universe of derivative works. It was written to be LoTR. If you want a win, go read a new book by a new author and let this garbage die off without any money.
The best case scenario you can hope for in the long run is that Tolkien becomes so unprofitable that his work ends up being consigned to the public domain as God intended.
I think the problem is that the production companies and writers they get to make this shit is either too cheap to attract decent talent who can make a good product, or they just don’t have the skills and knowledge of what made an IP good in the first place, and people who do have those likely want to work on original IPs or at least stuff without so much baggage.
Just look at shit like Star Wars or Star Trek, and the turds they’ve pumped out. There’s some decent ideas in there that could be built on to make something great, but the people in charge are just too incompetent to make something good.
oh right I remember that in the books. I guess the end of the game will end with him still being an evil little piece of shit though since he never gets any redemption until LotR
Gollum is an allegory of baldness and how an once joyful and lovely being can slowly turn into a shadow of what he was, filled with hatred and hard feelings for motives that aren't under his control.
>It looks like the stealth sections in non-stealth games, but as an entire game.
Holy fricking shit you weren't kidding?! That looked so bad for crying out loud and it doesn't help that nacon's trailers are all ass cancer.
The original interviews made it very apparent the developers have a strong disdain for the LotR movies.
They were going to make Gollum look like a giant toad. No, its not what Tolkien was going to do. What we got is what Tolkien was going to do.
I love Gollum bros. There's just something about a little cranky mentally ill skinny fat guy who hangs out in his home and talks to himself about things that piss him off and only eats meat that is very relatable.
I am tired of "stealth" games, who only have extremely simplistic stealth mechanics. From watching the trailer, this one seems to have: >a cover system >hide in grass >probably "hide in locker" stealth as well, where you hide in pots or whatever >throw stone to distract guards
This is literally "stealth segment" of a typical action game tier. I want devs to build on top of Stealth Classics like Thief: Dark Project. That game had so many areas to improve upon, but it's still one of the Best ever. Just imagine proper Parkour, a better Cover System, where Guards don't see through barrels, being able to disguise yourself, travel in a semi-open world to different missions and deal with random encounters on the way, having to secure your loot in secure locations, etc.
Finally!
When I watched Lord of the Rings, all I could think is "I want to BE that weird skinny deformed guy".
Finally, I can feel awkward, weak, and lanky.
considering the gameplay looks shallow, you'd think it would compensate with visuals but they didnt. not only are the graphics, the art direction is even worse. this concept could've worked if it was just graphics porn for a realized middle earth
if you told me it was made by the Styx devs I would believe you
Styx was good though
>It looks like the stealth sections in non-stealth games, but as an entire game.
So A Plague Tale?
Who asked for this?
me
us
Me.
Yes he did.
We wants it, we asks for its
>what should we put in our gameplay trailer to attract gamers?
>hold left during climbing sections for 15 seconds!
it looks unironically awful.
when are we gonna get a good lord of the rings game for the 2020s, tolkienbros?
The Moria game looks cool.
I just want a Return of the King remaster
So it's shit.
it looks p. good
Frick off.
but it does look like a better Rayman :^)
every single thing you post, and every single opinion you have, is wrong. embarrassingly wrong. if you ever make any opinion about anything, i’ll knownto believe the opposite.
Look at these visuals!
You can't tell me you're not salivating over these soft shadows, dynamic lights and fully rendered after-effects.
Pretty sad because you can see good art direction in places, ruined by the low production quality of those 3D environments.
Stop calling things that aren't shit shit. It's not as bad as Desert Bus, Life of Black Tiger, or Hong Kong '97. You can say it doesn't look great, but don't call it shit unless it is.
The graphics feel off
At times its ps3 tier and at times PS5 standard
A Gollum game could work if done by a good studio, but this video already shows that this one failed.
I don't really read the text of threads before entering, but I just wanted to say Claire Redfield has never looked so good.
This is one of those games where mistakes have been made at every possible step of the way.
I'm not consuming any LOTR media now that Chris Tolkien is dead. Any money that goes to the Tolkien estate now is going to be channeled directly into calling JRR Tolkien a bigot.
this. love me some tolkien but just like lovecraft im never buying any "official" merchendise.
I hope against all the Amazon show is good. I know it wont be and it looks pozzed already but still, can we just get one good win?

why is he running around? didn't he live in a cave since finding the ring and being exiled? also isn't he a child killer?
It's supposed to take place between The Hobbit and LotR, when Gollum left the cave and did a bunch of secondary quests.
oh right I remember that in the books. I guess the end of the game will end with him still being an evil little piece of shit though since he never gets any redemption until LotR
Would prefer to play as aragorn or someone actually interesting.

>literally nobody:
>heres a game about gollum!
underage spotted
Go back
Finally a white MC in vydea, Imaright Gankerros?
Looks kino.
And it seems it's not based on the movies, which is good.
looks lame.
also animations feel off. why release a gameplay trailer to a game that looks unfinished?
>The camera jitter at 0:55
Without exaggeration: this looks like a fan game made by students.
AA jank
>They couldn't even pay out for Andy Serkis
>Meanwhile Andy is voice acting in budget indie warhammer titles no one has heard of
????????
Yeah, almost like the man can pick and choose his roles.
Yes he obviously chose not to do it because the money wasn't good enough or because the game looked like shit and didn't want his name attached to it.
Same thing happened with Dark Souls 2. Andy Circus wasn't involved there though.

These devs have tried (and failed) to shill their game here like 3 times already.
IIRC this was the first game actually announced for next gen consoles at the time, weird it is so late and looks so bland.
It looks good at least.
Looks like it will.plau like thief without the combat and only sneaking and stealing
No one wants to play as Gollum. What morons funded this?
>1/3 of the game is floating down the anduin river on a log chasing the fellowship
The devs probably hate the movies but will certainly cut out the boring slow bits from the books just like the movies.
I love Gollum bros. There's just something about a little cranky mentally ill skinny fat guy who hangs out in his home and talks to himself about things that piss him off and only eats meat that is very relatable.
good post
It looks like another one of those "HIRE THIS MAN" tech demos with <guy from X franchise> running around in stock Unreal Engine enviroments
looks like a indie game
not complaining about that. but usual boring hide and seek simulator
It looks like a PS3 game wtf
Why is that surprising, games that look like ps4/ps5 games are made by hundreds of people. Daedalic is a few dozen Germans.
There's literally indie games that look better
If it's garage devs, they don't have to meet milestones on a fixed schedule. A proper business has to be run like a business.
>Samtards coping about Gollum
You lost, he saved Middle Earth
Adventurebros, we won
YES WOOH
looks horrible
they cannot come up with nothing better?
Nacon b***hes ruined my Plantronics headset
I am one of those gays who read the Silmarillion and couldn't care less about this shit

I'm rooting for it, the devs have a couple lewd point and clicks under their belts, and this'll be their first big game.
