Every member of DR2's cast outside of Hopeman ranges from mediocre to outright awful
its true, theyre mogged hard by the incredibly based V3 cast
In terms of the cast
V3 >dr2 > dr1 >>>> udg
DR1 has the best cast though. They actually have dynamics outside of the protagonist
>They actually have dynamics outside of the protagonist
You can say the same about every cast.
Except 1 is flat out terrible people murdering each other for extremely moronic reasons and I'm glad most of them are dead.
All of DR1's cast is decent to good except for Aoi and Hagakure. Unfortunately they both stay alive throughout the entire game.
Aoi transcended to god tier after chapter 4
>They actually have dynamics outside of the protagonist
All the casts have dynamics outside the protagonists, but only the cast of the first game manages to be outstandigly useless outside of Kyoko (who's a boring mary sue)
V3 had the best dynamics between the cast imo
>kaito, shuichi and maki
>shuichi and kaede
>kokichi, gonta and miu
>angie and himiko
>keebo and kokichi
>tenko and himiko
>tsumugi and gonta
>kirumi and everyone
the only real lone wolves were ryoma (justified considering his personality) and korekiyo who mainly kept to himself anyway, but both of them still showed up for social gatherings.
and gonta
when do they interact?
tsumugi doesnt actively "hang out" with most of the cast since she needs to be able to constantly come and go from the mastermind's room and the flashback light room so her relationships with the cast are mainly just her commenting on others
out of anyone in the game though she constantly defends gonta, comments about him and tries to keep him in high spirits. you see this a lot during the trials. she also gets extremely upset during the chapter 4 murder reveal.
>DR1 has the best cast though.
lol no
Hiro, Toko, Leon and Hifumi were annoying and useless
Sayaka was forgetable
Celestia and Taka were moronic
Mukuro is a non character
Makoto is the most boring MC ever made
The rest were okay
No matter which Danganronpa game you pick, you will have annoying, useless, and a couple forgettable characters.
>Makoto is the most boring MC ever made
I do agree with that though.
UDG cast is 50% yuri slop, 45% dicky slop, and 5% enslaved hopeman. it's fricking weird.
I'd hate to be Dr2 fan and seeing UDG advertise itself as the window to the outside world where the Remnants of despair are in their prime, but only getting Hopeman bullied by snot nosed kiddies
V3's cast is absolute garbage, are you clinically moronic ?
Kokichi is the worst character in the entire series
t. V3troony
2's cast is based outside of Akane who is just Hinata but dumber.
Asahina*
>outside of Hopeman ranges from mediocre to outright awful
Hopeman was by far the best part of the game but rest of the cast was really good too and has the best girls in Ibuki, Chiaki and Peko.
>chiaki
thought you could sneak her in there didn't you/?
She's okay and her moments with Hajime were cute.
>Ibuki, Chiaki and Peko.
Peko is the only decent one and only because of that reveal. Outside of that she's a plank of wood, like most of the DR2 cast.
I tried playing the first game but the pacing's so fricking slow
>playing
What a blunder. You're supposed to watch them.
Fatkuya > Real Byakuya
>is a smug as the real Togami
>puts his money where his mouth is and takes charge immediately
>pulls his weight and lets no one die under his watch
>dies protecting his friends despite them calling him fat and not taking him seriously
>is one of the few characters to make out almost unscathed in DR3
>Ibuki (best girl) loves him despite being fat
he's just a big lad with a big heart, I love him
Awful character. Only exists for le epic twist that has no bearing on the story at all.
it's still a fun twist despite the irrelevancy
It's about the journey, not the destination
When writing a story where someone has to die every chapter, of course you're stuck with the limitations of the Chapter 1 character being comparatively low-impact on the plot. I mean. Unless you're Mukuro Ikusaba
Mukuro had less reason to die than fricking Tenko
I like Mukuro and find myself wishing she had a chance to do more, but the introduction of a chapter 1 murder victim who turns out to be a facsimile of the true mastermind is a great twist on a grander scale. Think about people who were spoiled on the game seeing images of real Junko and then assuming this Junko is going to turn around and be the final mastermind, only for her to die immediately and gruesomely. It's great head-frickery.
>the most based character in 1
How is he "based"? He's an butthole through and through who does nothing despite being one of few characters who are best suited for this kind of situation (group of strangers who need a bold leader).
His character flaws which make him more of a menace than a leader in 1 honestly make him far more enjoyable of a character, tbqh. These mystery games need an butthole who sabotages the process but isn't an actual killer, or the real suspect becomes visible way too soon.
I guess my problem is that my opinion on who would be worthy of "Ultimate Heir" is far too different from that of writer's...
Is what I would say if Not-Byakuya wouldn't literally be what I think fits title near perfectly. Meaning it's not a matter of different opinions - writer has idea who "Ultimate Heir" is, he just elected to have normal Byakuya instead.
I also think there are plenty of menaces in DR1 as it is.
>a serial killer
>a violent biker
>a rowdy failure of a singer/sportsman
>an extremely dangerous martial artist
>an average manipulator (Sayaka would most likely try to get Makoto to do something messy)
>an actual manipulator (Celes actually got people to do shit for her, unlike Byakuya)
>a mercenary
>eight people plus one had to die before guy figures out he needs to stop his act
"Redemption arc", or whatever it's called?
I don't get what "based" means anymore. Is it person who acts in his own interests and never compromises? Is it person who adheres specific set of morals? Is it just a person one likes enough?
>don't get what "based" means anymore
It means being a douchbag that does what he wants without repercussions
>person one likes enough
it's this. it means cool now
he learns his lesson in chapter 4 and chooses to fight alongside his classmates
>peeks under a dead girl (male)'s skirt and then fricks with the crime scene just for the hell of it
sounds pretty based to me
Shuichi best boy
Ranking all the girls in DR1, DR2 and V3:
>S tier
Aoi, Kyoko, Peko, Kaede
>A tier
Sakura, Chiaki, Mahiru, Angie
>B tier
Celestia, Junko, Ibuki, Miu
>C tier
Sayaka, Hiyoko, Sonia, Maki
>D tier
Akane, Tenko, Himiko
>E tier
Mukuro, Kirumi
>F tier
Toko, Mikan, Tsumugi
>Himiko that low
Garbage list.
You're right
She should be in C for dicky
Pretty decent, I would move Miu and Maki higher and send Hiyoko lower
Here's the real ranking.
>Toko, Mikan and Tenko that high
>femdom fetish
fricking garbage
good example of a smart character written by a moron
I pity the man who will read this without having played 2. You're not a good person.
he has good tastes
Who is the most filler character in the series?
clean it up kirumi
the monokubz
I love Chiaki so much, she's the best.
