The drummer from The Police composed the OST I think. Not worth mentioning in reference to him though, as his other works far exceed something as lowly as videogame music.
You say that, but the Sypro soundtracks are very near and dear to his heart. He kept the masters in perfect condition for almost 20 years, which allowed the remake devs to make the original music an option.

Spyro is excellently composed grow up
He has been using the Spyro font to compose a lot of his work though, some time ago I was watching some shitty Wesley Snipes film and I heard the music thinking

I thought I was having some kind of schizophrenic episode as a kid when I recognized the Amanda Show music in Spyro but no they literally used the same track in the show and the game as if no child with a Playstation would notice.

I don't know why but even though I think of Spyro 1 and 2 having better soundtracks, 3's soundtracks are a lot more memorable to me. Not in like an annoying earworm way or anything I just remember them better.
